Achlys Dess |

Achlys' free hand clenched into a fist by her side before releasing and the inquisitor finding her words (and her patience).
"Tomas is correct in saying you should not have cried out in such a manner at the sight of mere, dead birds. All of us believed you were in danger or the priory had come under attack."
That the woman did not like weapons made the matter worse -- how did Roseann expect to protect herself or others -- especially such a fragile person as she was that she would scream at the sight of dead birds. Achlys inwardly shook off her annoyance and lowered her sword arm.
Turning to Malvenos and Tomas, she enquired without preface, "Do you require aid at present or can we retire and await the morning bell? Also, what became of the poisoned girl in the infirmary? She locked herself away and would not permit us entry yesterday. I would speak with her, today. If she again refuses to open the door upon request, I will break it down and recompense you for the repairs. To lock one's self in implies there is something to hide. Not to mention no other can use the infirmary if the silly girl is locked within."

DM. |

@ Felixus, Tammarie
You can enter Malvenos quarters in the first floor as he left the door open (probably from the hurry). The quarter is sparsely-furnished but there is nothing remarkable in it. A bed, a small table, there is no even a chest but a basket where Malenos put his clothes. A quick search reveals nothing about the icons.

Felixus Deonus |

Felixus looks at the spartan room. He quickly checks around the room looking for any religious items of devotion. He will also thump on the mattress and pillow to see if anything has been stuffed in either.
"This is weird." He says to Tamarie. "In all my years as a brother I have never known a monk's cell to be this spartan. They usually have icons, letters, mementos from home. But this is incredibly and hideously bare."

Achlys Dess |

Her amber-gold gaze travelled between the pair; her look hard and questioning.
"Why, then, did none of you check on the girl last eve? Call her to sup with us in the hall or bring food down to the infirmary? You allow a stranger to lock herself away with no vigilance or concern. You say she was poisoned, yet none speak to her nor give her chamber as you did for my companions and I. Is this typical of the brothers in the priory? To turn such a blind eye to an injured traveller? If I must act to secure my safety and thus the safety of my travelling companions, I shall."
Her words were not spoken loudly or in anger, but with earnest conviction that something was awry in the priory and the brothers were accountable for their indifference (or something other).
"I respectfully suggest that the clergy go to the infirmary and request she unlock the door, make herself known and have her condition examined further. I will accompany the chosen disciple, as a precaution, of course."
Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 20

Jal Hetzau |

Jal prefers not to tell anyone about the poison, yet, as it perfectly can be a sad accident, as rat poison might be around (and don't need to fuel Achlys suspicious matter any further).
He volunteers to go see the girl in the infirmary too.
"Should we take something to eat for her?"

Ythel |

Easy brother Tomas, she just want to check and be sure that the other guest is not a danger. Well, follow me then.
Tomas don't like the situation and just leave to his room, Roseen seems still disturb by the dead birds and leave to the Library. Malvenos go with you.
In truth, Tomas shares the same doubts as you of Eiravel, but Ruan allowed her to stay and he will not do anything directly against that
Ythel Identify himself in the Infirmary and ask the guest there to open. A few seconds later the door is open. You can again smell the strong perfume you smelled yesterday.

Jal Hetzau |

Jal approaches the girl, pushing Achlys out of the way.
"My name is Jal Hetzau, and might Darlen bless you. If you ever need something, just let me know."
He turns towards the others.
"She is Achlys Dess, a wonderful person, an inquisitor of Desna."

Felixus Deonus |

Felixus turns to his companion. "Could you check to see if anyone else is coming, I want to check a couple of tricks I knew some other novices to do? "
DM, how do you want to handle this? Felixus is absolutely not going to check a trick or two, he's going to do something a Paladin might (probably) will find questionable. If it were an NPC I'd make a bluff check but it is a PC

Achlys Dess |

"I am from the Church of The Inheritor -- Iomedae." That the so-called soldier deemed to push her aside set Achlys' teeth to edge. That he could not remember her god only made matters worse and she wondered again at his inadequacy as a protector. That the Brother, Tomas, seemed to feel he had a right to condemn her faith and remind her of her particular debt to the priory was not something she would allow to continue.
Without more than the passing valediction, "May Iomedae keep you safe. I will take my leave", to those standing by the infirmary door, the Iomedaean turned on her heel and headed back to her bedchamber. She retrieved the parcel she was sanctioned to deliver, wrapped the woollen coat and water-proof poncho around her and collected her pack and other weapons. Without word of her intent, Achlys made her way to the curate, Ruan.
She tapped on his door and announced her presence.
"Curate, my mentor bid me to travel to the priory and deliver unto you this gift. Priestess Cyra's brother's final wish was for you to have this, for you were his esteemed mentor, and so my promise has been discharged. I leave you five gold pieces of my own coin in gratitude for your hospitality and as donation unto your Church. I respectfully take my leave and will return to my mentor without further delay." She bowed her head and left the curate's chamber.
Achlys had a quiet word to Agramayne -- giving her protector leave to stay and continue on in the priory, if that was his wish. If it was not, she would wait for him to pack his belongings and then they would head out -- through the roads/tracks from whence they had come; Achlys utilising her capable wilderness talents, as she had many times in the past. (Included Agramayne as we entered the game together and so it seemed fitting to leave it to him to address in character once he is back on the board.)
