Quick Background: Kurat was a young and brash but not very skilled warrior, eager to please and would frequently raid human settlements. Being poorly skilled Kurat’s luck was bound to run out and of course it did. In a raid he was slashed and slid down a gulley as his raiding partyw as demolished by the merchant protectors.
Barely clinging to life, Kulat found something inside of himself snap and so did he manifest the first of his powers summoning a construct to save his life. Alone and cut off from his people he did his best to live off of the land. That is until the Chernasardo Rangers discovered him. They tried to bring him down but Kulat summoned his allies from the ether to aid him.
The leader of the Rangers having never encountered a Hobgoblin with such powers before called for a truce and offered food and shelter to the pathetic wretch that Kulat had become. Kulat accepted the offer and promptly passed out. The rangers aided him and accepted him as one of their own, especially as he began to assist them in fighting off incursions form Goblinoids.
The Rangers taught Kulat about cooperation and family. He already knew honor and bravery from his people. Thus, Kulat tried to become the best he could of human and hobgoblin traits. He still has the personality of a Hobgooblin which is what caused him to move on from the Rangers and seek life inside a human city, he hopes his unique talents will aid him on finding acceptance.
Then the rumors and smoke of war started…

I'd like to submit Ilystria Leafheart for consideration. She is a Gathlain Bard with the Luring Piper archetype. I'm not sure if you would consider the Fey to be "monsters", but I hope you at least find her story suitably redemption-y.
Everything should be accounted for in the alias with the exception of finalizing the gear, which I plan to finish up this afternoon.

Rollin', rollin', rollin'...
Redelia - what are your thoughts on a Gargoyle? I know it's a 36 RP - I'd definitely propose that I lose flight (-8), the Monstrous Humanoid distinction (-3), the Strength (-4) and either the DR or the Natural Armor (-6), bringing it to 15.Alternatively, lose the Flight, Natural Armor, and DR, bringing it to 16, and keeping Monstrous Humanoid and Str bonus.
Thoughts?
You're looking at it the right way. Try to keep the flavorful abilities and let go of things that are just mechanical improvements. If you lose flight, for instance, I would let you keep the wings if you wanted, they would just be cosmetic.

This is Ouachitonian, submitting Cnut Bjornsson, Werebear Ranger. A longtime raider and mercenary, he was gravely wounded serving Molthune and nursed back to health by a druid of the Green Faith, only to see the kindly man cut down by members of the Ironfang Legion in the Ramgate Massacre. He has since settled in the woods outside Phaendar, occasionally coming to town to trade firewood or pelts for the few goods he needs. But he still trains, remembering the ruthless hobgoblins who killed his mentor at Ramgate, endeavoring to be ready if he ever meets their like again.
Looks interesting.

