Hey, guys,

I have a bit of a problem. I'm feeling really burnt out on this game. You guys are doing everything that you should, and I should be enjoying this game, but I'm not. I've consulted with one or two people who have completed APs on these boards, and their advice has been to take a long break. What I'm going to suggest is that we finish the current book (probably a week or two), and then I mark this campaign inactive. I will also put a reminder on my calendar to mark it as active again on October 1. When I mark it active again on October 1, we will take care of levelling up and making sure everyone wants to continue. The idea is to be back in the game in mid October. I realize there is some risk of the game not starting back up, but I think that's a better risk to take than the risk of this game becoming a chore and just tapering off.

Does this sound OK to everyone?

Speaking from dear personal experience, don't kill your love for a thing by 'burning out'.

I'm sure that will be enough time; I plan on GMing and playing lots of Pathfinder and Starfinder during that time, just different stuff. I actually have made the break just a little longer than I need so that it works out nicely with the schedule for Gameday.

Same here. Burnout is completely understandable, and we all need a break from even fun activities every now and then.

I'll leave the game active for a few days, so that you can react and roleplay a bit if you want. I will then mark this campaign as inactive, and as I said, I will make it active again right around October 1, with a plan to actually be playing again on October 13.

Yes, we will be starting right around the 13th. And please do level up to 8, if you are happy with your character. We may be rejoined by Kwiazy, also.

Hadn't started it yet. Wanted to make sure my table of Assault on Absalom was running smoothly first. I should be able to get to it tonight.

Alaka, if you like Harik and want him to sometimes be able to go with you, go ahead and rebuild him as fighter rather than warrior, 2 levels lower than you, WBL as appropriate for his level. Try to keep the same flavor and same basic weapon types he already has.

I am okay with him moving on with his own life if he wants to. I just wanted to encourage him to be good. :) I'll try to work up something if I have time though, because it would be cool to have him around.

I'll level Alaka up soon, in time for us to start on the 13th. Hopefully this weekend. I might not get to Harik that fast though (moving to take a new job soon, and lots to do before that).

He would then perhaps occasionally recur in meetings and things. I think it's only reasonable that with his inside knowledge of the Legion, he would be one of the NPCs on your 'leadership council.'

okay last time I leveled up I made some major errors-one of them was not advancing Zarvak (her species advancement is level 7, I thought it was level 8). anyways, now her Strength stat is better then her Dexterity, but now she's stuck with Weapon Finesse...right?

EDIT: never mind I forgot that ranger's treat their animal companions as a druid companion - 4 level (so statistically she's a level 4 raptor, my bad)

It's level-3, so she should be level 5.

+added +2 to underground favored terrain (to +4) and added forest terrain to 2nd favored terrain
+added +1 to Charisma
+added a magic quality to my chain shirt armor, and obtained a ring of force and a belt of incredible dexterity +2
+Zarvak has Light Armor Proficiency, and I bought her a +1 leather armor. she has the same bonuses to favored terrain that I do

That seems most reasonable. With Xakroo and Petrahk as well we have enough members in the party IMO.

I'm not sure what you've done with your HP Xakroo, but it's not actually possible for you to have that few at this level with the rules used in Redelia's game:

Max HP at first level.
Take the higher of roll or average rounded up each level (6 for you).
Add Con mod each level.
If you're adding the favored class bonus to HP there could be more of course.

You have at least 10 + 42 + 8 = 60 HP but could easily have more.

I've done all that, I have no idea how my HP is that low. I think my math is messed up, may need some help with that.

What HP rolls of 7+ do you have, and are you adding your favored class bonus to HP?

HP rolls are 5 (2nd and 5th), 3 (3rd and 4th), 9 (6th), and 4 (7th and 8th)

Right, if you use it all for HP rather than skill points or anything else. The roll of 9 adds 3 to to the minimum, and if the FCB is adding 8 that means you have 71 HP now.

I was just looking at your HP and thinking "Hah! That's barely more than me!" before I thought "Wait, is that even possible?"

If instead they are using it for skills or alternate FCB, it wouldn't be that additional 8, or 63, right?

Yeah, that's right Petrahk.

Similarly your minimum HP are 6 + (4x4) + (2x7) + 7 + 7 (toughness) = 50 at level 7. If you ever rolled 5-6 on HP for a sorcerer level, 8+ on HP for a dragon disciple level, or if any of your FCB went to HP you'd have more.

Also the bonus to your fort save from kobold confidence seems to be missing - it should be 3 points higher.

Are any of you guys interested in PFS credit? This AP was sanctioned during our break, and the way they're sanctioning APs recently I can issue old chronicles when I issue the first one after the sanctioning. I can issue them to some but not all of you if some are not interested. I also will have to look and see when you joined to see which chronicles you get.
