Shaedeen Valzanar
Shaedeen nods at Hollie's words. After a pause, the teen asks, "So...what do we do now? Is the sheriff going to look into Lord Foxglove's associates, or is that something we'll be doing?"
Hollie Skyborn
Hollie thinks a moment. "No. We're going. If Apsu is expecting me to be a leader, then I can't just sit around waiting for permission to do the right thing," she says as she turns and heads towards her room. "I'm going to get my gear and get ready. Can you inform the others that we need to wrap up selling off the loot we found and get ready to ride for Magnimar?"
Shaedeen Valzanar
Shaedeen again nods, but this time it's accompanied by a smile. She runs back to the inn to inform the others of Hollie's decision and to gather up her own gear as well.
Krovek Vorenus
Krovek is relaxing and enjoying some well-earned ale as he tries to forget the horrors of the manor they had just explored. He didn't really like getting mind-controlled to near death.
He grins when Shae comes in, but is surprised by the news. "Heya Shae--wait, Hollie wants us goin' again? Sure ya don't wanna have a drink first? A half-hour won't change much if we're talkin' 'bout goin' ta Magnimar."
Shaedeen Valzanar
Shaedeen's initial impulse is to turn down Krovek's offer and prepare for the ride to Magnimar. After thinking it through a bit, though, the scrawny teen pulls out a chair at Krovek's table and orders an ale from a passing waitress.
I really don't have a whole lot of possessions to prepare, the young rogue reflects. Plus, I've never really gotten to know the others well. They probably all think of me as 'Hollie's little shadow.'
As she sips her drink, Shae opens up about herself a bit, warning Krovek that she's got enemies in Magnimar, and adding that she was once a member of the all-female cat-burglar gang known as the Tower Girls.
"I intend to keep a low profile when we return to the city," she informs the big guy. "If possible...."
Krovek Vorenus
Krovek laughs. "Ah, so comin' back home, eh? Well, home ain't always easy, 'specially when ya got a strange family history. I can sure tell ya a bit about that."
Krovek shares some history of him, his father, and his brother--confirming that Cator really is his half-brother. "Low profile? Guess that's normal for a burglar and all, but not really my style. How 'bout some payback! Maybe visit that Keri girl, take some of the coins and jewelry she said you stole." He lifts up his glass half-seriously as a toast to his own plan.
GM Litejedi - RotRL
As a reminder, there's tentatively the matter of a) how to deal with the house b) how to deal with Rogors, c) what to do about the necromancer interested in ghouls. All/None of these threads can be pulled, or you can go to Magnimar.