Could have sworn I had posted him yesterday.
Movrot was a young warrior in the Skull Crusher tribe of Hobgoblins. It wasn't the biggest tribe, or even the most vicious (the up and coming Iron Fang kept pushing them around). However, they were generally able to keep together through a combination of fighting prowess and knowing when not to fight and run instead.
Over time with defections to Iron fang and attrition from combat, the tribe dwindled. Eventually they were down to a couple score of warriors. In a last ditch attempt to reverse their declining fortunes, the chieftain planned a raid on a human village called Green Briar. It was just a bunch of farmers, so how tough could it be?
Well it could be pretty damn tough if you don't realize that one of the farmers is a retired adventurer who is an experience priest of Erastil.
The war band came into the village expecting to roll over the defenders. A few flame strikes later and a bunch of well placed arrow shots and only Movrot was still alive and he was bleeding out. The old priest, Frederick, was moving through the vanquished war band and found the lone survivor. He decided to stabilize him on a whim instead of just letting him die.
Deciding that it would be a good idea to keep him alive and send him back as an example, he tended his wounds and nursed him back to health. Movrot, noticed the kindness shown to a fallen foe, but still wished to leave. Once healthy, he was actually let go (though many of the villagers wanted him dead as an example instead, with his head on a pike).
Going back to his tribal village, it was empty. Without the leadership and the warriors, the tribe had fallen apart and been absorbed into other bands (but only the women and children, rival warriors were generally not accepted). Movrot had no place to go, so he went back to Green Briar. As he was spied by the locals, they started hurling rocks at him, to drive him off. Frederick made them stop and took him in. He made him into his menial servant and he kept him plenty busy as there is never a shortage of work on a farm.
Frederick taught him the ways of Erastil and the value of an orderly life and farm. The other villagers never came to accept him, but the patience and kindness of his master led Movrot to change his ways and outlook and become a peaceful farmer. Well a mostly peaceful farmer since he would still get waylaid by locals who hated him for his race and background, so he became very proficient with his fists.
Over time Movrot became devoted to his master, and this was quite evident so he became a trusted servant. Movrot was given more independent jobs, and sometimes even sent on errands which took him well away from the farm. He would generally cover himself to obscure his race on these trips (no reason to get in more fights). On a recent trip lasting a fortnight, Movrot came back to find his farm a smoking ruin, and Frederick dead. Finding a survivor of the village in the nearby woods, he found out it was the work of the Ironfang tribe. His idyllic life ruined, and his mentor dead, he vowed to have justice and vengeance for his new people.

When she found & started looting a campsite and was caught by the owner, a dragon passing as a gnome, it seemed like fate. Throwing herself at the surprised dragon Jynnjun declared her eternal loyalty and devotion.
It took some time before he was able to convince her that stealing wasn't good. Once that was settled she enthusiastically set about retrieving stolen items and returning them to their owners. It made a living up until a disaster struck.
The blight came to the village where Jynnjun was staying. Her mentor left to find a cure and bring it back - but he never returned. Jynnjun barely survived the disease, left as soon as she could and hadn't been back. Though she left a message for the dragon saying where she was going. Perhaps one day she'll find him again or he her.

DESCRIPTION
A PFRPG character build.
Traits:Chernasadro hopefull,Savage, resilient
,
Many parents don't plan on having children, but few pick up one by accident. Calem Blackwood, a ranger travelling the underdark with his companions, because one of those few when he picked up a lost egg, of what he assumed to be of a giant spider, to raise as a hunting companion.
He was quite surprised when, back in his cabin in the woods, the egg hatched and instead of the eight eyes of a spider the head of a black skinned baby appeared. After fighting down the 'it's a baby, what do I do now'-panic and freeing the little one from the rests of the egg, his pragmatic side dictated the basic course of action, keep it warm, feed it, ask a girl and a wizard for help. After wrapping the baby drider in a blanket and feeding her some liquefied Allfood he decided to send a message hawk to one of his old adventuring companions, a wizardress , who responded by sending him a few books on childcare and a few excerpts concerning drider a few days later. After buying a goat and finding out that the little drider was a girl, Calem decided that if he was prepared to raise a hunting companion then he was prepared to raise a child.
He wasn't prepared at all, but he somehow still managed to do a good job.
The little girl, he named her Lillie after her lilac coloured eyes, was a rather clingy child, especially fond of clinging to his back. As she was an active child, when not clinging to something or someone, he decided to take her with him when he ventured into the wilds.
Lillie learned lots of things travelling like a backpack and even more when her father started teaching her things. She became a formidable archer, able to find a solid footing on almost any surface, but she had little talent for working with animals.
When the little drider suddenly stopped growing (in size) her father was quite worried, but as she was fine otherwise that worry faded.
When an old acquaintance from the Chernasadro rangers came to visit and to ask him for help against the molthunian forces. But instead of the father, who wanted nothing to do with the war, the daughter decided to put her bow in the service of freedom.
Personality:
Shy around people, can't sit still unless doing something, distrustful, but friendly once she knows someone. Defensive about her size.

