Agreed, GM.
Good to be back!
Hopefully, the hoarded potions will vome b on clutch once more.

So the map I posted yesterday did not save correctly to my RPtools, so we are going to have just refer back the previous map each round. I won't be doing map updates for this battle (unless I can figure out what's happening to my maps.) I probably should watch another tutorial on RPtools site but time's been limited.

Me too. Kept logging me out, which made a single hyperlink click into a 30sec multi click ordeal.
Annoying, but it seems team IT Gnome has fixed the dam goblin tinkering.

I looked a the Kickstarter. Interesting I added it to my watchlist. The Kickstarter closes in 3 days. I'm considering the $95 level (that looks like the base level for everything we would need). It would be nice to have actual maps that weren't cut and pasted.

Merry Christmas for those who celebrate, and a warm and happy winter's Monday for those who don't!

on google drive?
If you make it a "drawing" you just open your drawing page, then upload the picture to the drawing. There is a little button on the bar at the top. you can drag it around to resize it.
When you are done you do the share. Click on the "Get shareable link" the key is you have to click on the little drop down menu that will let you make it "Visible to anyone with the link" or "public on the web"
That will let you put the link in a post like you always do.
That is how I do it.
If that is not what you are talking about...SORRY!

Yeah, I can bring him back, assuming 5d8+13 brings him to greater than -Con.
If the "bits and pieces" comment was just flavor, rather than actual mechanics, it might be better to resurrect him afterwards, I don't wanna hear Desmond whine about missing pieces until I can cast Regeneration (once I can prepare spells again)

We need to limit their actions, whether through engaging in melee, slowing or holding them, or walling them in. If I'm gonna bring Des back this turn, that can't be me, but I have no idea just how hard the orc will hit. I expect pretty darn hard, tbh.

I'm debating waiting until the antipaladin comes to us. Not sure I trust him not to have a put or something
Whatta ya think? Should I try to hold him?
He packs a wallop, but I don't want to overwhelm the party being a member down. To get Desmond up that is going to take Karnog's action and probably Nym or Felic to get the thief to Karnog. Although I am cruel, I don't need to be overly sadistic about it.

Apologies all, life has been very hectic and I haven't been particularly active on the boards.
So I'm definitely not dead, but how much damage I took depends on the sequence of actions. In particular, when did my attack go off?
The original AoO will hit Desmond regardless, doing 12 damage (plus potential bleed).
As for the rest of his attack that he was holding, do they go off before or after Desmond gets to attack?
If they go off before, then Desmond will be hit by 3 attacks for 73 damage, and rended for another 16, for a total of 89 damage (plus potential bleed).
If they go off after, then the Kyton has -6 against Desmond and his AC is boosted by 7, which means all of the attacks miss (assuming a 39 hits).
At the top of round 2, Desmond has his buffs and debuffs up regardless of the order of attacks the previous round, meaning only the nat 20 will hit (but not confirm) for another 21 damage (plus potential bleed). Although the 2 strength damage may effect how much damage he did.
So worst case scenario, 122 damage (plus potential bleed). Which drops Desmond but does not kill him. Although the bleed might in a turn or two.
Best case scenario, he takes 33 damage (plus potential bleed).
Let's get the fort saves out of the way:
Fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
So only the first bleed connects, giving Desmond 2 bleed damage.

Life happens, it's understandable. I definitely wanted you to see and respond to the actions, so no worries. Like I said I bet that was a shock when you logged on.
The actions that the Kyton were holding go off before Desmond attacks. It's the worst case scenario of Desmond.
AOO: 12
RD 1: 89
RD 2: 21
Bleed: 2
Nym got to you and pulled you back, then Karnog breathed life back in you so you (35 HP) are alive and taking no additional bleed damage.
Desmond your strength damage would have been healed by Keeper and the feast that you ate at her tower.

Now as I understand it you can hold a standard action to interrupt combat (allowing you a single attack), or you can delay your whole turn but that doesn't allow you to interrupt initiative, only change the turn order? Not trying to argue my way out of damage just confused by the rules.
Karnog shouldn't have to use a breath of life if he doesn't need to, Desmond would be at -6 with 2 bleed damage, so in a awful situation but not dead.

I've always permitted the interruption. we never drop to the bottom of the initiative order as that would be too complex for on-line gaming.
It's rule #10 under the campaign tab.
10. I do not use delay/ready actions to switch/swap initiative orders, as that becomes problematic for me, the DM, to track on the boards. I do permit you to hold your action especially if you are waiting some tactical action.

It's fine, it's the "get the pc up from dead" button, and Karnog would use it unreservedly in this situation since Desmond got so sliced up.
It's also the highest single healing spell other than heal I've got prepared today.

Strength unless it has weapon finesse, in which case it can use Dexterity if it's better.
