Should't your str bonus double as well for dmg?
Tariq Jalal |
Seeing that his companions have it well under control, Tariq moves back around the wall and reload his crossbow. He also checks on the group of kobolds making sure they aren't up to anything strange.
Irisus Versicolor |
Looking the combat at a distance, Irisus exclaims to himself: "Those aspis fight like beasts! I hope it will not became an endurance battle!

Radagast swings again at the Aspis agent, but misses this time. While Irisus remains defensive Beorin and Cathryn attack. Cathryn hits the foe right in the face with her scimitar. Tariq moves back to reload his crossbow. The kobolds try to gather as many bolts as possible to rearm the traps and don't cause any trouble.
The spellcaster drinks a potion and disappears while the Aspis agent uses his longsword to attack Radagast.

Time to do my finish move.
Irisus lifts his toad in his hand.
"Mwangi finish move activated!"
The toad growls and shine. The sounds of rainforest starts to be heard. Just normal sound. It a bit anticlimatic. Lots of small figment of colors enter the room, hiting the Toad. A small brown also come out of Radagast.
You evil-doer have broken the true law of the jungle. By you greediness, you have killed not for survival. Us Mwangi have a special link to the natural world. We are capable to draw power from it. Feel the jungle's wrath.
The toad shines more and more. After a very short time, the toad has become a sun illuminating the room.
Goodbye, I hope I will never see you again.
The toad opens his mouth and a beam bursts from it. Wide as the golden gardian, it thrashs the remaning aspis in the background without hurting the allies.

Radagast takes a mighty swing at the man who just appeared next to him and hits him on the head. Beorin also attacks, but his swing is less mighty and the man dodges easily. Cathryn's weapon hits the man, but not hard enough to deal any damage. Irisus' toad breathes a beam at the man. Radagast's releases the shot as the man appears, but the bolt misses the target.
The man takes a step back and grabs a potion from his belt. He drinks it.

Cathryn watches with disgust as one of her rare actual hits is dismissed effortlessly.
What's the point of my lowering myself to fight if I can't even inflict a wound? Clearly I should try something else.
Dropping her scimitar at Radagast's feet, she moves through the men and goes to the opponent, deciding to attempt to take away his advantage.
If needs be, for the sake of everyone, this is the end for both of us," she warns to the opponent.
She attempts to grapple him so that he can neither attack nor use any further potions, even if this does put her at risk of an attack of op. from him. Basically, this is a grapple variant. She means to hold him, especially his arms, in place so that if he tries to use a potion, spell, or weapon, she will not allow it.
Combat maneuver: Grapple: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

With Zaril Namoth and his Aspis Consortium expedition thwarted, the Golden Guardian and kobolds assist you in clearing the collapsed corridor of rubble. There you uncover the remains of Venture-Captain Nieford Sharrowsmith, which are badly damaged but identifiable thanks to his crushed wayfinder and other belongings.
The kobolds allow you to extract the body and its possessions in peace, but afterward the small humanoids make it clear that you have overstayed their welcome and should leave.
When you return to Nantambu, Aya Allahe is there to receive you. She listens to your recounting of your mission, and when she learns of Sharrowsmith’s death, she nods sadly and voices her thanks.
"Nantambu will not be the same without my friend Nieford Sharrowsmith. When he was younger, he traveled to all corners of the Mwangi Expanse and truly made the region his home, despite having been born hundreds of miles away in Avistan. He never truly lost his adventuring spirit, and as this lodge grew, he found his hours dedicated more and more to paperwork and less and less to exploring the lands’ rich history. I know his soul would take no offense at my saying he died as he would have wished — active, engaged, and in the field. I take solace in being able to provide him proper funerary rites."
The Venture-Captain sighs.
"With his passing, Sharrowsmith’s Exports has no venturecaptain, but I have corresponded with Nieford’s colleague Ambrus Valsin and agreed to act as the temporary manager of the lodge. After all, the full extent of the Pathfinders’ involvement in Nantambu has remained a something of an open secret, and it would be an embarrassment for anyone but a friend or family member to take command of the business so soon after the owner’s death. I dearly appreciate what you have done for the Society, for your venture-captain, and for me."[b]
Aya Allahe also examines the metal component you found in the Krihirik talisman. After a moment’s study, she quickly stands, recovers a piece of stationary bearing five graphite illustrations, and slowly smiles.
[b]"This is remarkable," she announces. "The shape of the talisman matches one of the drawings Ambrus Valsin sent me. What you have found is a piece of the Sky Key, the device even now the rest of the Society is at its wits’ end attempting to reassemble!"
Then, with quiet affection, she murmurs to the Sky Key component, "Congratulations, Nieford. You and your agents have once again done what the rest of the Society could not — a fitting tribute, and a fine legacy."

Beorin nods sadly, knowing yet another pathfinder has passed beyond to his just rewards.
GM Baerlie |
Earlier, on the way out Beorin used the red gel from the glass jar you found before on the petrified woman. She was openly surprised that her enemies revived her and deeply ashamed that she failed her mission.
and the diplomacy/intimidate check is not too hard for you
She told you about her mission. "I’m Vanei Thaskin. I was sent here to find out about any defenses. I got this far, but that... creature got me. I’ve had enough of this place and the Aspis Consortium! Zaril Namoth, an aristocrat from Ustalav, sent me. He works for the Aspis Consortium. He’s a dangerous man. They say he used to hunt big beasts for pleasure, but a tribe of Bekyar captured him. Somehow he survived, but he had changed. Now he hunts people. He loves to impale people with his great spear and take their heads with his kukri. People say he learned these things and some demonic magic from the Bekyar. The Aspis were looking for a Pathfinder agent who knows something about a dwarven device that would be of great value to the Consortium. There were also rumors that there is a golden statue in these ruins. They were going to melt it for profit."
and that's all the information she can give
