During the confusion, the Sentinel you were questioning begins to slowly back away.

I'm playing it this way in case Erika's to come back at some point. If she does, she now has a reason to rejoin the party. If not, there'll be a cameo at some point in the future so she can get that information. :-)

Are you alright friend Zsestrian? Silence asked soft concern in his voice mixed with a bit of irritation. He was reading the note with a frown. His tail certainly expressed the latter as he looked at the concious Sentinal. "does anyone have some rope, It was one of the things i meant to replace after the festival and well.." He paused and shrugged. They were aware what kept him from resupplying. This whole situation had him confused.... which made him irritable to say the least. Friend Erika disapearing like that, made him question a lot of things, but now wasnt the time he supposed.

"Listen supposed Sentinal man. Here is what we are going to do. We are going to heal your friends up, tie you up, and have you lead us to this lodge of yours. If all is good and your commander can explain why things in this land are wrong wrong, then we will see that apologies are properly handled... If we go to your lodge and you are sneaky loot wanting bandits well..." He paused smiling at the man, It was indeed very very toothy, his sharp teeth obvious. "lets not worry about what happens if you are lying to us yes yes shall we." He said softlyand calmly patting the man on the head.

I added both simply because I can see how his words might be taken both ways, I will let the mighty and awesome benelovent diety decide how the sentinal bandit man takes it.

Blik, who hid behind Hobbes when Zsestrian began speaking strangely, will poke his head out and say,

"She... just left? Oh..."

Looking disappointed, Blik won't say anything when the Sentinel begins to move away. Apparently mad at these humans for running away I'll have to remember that..., Blik will speak up when Silence begins reprimanding the Sentinels.

"Ah, um I have some rope. But uh, wouldn't their pack leader be mad we tied them up? You've proven you can chase them down, maybe a small show of trust would loosen their tongues..."

Waiting to see how the Blik/Silence exchange plays out. And in case anyone else wants to chime in.

Silence shrugged and glanced at the sentinals. "drop your weapons, you can have them back when this is all sorted out then... Run and I will catch you." He said baring teeth again this time on purpose. He was already getting a bad feeling that they had made a mistake, but his stubborn pride wouldnt let him just completely give everything up. "If you would please give the two wounded fellows a bit of that wand waving Hobbes." Silence said with a slight sigh going up to his mule Charger and patting hit. "See all better." The feline said half awkwardly as if the two sentinals werent almost killed. He moved over to Mule and remounted resheathing his katana and getting a grip on the haft of his naginata. "By all means, private sentinal lead us to the sentinal's headquarters so we can speak with you commander." He said making it apparent that the one who had remained should by all means walk in front... with silence on his mount and weapon right near behind him a bit. Cause you know walking behind someone was easier in snow, ... not so he had a weapon at his back or anything like that... honest.

Spoiler:
Okay not so honest. I think the point is made though that running wont get you very far, and you have better not be leading us into an ambush or your a dead man is really the point of it.

All three Sentinels appear thoroughly chilled before the hour's up. After climbing at least 100ft into the trees, the snowy trail finally levels off. In a clearing among the trees, a large wooden lodge overlooks a ravine spanned by a long rope bridge. Smoke rises from the lodge's two snow-covered chimneys, and a large woodpile is stacked against the outer wall. A small outbuilding stands east of the lodge, and a stone well nearly blanketed by snow is barely recognizable to the north. Several tracks lead southwest toward a detached stable.

Ahead of you, a female Half-Orc Sentinel is walking back to the lodge with an armfull of firewood. She appears to be talking to herself but stops and looks up as you approach.

Orcish:
"Ten-Penny, cook this! Ten-Penny, clean that! Ten-Penny, we need more wood for the fire! Ten-Penny, change the bedding in the sickbay! Ten-Penny, you're new here, so you don't get a share of the loot yet! Gotta earn your keep first. So much for the cushy protection racket I was promised...."

Gave her a 50% chance of being attracted to the handsome Catfolk Samurai. Naturally that's the way the dice rolled. This could get interesting.... Especially since, with CHA 13, she isn't bad-looking either. ;-)

>^.^< *shrug* im sexy and i know it

The feline blinked... a lot. He glanced to Neverhome absolutely confused as what was going on.
"I come from the distant lands ... He said quizically his whiskers twitching in confusion and well slight embaressment. It wasnt polite to sit astride a horse however no no, He slid from his mount and offered her a polite formal bow. (you know the fist in hand half forward from the waist style mr. miyagi bow.) His tail slowly writhed back and forth as his ears flickered back and forth.

