Alexander, to put things simply, is somewhat of a hypocrite. He will, when asked, explain his distaste in witches of any form, as well as unfavorably speak of anything that involves them, such as changelings. Despite his disposition towards them, he's a sadist at heart that enjoys the thrill of combat and a well-placed blow as much as he does a trip to the local brothel. He's coarse, intimidating, but reliable in a fight, and works towards ultimate goals all while seeing his "Guilty pleasures" as something to fill up his free time. He does this despite his celestial bloodline, much to the dismay of, to quote himself, "Whoever had the balls to leave his mother estranged."
Alexander doesn't know much about his now-deceased mother, but he does know that his birth was worth celebrating, apparently. An Aasimar always was something to celebrate, after all, what with being blessed with "Good blood." In his later years he'd never cared about it, and he eventually disliked the pedestal he'd been placed on, as he was a man of simple pleasures.
At one point, a priest explained to him very carefully that his birth was watched closely by the Archons, beings of immaculate law. The fact that a being of pure law may have had a hand in leaving his mother alone in the cold north with another mouth to feed never made sense to him, and it may as well have been the reason why he eventually lost interest in the gods, or whatever mattered about his holy blood.
Eventually, the cold claimed his mother's life in her sleep on a particularly cold night, putting the man into a fit of rage and hopelessness, cursing the fact that his blood protected him from the winter when he didn't even deserve it in the first place. Officially cursing his bloodline, he burned the house with his mother in it and fled south, drinking himself silly and mingling with anyone who could stand his drunken sob stories.
After a particularly close brush with death in all it's graces after a risky barroom brawl, he decided that he wasn't about to just go out and die a nameless, boring death as a common street thug. Clasping his mother's pendant, his only memory of her left, he began the long walk back to Irrisen, fronting money for a rather large, unwieldy yet intimidating scythe and a cloak to keep the cold off on his journey.
He didn't know what exactly what was waiting for him back home, but, he cracked a smile at the thought of it. A new life, no pedestal, and no one to shame him for dipping in the local provocations. Little did he know that, in his absence, something was stirring all the while.

My idea for my character is someone of Varki descent. My character's ancestors would have come to Taldan correctly assuming that the Taldans could not distinguish Varki from Ulfen and would have hired out as mercenaries and bodyguards while trying to get into the Ulfen Guard. The most recent to do that was my character's father, who was found out by real Ulfen who, protective of their privilege, removed him from the training and cut off his right hand to make sure he'd never wield a sword again.
He actually married an Ulfen woman though and as such my character's two older brother are now in training to become members of the Ulfen Guard. The character itself would be tied between curiosity about it's actual Varki heritage and it's father pushing it to join the Ulfen Guard.
As for class, I'm not sure. Fighter(Viking), Barbarian, Bloodrager, Brawler and Skald would all fit as would an Oracle or a Shaman with the Ancestors Mystery/Spirit.
EDIT: Forgot the rolls
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 5, 1) = 11 10
4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 3, 5) = 15 13
4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6, 1) = 13 12
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 2, 4) = 17 15
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2, 3) = 17 15
4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 2) = 16 14
Rather mediocre.

Edit: Requesting approval of the Spellkiller inquisition (seems quite fitting).
But of course, that's allowed.
Hero lab let them stack and I'm up to date with the downloads and information. So I should be ok.
That depends on how you read crossblooded. Technically, it alters any and all bloodline powers and arcana(by giving you a choice between two instead of sticking you with a fixed one), and thus you can't take any archetypes that modify any of that, as you can't have two archetypes that alter or replace the same features.
I'm fine with it though, so long as you only have one instance of a wildblooded bloodline.
In other news, I like the applications I've read through so far.
16BC might be backing out due to lack of confidence in me, which I suppose is fair enough. I'll update you on this when I know more. Might mean that there's an open skilled/archery spot, or that you want to avoid applying too.
Regardless, thought you should know.

