Rags McRory |
My raccoon gets a woodie.
Rags McRory |
"Drinks first." Rags replies to Markus and he makes a beeline for the iron bar.
"Line 'em up barkeep!" Rags barks to the bartender as he slaps down some gold.
Rags McRory |
"Something harsh and smokey......" Rags rasps out.
drbuzzard |
First he sets up six ceramic mugs on the bar top. Then he opens a cabinet, which seems to be pretty heavy duty. Grabbing a set of tongs, he reaches into the cabinet and takes out a metal contained which seems to shiver a bit on it's own one it is placed on the bar. He dons a face shield and heavy gloves before opening it cautiously.
Then he pours some bubbling and smoking fluid into your mugs.
"Here you go. " while scooping up the gold.
Rags McRory |
Rags throws it back.
and makes a Fort save
Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
and starts coughing and wheezing ....
"smooth......" he gasps out between his lips.
Kronug the Kellid |
"I'll take yours then." Kronug shrugs as he grabs Punchy's mug and starts two weapon drinking.
The drellid turns to the bartender and nods "Good stuff you have here, but I heard we might try something with more... Punch. Word out there says there's a guy that couod hook us up here, Orvignato's the name. There is a finder's fee, of course." Dronug adds as he shows fifty gold pieces before putting them on the bar.
Okay, my intention here is to Bluff us as buyers but I'd understand if this called for a Diplomacy check instead of a Bluff. I might be busy until tomorrow night so I'll roll ahead and list modifiers, choose your poison or ignore it if not
Bluff: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29
Only +4 if diplomacy, not my forte I reckon
Ulthar the Warped One |
"What he said... bro." Ulthar maintains his street disguise with expert tact and panache. Not like the class feature which is only cool for one deed.
Aid?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Marckus |
"We're looking for sort of a... 'special deal'. An ongoing arrangement, with sometimes, uh, 'non-traditional' payments. It's a bit of a sensitive subject, I'm sure you understand."
Bluff assist: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
I'm so useless though.
drbuzzard |
I'm sure some day you'll level up and be useful.
"Oh, then I guess you probably do need to see him. "
and he nods over at one of the bouncers who walks over and escorts you upstairs to a door. He knocks and the door opens.
Relatively clean air fills this handsomely appointed apartment. The smell of oiled leather pervades the room, and adorns several large chairs surrounding an imposing desk and a cruelly decorated bed. Several bookcases and cabinets of dark stone line the walls, their shelves lined with grim trophies—drow hands,
dwarf skulls, fleshwarped limbs, and less identifiable appendages. Overlooking the bed, oily black eyes stare from the mounted head of a gigantic centipede, its oversized visage
easily the size of an ox’s skull.
There's five drow sitting around the desk playing cards and drinking. Most are wearing white t-shirts over their armor which say 'Bodyguard' while the last one has a large paunch, and a white t-shirt stretched over it which says "Your Target the Boss".
Taedos Shyr |
Kicking off the fun and games. I'm not sure if the map was updated, it looks like a group of folks around a table (sort of).
Swift: Vanishing Trick (1 Ki)
Standard: Cast Silence on my weapon
Move: Stealthily move (aka full speed) while drawing silenced weapon into the room through number 4 onto the table and stand before number 1 assuming that is the boss man.
Not sure of all the rolls you want so putting a few just in case. Not sure if anyone would even get an AoO for the Acrobatics rolls unless they also happen to perceive me somehow.
Stealth: 1d20 + 35 ⇒ (14) + 35 = 49 while moving full speed
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19 move through #6 threatened space
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (8) + 15 = 23 move through #5 threatened space
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16 move through #3 threatened space
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30 move through #2 threatened space
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28 move through #4 space
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34 jump on table
Since they are all now Deafened they take a -4 to Perception and -4 to Initiative just like me.
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 3 - 4 = 2 (damn Cleric initiative)
drbuzzard |
Since you're invisible, you can get on the table. You're nimble enough to do it without bumping anyone.
As you folks coordinate about as well as a herd of cats, the surprise round is triggered by the dropping of the silence spell. As nobody but the cleric knew it was going to happen, only he acts in that round (unless someone has a shenanigan ability to act in surprise rounds).
We are now in initiative, so roll.
