Maven Brewbane |
I think my archetype makes me a bit more combat focused, though I do still have basic healing spells. I'll be more focused on buffing out equipment and dealing out the two-handed hurts.
Hmmm...Means there's a very real chance Dolgrin and I will both get picked to cover the roles...gonna get dangerous up in this party!
Rockjaw the Relentless |
Here is Rockjaw The Relentless, also known as The Unstoppable, The Ever-Moving or "Rockface" by his more 'endearing' friends (that's what you get when you use your head as a weapon :P)
True to his namesake he is headstrong, brash and always moving forward.
He is an armoured hulk barbarian built like a tank, and runs through foes like one :) Wearing heavy armor and a shield (everything made of stone oc) and a nice stone warhammer he is covered from head to foot in rock and moves like a boulder :)
I do have a question, would it be alright to take the bred for war trait despite not being 6' tall? There are other ways of being intimidating and imposing despite your size :)
Finally, I imagine we will all be tough nuts to crack ^-^ heavy armor everywhere, steel souls making us very resilent and racial bonuses to con and wis making us all near invulnerable 8D

I'm going to decline on the trait modification since it's specifically a human race trait. I think there's a few others out there that do similar effects, however, so you should still be able to find a good match. :)

Lets see those rust monsters do anything at all against my rock armor, my rock warhammer or even my Rockface! Ha! Eat that rustmonster. Or, you know, I could eat that...
I was planing on taking the adopted trait to gain access to the bred for war trait, but thats fine. Sadly it is the only trait that gives you a boost to your CMB, thats why I wanted it, but it would be hard to work into the story, being adopted by humans and raised by beasts... So I will look for something else :)
Faelar Braegen |
I am loving this so far, I know no-one has been selected yet. But this is just so fun, I never want it to end. Although spending eternity in the hall honouring the life of 1 man might get a bit boring after a while :P
I especially love the interacting among the characters.
Rob, I had been hoping to come from Janderhoff originally but moved somewhere else before it went quiet. Would that be possible if so, or if not any idea's where I could be from? Somewhere that gets a lot of Orc and Goblin invasion threats? I was thinking the Mindspin Mountains as that is where my Regional trait is from.
Grima Skuldafn |
Majority of crunch is in the avatar. I haven't settled on a first level feat or gear. Appearance, Background & Personality is anemically thin but will be fleshed out when I return from vacation on Thursday.
The concept is as per last PM: younger brother of Vigar Skuldafn and much weaker character whose ambition far exceeds his charisma to lead. Sort of Prince John or Richard III in many fictional accounts.
I'm the last to bed and pushing my luck.
cheers