Kandar Dinesson |

I've slept on my concerns and have firmly decided to stick with this thing and see it through to the end. No one can prepare us for the curve ball that is real life, after all. Plus, I really like the submissions so far. I'm certainly looking forward to playing with a few of these characters! Thank you for being so transparent with me TPFP, despite the fact that my name is sixteenbitICON not sixteenbitCOIN, hah.
Let me know if you find anything disagreeable on my profile. Take note that I've switched around my traits a bit. Just a few notes on my background, I plan on Kandar travelling to Riddleport after the slaughter of their caravan where he spends some time researching magic with the Cyphermages and, ah, getting to know the fine people at the House of the Silken Veil (it is his ultimate desire for revenge that drives him to learn about, and ultimately begin worshiping, Calistria).
While I haven't quite completed a full feat progression for Kandar, I'm planning on working towards improved snap shot to synergize with the disruptive feat.

Droomag the Red |

4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 2, 4) = 11 -> 9
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 2, 3) = 10 -> 8
4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 1, 4) = 14 -> 13
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 3, 6) = 19 -> 16
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3, 1) = 14 -> 13
4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 2, 2) = 11 -> 9
Yeah, going with that point buy. I can do better than that.
I'll throw an app in the pot and see if either game I've applied to accepts it. I'll probably have to drop out if my previous app gets picked, but otherwise, count me interested for a kobod draconic bloodrager!

One thing I couldn't help but notice was the lack of skill monkeys and martials in the character submissions so far. Lots of arcane though... Though I think I'm wrong in assuming Kineticists are Arcane.
Kineticists are psychic technically, but party role wise they are not casters. I (the guy who submitted the kineticist) will not be getting any spells per say, just fire related tricks.
I plan on starting as mainly ranged damage, but eventually picking up the kinetic blade infusion, so I can fight in melee as well. Fire should be fairly effective in this AP, since it's supposedly a lot of cold type monsters. I cover most of the skills listed in the player's guide as well.

TwelvePointFivePercent |
So after looking at the current list I would like to put forth a Psychic Astomoi.
I don't have anything against astomoi. I don't really know anything about psychics though, beyond passing knowledge of kinetics, so if you could outline what sort of role you'd fill in the party when you've put your character together, that'd be much appreciated.
A quick question - does everybody get the specified bonus feats, or just PCs?
Everybody. Monsters don't get replacement feats if they already have some of them, although classed npcs do.
Animal companions, mounts etc. get them as well.
If Leadership was allowed (it's not), followers and cohorts would have them too.
Almost done with the crunchy bits. I do have a question though.
Since Swashbuckler gets a version of weapon finesse, is there an alternate bonus feat or are you considering the class skill as an equivalent?
Currently - Human (Taldan) Swashbuckler
Originally, I didn't think that I'd give anything in return, as most people won't be using the weapon finesse, but I suppose swashbucklers can have their precise strike come online at first level in exchange.
U-rogues get their dex to damage at first level, but taking a level of unchained rogue 'locks in' your next two levels as more unchained rogue, coming to three levels total. So if you were a swashbuckler who dipped rogue for dex to damage with your rapier, you'd have to take two more levels of rogue before you could go back to swashbuckler levels.
I'd like to possibly join this one. I was looking at running Tengu Inquisitor (especially if I can use some of the alternate racial traits).
ARTs are fine. Just not the insane human one that gives +(amount of knowledge skills as class skills) to all skill checks.
As 16BitIcon said (sorry for mangling that name so many times, by the way) there's already an inquisitor in the party, so going for that cleric idea is probably a good call.

Kandar Dinesson |

I am wondering how my role as a ranged inquisitor with negligible face skills is serving to upset party composition (especially considering it's limited to 4 characters). On one hand, I don't want to be that guy, but on the other this is the character I've been wanting to play for this AP. I could possibly entertain a few other ideas before I get into the thick of this character's background. It's interesting that our roll20 group is going through these exact same growing pains (what people want to play vs. what would make a balanced party).
I shall think on this.