Rags McRory |
initiative: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
Kronug the Kellid |
Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Taedos Shyr |
Ulthar: 20 + 6 - 4 = 22
Kronug: 18 + 6 - 4 = 20
Baddies: 12 + 10 - 4 = 18
Markus: 18 + 2 - 4 = 16
Rags: 6 + 11 - 4 = 13
Sileth: 1 + 7 - 4 = 4
Taedos: 3 + 3 - 4 = 2
I'm first next round.
Ulthar the Warped One |
Ulthar glances about the room for a split second before zeroing in on the fleshwarped body parts and completely loses his g*~++%n mind. As his body twists and reshapes in ways that must be painful his overhead chop/smashes are accompanied by a pale blue glow as he swings at the small #1. Fortunately someone did something intelligent before he can begin his attacks, which is probably good. He can't be heard but a cunning lip-reader could possibly make out the intricacies in his attempts at speech.
Using Arcane Strike every round unless I mention otherwise
Power Attack plus rage plus arcane strike plus sneak attack AKA, Killify: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 24
Dam: 1d10 + 25 + 5d6 ⇒ (4) + 25 + (2, 5, 3, 1, 2) = 42
That whole thing again: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
Dam: 1d10 + 25 + 5d6 ⇒ (4) + 25 + (5, 4, 2, 4, 1) = 45
Taedos Shyr |
Ulthar, check out the map as you are nowhere near small #1. Kronug is in the doorway to their little office space and there is a spot in front of him. You're going to have to move into the room to get to anyone (#4, 5, or 6).
Kronug the Kellid |
Kronug does what he did in discussion because failure is my middle name.
drbuzzard |
Ulthar, while I have great faith in your gumby-ness I don't see how you can make an attack on someone you can't even see (no line of sight between you and the boss 1).
At the very least, you sure can't sneak attack a target which you can't see.
You would have to move into the room for that, which is past Kronug and thus you don't get a full attack.
drbuzzard |
I don't recall if I mentioned, but the big '1' is a drider.
3,5,6 all get into position to block the door engaging Kronug. They all pull rapiers and attack.
to hit: 1d20 ⇒ 14 damage: 1d6 + 22 ⇒ (4) + 22 = 26 hit
to hit: 1d20 ⇒ 6 damage: 1d6 + 22 ⇒ (5) + 22 = 27 hit
to hit: 1d20 ⇒ 10 damage: 1d6 + 22 ⇒ (5) + 22 = 27 hit
The one with the boss t-shirt pulls his hand crossbow and shoots Kronug in the head.
to hit: 1d20 ⇒ 12 damage: 1d4 + 19 ⇒ (3) + 19 = 22 hit and you are confused for 1 round.
The drider casts a spell.
Rest of the party is up for round 1, then Kronug and Ulthar for round 2.
Kronug the Kellid |
Well, that did hurt. 82 whole points of hurt after DR. Man, am I going to enjoy murderstabbing these mofos.
Rags McRory |
spellcraft: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (20) + 18 = 38
5' step to view the doorway.
I'd tell everyone what that drider did, but someone shut down communication......
Did he silent spell that casting?
Agony hex on #5 (DC20 Fort or be nauseated. Save every round)
Kronug the Kellid |
Before trying anything regarding the net, does it take an action to try the STR check? Also, confusion. Should I roll anything?
Marckus |
Marckus does that standing crunch thing that gives him extra skills so he can make like Ulthar and attack past people.
Swift action, Flex: Lunge & Stunning Fist
He then does exactly that.
Unarmed 1: 1d20 + 20 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 20 - 2 = 26, Damage: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Unarmed 2: 1d20 + 20 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 20 - 2 = 23, Damage: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Unarmed 1 iterative: 1d20 + 20 - 2 - 5 ⇒ (7) + 20 - 2 - 5 = 20, Damage: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Unarmed 2 iterative: 1d20 + 20 - 2 - 5 ⇒ (17) + 20 - 2 - 5 = 30, Damage: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
I guess soft cover applies
Sileth |
looking at the map.....um this could be bad. Quite a logjam at the door
as there are no targets available to him, Sileth says Shiiiiiiiiiiiii out loud which isn't loud or audible at all within the silenced area. As he backs out of the silence radius, sound becomes audible again iiit! and once there he casts HASTE. Affecting everyone except the Cleric who he cannot see.
