I thought it was under arcana: Identify a spell effect that is in place Arcana 20 + spell level - Not that I would have succeeded. Also, knowledge skills say: Action: Usually none. In most cases, a Knowledge check doesn't take an action (but see “Untrained,” below). Is that std action a house rule?

It is not a spell effect though. You will always get some information on a simple knowledge check, but concentrating to get specifics does take some time. I am flexible about it though.
This is supposed to be a clearing of 60' with a tree in the middle. The rest of the area is heavily wooded and brush. I would not, however, consider it difficult terrain as it more hinders sight rather than movement.

A harpy's song has the power to infect the minds of those that hear it, calling them to the harpy's side.
