Mwangi Expert: You gain Polyglot as a bonus language and gain a +1 to all Knowledge (History) checks regarding the Mwangi Expanse.
Raineth was born in a isolated elven community to a long line of wizards and scholars. With hunger for knowledge in her blood, she spent most of her formative years reading every she could find and practicing the art of magic. As her appetite for knowledge grew, she found herself no longer content to just read about interesting things. She wanted to go places, meet people and use her magic in real and meaningful ways. However, when she attempted to persuade her parents to let her travel, they shot the idea down quickly. Her father, a former traveler himself, declared that the world outside was far too dangerous a place to go wildly exploring. For years she tried to sway her father, but he remained firm. She would not travel.
For a time, Raineth resigned to a quiet life with her books. However, her desire to see the world was ignited once more when she found an old book on the Mwangi Expanse. She became obsessed with the place, studying the ancient ruins and even learning the language of the tribesfolk. What fascinated her most was the overwhelming sense of mystery. More than anywhere else she had read about, she knew she would have to go there to ever truly understand it. Finally Raineth had reached a breaking point. She was now far enough into her adult years that her parents couldn't technically stop her from leaving. She packed up her notes and her spellbook and set out for Varisia, where she boarded a ship to the Mwangi Expanse.
Personality and Motivation:
Raineth undeniably a product of traditional elven culture, from her well-kept garb to her unnecessarily verbose explanations. As a result, many are quick to write her off as one of those arrogant elves who thinks herself better those around her. In reality, Raineth is fascinated by other cultures and has nothing but respect for what they are capable of achieving in their short life spans. Her traditionalism and overly erudite manner are just a byproducts of a very sheltered and academic upringing.
