Agreed, I’m sorry it’s not working out. If it turns out you want to take another swing at it in the future, I can pull you back in.

For now, I’ll keep botting - at this point Bereket and Matthias, and probably Jessa most of the time - but as we approach the end of the dungeon, we will have to recruit. In lieu of opening on the boards, I usually pull from Dak’s channel.

Okay, some accounting here. We can adjust this, just using it to start a conversation.

Loot total gold value: 6,792.50
Divided 6 ways (including "Party" but not Jess): 1,132.08
Ring of Force value to Hollie: 4,250
Actual gold given to remaining 4 party members and party fund: 508.50
Hollie's "debt" per party member and to party fund (should we choose to track that): 623.58

I realized the Party fund already has 2,087gp. Add 508.50 and subtract 750 for a CLW wand and the fund now has 1,845.5gp.

Clarification: Adopting Lunal's wise plan, we can assign the ring to Hollie and divide the gold amongst the remaining 4 party members. This results in the following:

Bookkeeping time - the horses have been returned. It is now up to y'all to figure out how you want to be travelling around. There will be a significant amount of local travel for this next part. Once everyone settles on a method and a maximum "speed" then I know how long everything takes, and I can set up random encounters, etc.

This means if people want to buy horses - now's the time. If you want to use spells to boost your speed, great, I will factor in the speed they travel with and without the spells to determine how far they get before it falls off and when things need to be refreshed.

Another example is like, at level 6, Krovek can turn into a desert giant and get move speed 50 (35 with heavy armor), and have Cator on his shoulder. If that's the preferred method of travel for those two, then they would have an overland speed of 50'. Alternatively, Krovek could turn into a horse, as well.

The speed of Kazaht and Draxtherian must be accounted for as well. You can organize this on discord if you want, but whatever is decided should be plopped here for posterity. :)

Not sure if it was an intentional reference or not, but "On to the next one" was the end-of-show mantra for the old "Ghost Hunters" show on Syfy. Very apropos during a haunted house adventure.

@everyone before we open the door, everyone can level up. Treat it like kingmaker/wrath of the righteous if you’ve played them.

1) you get new abilities
2) your current and max hp go up
3) current and max use per day of abilities (bardsong/lay on hands, etc) goes up - but any uses still count for your “per day” requirements.
4) if you add spells known for a particular level, and you have slots left - you can cast that spell, but you don’t get additional levels/slots without a full rest.

You also can’t fill slots for memorized spells either.

You can always rest before opening the door. Ooc it’s (mostly) fine and I won’t punish you in terms of encounters that are missed, etc. That said, the party is in a HAUNTED HOUSE so… make of that what ye will.

Spells being considered
Air Geyser: Great for single target, does notable damage when fall damage is included, and will likely leave them prone as well.
Lightning Bolt: Zip, zap, ow
Sheet Lightning: 20 foot radius daze, great for battlefield control, but does basically no damage.
Draconic Reservoir: A very interesting choice. I could throw this on one of our melee people and then do something like throw a lightning bolt through them, not only protecting them from the damage but then augmenting their melee attacks.

So many languages! Maybe one of Celestial / Abyssal / Infernal? Or Necril since we're dealing with undead?

I vote Lightning Bolt because it's classic and painful and makes Lunal scary. Draconic Reservoir is cool, but Communal Resist Energy is better if there's time to hit multiple allies with it.

I actually think Shaedeen can withdraw while frightened--doesn't require being completely reckless in getting away (compare that to panicked), but I defer to the GM about that.
