Numeria has a long history of mystery and wonder buried under its rugged landscape, for on that one fateful night thousands of years ago, the Rain of Stars scarred the land. The fragmented remnants of a ship from beyond the stars fell from the sky, scattering strange technological ruins and deadly perils across the land. Today, these sites are feared by the barbaric tribes and coveted by the sinister spellcasters of the Technic League. Yet something worse than brutish berserker or super-science wizards has risen to power in these hidden technological ruins.
Something stirs in the shadows of Numeria and unless someone figures it out the whole world could be in danger.
Casting: When casting a spell defensivly if you fail you do not automaticly lose the spell, rather you provoke an attack as you normally would for not casting defensive. If you are hit you must make a concentration check dc 10+damage taken if you fail this check you lose the spell.
Rolls:
Many rolls will be handled by the GM in secret.(don't worry, I don't fudge.)
Any result that can influence the character behavior will not be rolled open.
Rolls that will be handled by the GM:
Perception
Sense Motive.
if you make the check I will send you a pm or make a post and put it in a spoiler depending on the situation.
Sometimes I will roll Initiative others I will ask you to roll depending on the situation. In some situation (rarely) I will bypass init entirely and have you all go first and enemies second or have enemies go first and you all go after.
Combat rules:
I'm a fair GM, I dont roll combat in secret, I don't change results, I don't ignore bad calls from the characters.
Sometimes, character dies, but I'm not a player killer, if I think that an encounter will be easy handled, when it should be more challenging, I will make it a more challenging, if the party it's not prepared to face something, I will drop hints, if they insist... well killing one or two players never made me lack sleep...
Actions:
I'm a GM that do not punish the character for trying something new or cool, or even strange. Visual appealing actions are encouraged, the dc will of course depend on what are you trying, but you can try! If what you want to do is wicked cool, I can even bend the game mechanics to allow it! The most importat part is: You are villains. Villains are smart, resourceful and have style! Have you ever seen a memorable villain that could just swing his sword and do nothing more?
Posting Rate
If it could be done, I expect 1/day posting, if you can post more, it will really good.
During weekend, this rule does not apply. If you are able to post, great! But dont stress over this, everyone need some time to rest (In my case, I need time to play and DM :D on my tabletop games).
Level up
Aside from character creation, when you level up, if you want something not from core rulebook, you'll need to search it inside the game. basicly what you need to do is just show in game your character is searching for that knowledge. This rule is not meant to prohibit anything, I just don't like something like this: "Character always as a full caster, never picked up a sword in his entire life, and then he gain a new level and says: Master, I'll level up as a fighter now..."

”Perhaps. Since three expeditions have gone missing, we have no way of knowing how...time sensitive the search for the counselor is. With the other matter we agreed to undertake we know we’re behind by ten days. A girl’s freedom is at stake. I agree with Valeria. We can’t just abandon a girl because a larger upfront reward is offered. Plus if we rescue her, who knows what may happen. She may be a princess. Though she probably isn’t.” Alvoise shrugs indicating that there are many conjectures they have know way of knowing which are valid.
Alvoise pauses for a moment then directs his gaze to Jayla, ”Why would the Technic League disrupt the flame? Wouldn’t a place that can melt metal be of use to them?”

"The League is no stranger to take-overs. Torch has been reasonably independant because of the flame and of no threat."
....
"Let us assume, hypothetically, that the flame is disrupted by an unknown cause, as is. Torch would become dependant on outside sources, like the League. Perhaps they'd conveniently find out the source of the problem and "fix it". But not until they have gathered sufficient influence that they control Torch."

Alvoise grins as Jayla tells of a possible scenario involving the Technic League and Torch. ”That’s devious,” he chuckles. ”I hadn’t considered that at all. Well done.”
He looks at everyone, meeting their eye’s for a moment before looking to the next one. ”So, what’s the group’s decision? Are we going to continue in our attempt to rescue the girl? Or are we going to talk to the council and look for the missing councilor?”

"We are pledged to try to rescue the girl. But I do not think it would hurt to go to the council and learn about the situation here. Maybe the same group is behind both kidnappings."

"If we decide taking up this venture as well, we do however risk the girl being sold beyond proper tracing. Inquiring to the potential of both kidnappings being connected could be beneficial."

"Thanks for your time and help,” Alvoise says. He makes no move to run after the sheriff or the trouble at the inn. Nodding to the others, he says, ”I guess we should talk to the city council next. I agree with what some of you have said. The priority is to rescue the girl.” He pauses to listen to the noises coming from the inn, attempting to ascertain if the sheriff will need help from citizen volunteers.

Alvoise sighs and shrugs in answer to Jayla's question. ”I don’t see how this is any of our business,” he grumbles. "Still, we need to help our companions." He doesn’t run, but he walks quickly to the inn.
You head towards the inn and the marshal kicks open the door. Inside a young woman is cornered by a machine. It pokes her with a staff glowing with yellow light and she collapses.
It turns to face you speaking Andoran. Did anyone learn that?

Raskir moves closer and calls a small whirlwind to envelop the machine.
"Halt, you iron monster."
Storm Burst (Su): As a standard action, the shaman causes a small storm of swirling wind and rain to form around one creature within 30 feet. This storm causes the target to treat all foes as if they had concealment, suffering a 20% miss chance for 1 round plus 1 round for every 4 shaman levels she possesses. The shaman can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Charisma modifier.

Alvoise shakes his head in annoyance since he doesn’t understand Taldane. He grabs a chair, thinking that would be a better weapon than his rapier. Standing next to the door, he holds the chair at his side, ready to smash it against the metal construct.
The machines swings it's staff at Val when she tries to grab on but there is a shower of sparks that come out of it's shoulder and it's arm fails to move for a moment. However as Val grabs the machine it's arm becomes functional again and it knocks her back.
attack of op on val:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 101d6 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 5 + (4) = 11
Xaikon shoots the robot and the Marshal goes forward attacking with his sword landing a solid strike on the machine.
attack:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 251d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
The machines turns and attacks the marshal and just barely misses thanks to the storm interfering with it's visuals.
attack of marshal:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 271d6 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 5 + (6) = 17 miss chance, 20 and under misses:1d100 ⇒ 2

Seeing space to attack the metal construct, Alvoise joins the melee flanking it with his companions Jayla, Raskir, and the marshall. He attempts to trip the group’s adversary by swinging the chair into its legs.
Oh it's the robots turn. I didn't realize and I was too distracted to notice there hadn't been a post here in a while. When your waiting for me if I haven't posted in a day or two please leave message in game or in ooc to get my attention. I frequently check for new post but I don't often check every topic.
Valeria missed her attack.
The marshal attack the robot and misses.
Marshal attack:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 151d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
The robot attacks once more this time targeting the marshal again but once misses because of the storm impeding it's targeting.
attack:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 191d6 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 5 + (2) = 9 miss chance 20 and under misses:1d100 ⇒ 14
Robot has taken 24 damage has around 45% of it's hp left.
With so many now in melee combat, Xaikon decides to stow her bow and unsheathe her sword, moving in closer to the metal construct. She remains in a ready stance with her long sword in hand.

Alvoise yells in frustration as swings the chair against the metal construct’s head.
Melee attack with improvised weapon:1d20 + 5 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 5 - 4 + 2 = 17 damage:1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 The +2 is from flanking. If the attack is successful, the damage (1d6) is the best estimate I came up with. It seems roughly what a chair would do.
