I was thinking the same thing. I plan on picking up a blank spellbook and transcribing the Book of Torag into orcish so they will have a decent religious grounding.

I have added a +2 bonus to my Elven Chainmail (4000GP) and the Flaming property to my Bastard Sword (2000GP).
I believe flaming property cost more than 2000.
+1 bastard 2000 (plus msw and weapon cost)
Keen ability cost 6000 (effectively adding the next +1 enhancement)
Adding the Flaming costs 10000 (taking it from a +2 to +3 weapon basically)
So your total cost in the weapon should be
35 (weapon) + 300 (MSW) + 2000 (+1 enhancement) + 6000 (Keen ability) +10000 (Flaming)= 18,335

Once per day, as part of the action of drawing forth the weapon held by the scabbard, the wearer can order it to endow the weapon with an enhancement bonus on attack and damage rolls. The duration of the effect depends on the desired enhancement bonus for the weapon.

I heard from Vatilda, school work bogged the player down, I'll run the game with 7 players. You all know, I keep the game moving at a good clip, so I really don't see this as an issue.
Your call. My only thought is it is not hard to come on and say "I'm slammed folks I can't play for x days." I think we have to be courteous to each other in this.