Ok, generating a random background for Rogath Silvertarn, dwarven cleric of Cayden Callean:
Homeland, Family, and Childhood
Homeland: 1d100 ⇒ 1 -> Hills or Mountains (Goldsniffer (race), Highlander (regional))
Parents: 1d100 ⇒ 60 -> Both parents alive
Siblings: 1d100 ⇒ 22 -> Biological siblings: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Sibling 1 (age, gender): 1d100 ⇒ 941d2 ⇒ 2 -> Younger sister.
Sibling 2 (age, gender): 1d100 ⇒ 201d2 ⇒ 1 -> Older brother.
Sibling 3 (age, gender): 1d100 ⇒ 101d2 ⇒ 2 -> Older sister.
Sibling 4 (age, gender): 1d100 ⇒ 791d2 ⇒ 2 -> Younger sister.
So I'm the middle of 5 children.
Circumstance of birth: 1d100 ⇒ 29 -> Lower Class birth (Poverty-Stricken (social)) Same as every other character I've rolled up so far.
Parent's profession: 2d20 ⇒ (15, 1) = 16 -> Serfs/Peasants (Poverty-Stricken (social)) Again, same as every character - seriously... 5 characters, all lower class peasants? I know it's a likely combination, but it's not the majority of them... I'm going to reroll.
Circumstance of birth, take 2: 1d100 ⇒ 95 -> Marked by the Gods (Birthmark (faith), Sacred Touch (faith), Prophet (story feat))
Parent's profession, take 2: 1d100 ⇒ 50 -> Yeomen (Savanna Child (region))
Major childhood event: 1d100 ⇒ 35 -> Fall of a Major Power (Worldly (social)) Given the setting.... yeah.
Adolescence and Training
Cleric backgrounds: 1d100 ⇒ 21 -> Converted (Inspired (faith))
Influential Associates: 1d100 ⇒ 80 -> The Fiend (Possessed (magic), Damned (story feat)) Interesting....
Moral Conflicts & more
I'm going for CG, so rolling non-evil.
Conflict: 1d12 ⇒ 2 -> Petty Crime (1 CP)
Subject: 1d20 ⇒ 20 -> Non-humanoid monster (presumably intelligent)
Motivation: 1d8 ⇒ 7 -> Jealousy (4 CP)
Really? I pulled a prank on a monster because I was jealous?
To reach CG, I either have no guilt or enjoyed it.
Deity: Cayden Cailean Fortified Drinker
Romantic Relationship: 1d20 ⇒ 15 -> Several inconsequential relationships
Drawback: 1d100 ⇒ 24 -> Love (Lovesick (drawback))
Well, that was interesting. Not sure whether or not I like the result, but interesting.
Dr. Logem, Ph.Dwarf |
I'm all for dwarf anything. Dwarf parties? Yes. Dwarf ice cream? Of course! Dwarves riding ostriches in a macaroni pride parade through downtown Absalom? . . . heaven.
I thought about buying a Cave Camel from Wayfinder #9.. So how about a Dwarven Doctor riding a Cave Camel aboard a ship headed to an uncharted continent?
Rockjaw the Relentless |
Actually if I manage to make it onto the ship at all I expect the first thing I am going to do is keep n walking untill I crash right through the rails on the other side :P
Then sink like a stone ^___^ Ba-dum-bum!!! I imagine that there will be plenty of people to rescue me :) its not like I am swiming anywhere with my 11ACP... if only I could create a stone tower shield... I would be in heaven :)
Up next I am going to do character background generation, with lots of picking and choosing ^-^
Dr. Logem, Ph.Dwarf |
I'm kind of sad we have no one making this guy.
Also, Dr. Logem and two of his nurses as seen here, will be here to help you all in case Rob throws this at us.
Cheers! :P
Rockjaw the Relentless |
So just me creating a background :)
For those of you who think this is intresting (like myself) read ahead XD
Dwarf Homeland: 1d100 ⇒ 30 Mountians (Goldsniffer and highlander traits)
Parents: 1d100 ⇒ 13 both alive
Siblings: 1d100 ⇒ 99 no siblings
Circumstance of Birth: 1d100 ⇒ 96 Energy Infused? (Sacred conduit and sacred touch traits)
Parents Proffession: 1d100 ⇒ 94 Merchants (Merchant trait)
Major Childhood Event: 1d100 ⇒ 59 Inheratence (Rich Parents trait)
Barbarian Adolesence: 1d100 ⇒ 14 Champion of a God (inspired trait, Champion Feat)
Influencial Associates: 1d100 ⇒ 11 The Confidant (trustworthy Trait)
Conflict: 1d20 ⇒ 9 Cheater (I don't want to be a cheater D: I'll reroll) (3cp)
Conflict #2: 1d20 ⇒ 20 Mass Murderer (Gaah!!) (12cp)
Conflict Subject: 1d20 ⇒ 6 Nobles (gulp)
Modivation: 1d10 ⇒ 3 Pressured or Manipulated (2cp)
I currently have 14cp so CG, CN, LE or NE.
With regret I could be LN, LE, N or CG
With enjoyment I could be CN or NE
Crime: Murder
Punishment: 1d100 ⇒ 33 Fined (I murder a group of nobles and I only get fined???)
Punishment #2: 1d100 ⇒ 76 Trial by Combat (at least it makes a bit more sense :P)
Deity. I am undecided at this point. I'll come back here later.
Relationships: 1d20 ⇒ 9 Several Significant Relationships
Drawback: 1d100 ⇒ 77 Dependant (Dependant drawback)
Overview
Born in the mountians, energy Infused birth to merchant parents that are both alive with no siblings and gained an inheritance while being the champion of a god