"these men claim you are with them, and that they are not bandits, though they speak of loot like a bandit. This has sown confusion amongst our little group, as we are here on business of the town and their was a bandit attack on a carraige. He paused and glared at the sentinals and then at neverhome. The way the female orc was looking at him made him a little self concious and stiff now.

"They also say you are not intelligent, but surely you are wise enough to tell us the truth of things here.
diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Diplomacy hopefully to get the nice pretty half orc lady to tell the truth *nods nods* which obviously didnt work cause the cat has got the cats tongue. Im a high yes, no low sort of guy, so not entirely okay with the idea but also i would say not inherintly against it. *lawls*

Orcish:
"You'll have to forgive milord's shyness but yes we had an altercation with these brutes and came here to clear things up. And then, of course, milord saw you. These brutes, on the other hand, having insulted you doesn't speak that well of them."
Neverhome will dig into reserves of stoicism instilled in him by the cold and depression of Irrisen to keep a perfectly emotionless face as he converses with the lady.

Neverhome Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 19

As Silence speaks, the woman looks confused, but this quickly descends into irritation, then anger. Maybe she misunderstood you? She begins to storm off in a huff when Neverhome interjects. She warms slightly at his words but still doesn't look happy.

Silence dropped her from Indifferent straight to Hostile, but Neverhome managed to bump her up to Unfriendly. I'll give you another chance, because I'm enjoying this bizarre turn of events, but there'll be negs. Anyone else can chime in too. :-)

The felines ear lay flat as she obivously got a bit angry. He was at a loss for words almost it was obvious he was flustered. *lawls* she can take that as chagrin i suppose? "This strange weather has done bad bad things friend Ten-penny. Yes yes." The feline began trying to give a nice smile. One not so full of sharp teeth and reminders that he could be a feirce opponent.
"We are here to stop it, and other bad things from happening. Why, we are heroes. " He said adding a nod and patting friend Neverhome on the back. He blinked at friend Neverhome. He wish he knew what he was saying to her. She had spoke to him in the common tongue, but perhaps there was some sort of dialectal confusion?
"yes heros!....?" Silence added tentively trying his best to sound like a nice swell fellow and not make the half orc female any more upset.

Neverhome will return the wink,

Orcish:
"Oh! You'll forgive me for getting ahead of this conversation, We don't even know of your name milady. These... others addressed you as Ten-penny but given whats been put before us I don't give them much in the way of belief. A pretty name for a pretty lady I presume?"
He'll give a much more exaggerated bow before turning to the group, "Perhaps we should finish this somewhere warmer? The cold seems to have worn everyone down a bit much."

When they come arrive at the lodge, Zsestrian will look in awe at the building for a second, and then unwrap Crow. Can fly again, lose +2 against cold weather saves

Then as the peculiar scene starts to unfold, Crow and Zsestrian will try to catch what Lyosha is saying.

Crow Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

Wow. Never thought he could have been such a smooth talker. Maybe he's some sort of exiled prince or something! Cast away by his evil uncle, is now roaming this lands to train himself and retake the throne! And...

While the witch is developing his terribly complex plot, Crow will listen to the whole conversation, shaking his head and letting out what was trying to be a sigh when Silence makes the half-orc angry.
"That's not how you treat a lady" he will croak, mostly to himself.

GM Rolls:
Ten-Penny: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

The Half-Orc smiles at your words. "Heroes, you say? Well come on, and I'll introduce ya to the boss! He's always lookin' for more help." She gives Silence a wink as she starts walking toward the Lodge. "Maybe afterwards the two of us can get better acquainted...."

Your three Sentinel buddies look to you expectantly.

Blik/Neverhome:
The diplomacy seems to have worked, as she's definitely friendly towards the party.

Hobbes/Silence/Zsestrian:
The Half-Orc appears to still be angry, though she hides it well. The current friendly act is unsettling, but she's definitely genuine about wanting you to "meet the boss".

@Silence & Hobbes:
"Love and anger are the same side of the coin, even moreso for those with Orc blood coursing through them."