Nalita Bakji |

I'll put forth this character. Obviously I need to update her for your build specs and strip a level off her.
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 2, 2) = 64d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 6, 4) = 204d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 2, 5) = 144d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 5, 3) = 144d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 2, 6) = 134d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 6, 3) = 14
ech...with those stats I think I'll stick with 20 point buy lol.

Ahti, the changeling Shaman, is very nearly done. All I need do is pick our the spells she has prepared and the rest of her quipment. Her background and a link to her character sheet in in this profile.
Following the link shows an error message, but presumably on the right site.
It might be due to the sheet being set as private, maybe. The error message said something about that.

Personaly I’ve always been a fan of play what you want. The aps are made to be playable by almost any party as long as you keep the player’s guide in mind. The only problems can be healing and swarms, but the first can be fixed with wands and the second with items if necessary.
On another note, personally every party I’ve ever been in or run with multiple ranged characters has done very well.

Definitely agree with Jelani. Party composition is dependant on party diversity. The reason we think highly of the classic "fighter, cleric, wizard, (rogue)" isn't because every role is filled but because every player brings seperate niches to the table and as such they'll always have a chance to shine. So, given that you're playing a ranged specialist with no diplomacy, the remaining three spots just have to be filled with three other roles. Ideally, yes, we'd have a face, and a frontliner, and a controller and so on, but no, your choice doesn't inanely throw everyone else out of whack.

Helderbrecht Haake |

NerdOfTheYear submitting my rough crunch for this campaign here.
Helderbrecht Haake is a Kellid mountain-goat herder who is particularly inept at his job. Prone to mental wandering and pondering, Helderbrecht (or "Heldy" as his mother calls him) has spent many years out in the cold, tending the flock, alone but for the constant voices echoing in his head. Helderbrecht is often in trouble for losing sheep, but despite this his affable nature leaves him well lived in town.
It is a little known secret that when Helderbrecht was a child, he was taken away to apprentice as a Winter Witch. It was only when he returned a few months later with no real memory of his time away that the locals noticed just how inattentive and distracted Helderbrecht could be...

Kandar Dinesson |

I've been struggling to find the time to sit down and write, but here is what I have so far:
<>><<>
We were making good time. We’d just finished drying our gear after having forded the Steam River and according to Da we had another day’s travel before heading into the Nolands, home to warring bands of criminals and vagabonds. It was at dusk that night when I saw the first snowflake. One turned to many, and before we knew it, everything was dusted with frost. We weren’t expecting weather like this for a tenday, but didn’t think it anything of it as we donned our furs and wool cloaks. I didn’t hesitate to range out ahead of our train and before I knew it, the wagons were lost in a sheet of white. The winds picked up and the flakes got larger, and heavier. I heard Da yelling for me, but his voice was distant and it was hard to tell what direction he was calling from. I turned round and round trying to follow his voice and that was when I noticed the blue glow. It was obscured by snowfall, but without thinking my steps lead me towards it. It was coming from a solid white column, about waist high, which lie at the heart of the storm. I heard whispers, their tone was warm and inviting, but I didn’t recognize the language. The urge to reach out and grasp it was too great to bear. As I bent down I noticed arcane markings flowing across the smooth stone, the source of the glow. They pulsed in a rhythm both soothing and inviting. I reached out and laid my hand upon it’s cool surface... Snap! ...The world went dark.
<>><<>
When I opened my eyes, nothing greeted me but the blazing sun floating lazily in a clear blue sky. My head throbbed and I could still hear that old crone’s maniacal cackling. She would haunt my dreams every night without fail. Always point and laughing, rambling hysterics in a language I didn’t recognize. But somehow I knew that she was condemning me to death. It was only a matter of time… I scanned the blinding horizon and noticed some forms off in the distance. The caravan. I made my way towards it, methodically trudging through the snow as my mind slowly pieced itself back together. As I got closer I thought it strange that I could see no movement. And then I saw them. Some bodies were frozen solid, some were shattered, others were cracked and broken. All were dead. My next memory is of wiping the sweat from my brow after having buried the remains in the dark soil of a nearby hillock. I wasn’t crying because I had no tears left to shed.