Caireann o'Shea |

Ok, lets try to make a good background for Caireann:
Caireann is very young... only 2 seasons ago she came out of her egg, but in that short time she has realized her views are wrong.
She first embraced the most negative aspects of the green faith, and while dedicating her life to protect nature and their creatures, she has done it in the worst way possible.
She thought she could control nature. That she could decide which creatures were "bad" for the environment, and proceeded, with trickery and malice, to get "rid" of them, banishing or killing them. Those wolfs? Gone. That hungry bear? Dead in an "accident". Those maggots eating the tree she liked? Eaten to the last one.
And those pesky humanoids. That plague.
She got rid of them, all right. Children, elder women, everyone. She caused illusions. Fights. Accidents.
Deads.
And for what? Every thing she "improved" went for the worst. Everything she "fixed" caused more problems, worst problems.
So she has realized her way was the wrong way. She is not an "avenger" to decide what or how to fix nature. She is just another creature in a complex relationship with all other creatures, and she needs to learn how to help, and not to harm, everything around her.
Even those big dumb humanoids.
As she is tiny and weak, the infiltration, ranged and surprise aspect of combat has been her choices. Turn her weaknesses into advantages, surprise and secrecy her tools.
Better?

I'm going Lizardwoman Cleric of Gozreh (Growth Sub domain and Animal Domain)
Str 17
Dex 12
Con 9
Int 10
Wis 16
Cha 15
feat: Selective Channel
traits: Blessed touch (+1 per die to heal spells and channel bursts), Blight Burned, Slippery (+1 Stealth and stealth CS) Drawback Foul Brand of Lamashtu
Skills: I'll do this in a bit but I'm going with kn nature, survival perception stealth type skill array (heal ect) as I level. Will get into cha based skills later.
Weapon is likely going to be a spear for reach when going into full melee will drop that for nat attack routine. With growth she can go up to size large on a swift action adding strength con and reach. Ranged weapon for early career is likely a sling.
Animal domain lets her talk to animals, later pays out an animal companion
Growth Domain gives the shiny swift action enlarge and plenty of plant based shinies.
Background: Was raised to be a cleric of Lamashtu but when the Blight rampaged through her village and nearly killed her it was a kindly druid that worshiped Gozreh that saved her life. Not long after the Iron Legion pressed the few dozen warriors still living in her village for battle fodder, this included her brother and a male she was attracted to.
She respects nature, feels called to heal as she was once healed, fights cautiously but hits hard when motivated. Can swim and will be most at home in natural terrains, might later get good at Cha based skills.
I'll try to finish up before the deadline but work.
Edit: Apologies I've been looking for a PBP that interest me and inconsistent in checking as it's been busy at work. Spotted this this morning but still at work. I can definitely post more than once a day.

Oops sorry missed that, caught the no drawbacks bit but sure NG it is.
Background needs some polish but there's a baseline story there. Mentor, lost sibling, awkward homecoming, and grudges against Iron legion and Lamishtu.

Kwiazi, Jarvak Ogre-Ears, Morgryn Coldforge, Jynnjun, Charzak 'Twice Burned', and Xaroo the Arrow Shooter, please visit the discussion thread. You may also dot in to gameplay so this will show up in your list of campaigns.
Lillie Blackwood, Korvak Sunsoul, Arcavic Vytharia, Irraadraank 'Ira' Dhernanil, and Cnut Bjornsson, please report to the high power campaign as soon as I can get it set up. I will link here in a few minutes after everything is ready.
Yewlick Softstep, you're in, but we need to talk about which campaign fits better. You're right between the power levels of the two campaigns. The party size of either would allow you, because it would be ok for the low power table to be a little large.
In the respective discussion campaigns we will talk a bit about adjusting power level of characters so everyone can have fun, as well as tweaking backgrounds slightly.
To all those not selected, I'm sorry that I didn't have room for all of you. Thank you for letting me see all of your interesting ideas, and best of luck to you in future recruitments.
