Yes, of course! Heroic, not crazy.

rando1000 |

Rando,
I'm unclear. Let me know when I can attack.
You threw the grenade at the start of round 5, when the troops rounded the corner (triggered held action). So you're now top of round, which means you'll be able to attack at the top of round 6.

Though, I would point out, actually piloting a ship remotely seems quite difficult, and when I decided to let Esh try it, I took into account that he can do magic things with computers.Remote Hack (Ex) - 5th Level
You can use your custom rig to attempt Computers and Engineering skill checks at a range of 20 feet...Sounds good to me!
Thematically, if it doesn't take the spotlight from another character, I'd suggest a choice of Gadgeteer or Hacker from the Operative Specializations.
Up to you, how much the Mechanic would get. Maybe one of the skill focuses, and something...
There Exploits... Utility Belt & Elusive Hacker seem appropriate.I'm thinking Gadgeteer. Less direct competition with Esh.
@Rando - hey boss, were you OK with this treatment? I may have missed your thumbs up!

James "Joyride" Maxwell |

Sure, was considering Amplified Glitch to make the weapon sounds like it's going to auto destruct... Energizing sounds getting louder, red lights flashing and some pulse sounds getting faster.
I think or issue here might not be capability, but action economy. There is too much stuff going on and the creature is going to kill one of us every round starting next round.
It's the biggest threat. We could go down the hole, but that might be suicide, natural hazards, falling damage or another creature.
Hellz, Glitterdust would help at least see it, beyond glimpses.
I'm ready for the TPK.

SerpentViolet |

I haven't seen a post from Thalin in 9 days. Am I supposed to be botting him and forgot somehow?
I believe so, yes.

Thalin Shieldbearer |

No, you aren't supposed to be botting me. I really just missed the one round entirely. No special excuses or reasoning, I just missed it.
As near as I can tell we are in the next round right now.
Trying to figure out which fight I'm supposed to be part of. I THINK I'm supposed to be part of the Azlanti fight. I'm really not sure.

rando1000 |

Both fights are in the same area. You're in the room, and defeated one Azlanti, when the creature came out of the floor and is currently ripping Sharlavaka a new one. Meanwhile, at the doors entering the hallway that leads into the same room, there are Azlanti troops shooting in and cutting their way in. So take your pick.

SerpentViolet |

Isis shoots the Perihelion laser, hoping to blow it up: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19 for 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 electricity. What is it, AC 5?
Can you sneak attack a laser?

Eshenvral Kothiavus |

Wrong thread, mate.

Sharlavaka |

Well, I've got another hit before it really gets up in my cloaca. But yeah, with three rolls that needs to succeed to hit it, I'm screwed. I'm just not lucky enough to hit that. If anyone has explosives, start lobbing them in front of me and I'll use the healing serum after.

James "Joyride" Maxwell |

I guess Amplified Glitch is an Intimidate effect and I wasted that 19... Dang, dang, dang!

Sharlavaka |

Sorry, I completely missed that I was up.
...but I think Rando should make all my rolls now, since he can actually bloody hit things.

James "Joyride" Maxwell |

Joyride,
would Isis throwing another grenade in mess up your gambit?
Nope, but a grenade might help with the creature, since we're missing.

James "Joyride" Maxwell |

Yessir, but the creature jumped back down the burrow hole/tunnel.

James "Joyride" Maxwell |

A drone gets a Move or Standard action (not both), unless the Mechanic is directly controlling them (remote control). At 7th level, Six-Pack can act independently (move and standard or full). Let's hope the creature is deterred for a bit.
Also, the Azlanti are shaken or a round or two.

SerpentViolet |

I'm not clear as to what doors on the map are sealed. What's the current sitch with Isis vs. Aslanti? Any foes she can attack?

James "Joyride" Maxwell |

The doors to section 19, splitting their forces.

Uret Jet |

Rando, can you keep a link to the Exsilum somewhere handy, maybe in our header? It's hard to search for it via the thread alone when needed.

Your own quote:
If I can combine actions, I'd like to flee to room 16, assuming the baddies aren't in a position to notice.
You specifically withdrew from the area where all opponents were, so no, there are no foes for you to attack.

Can anyone confirm that THIS is the latest version? It was uploaded May 29th.

James "Joyride" Maxwell |

Were the old robots useful? I think I just like the idea of vintage.
Danger, Will Robinson... Danger!
With Otis around, I can try the pilot seat, if that's OK.
I mean it's in the name... Joyride. But, until now... only in simulations and video games.
@Rando
Would you mind if I swap Themes... (from Icon to Tinker - hadn't seen it) it would have had no effect in the last adventure and no effect on bonuses from Attributes. Int:18 Cha:11 become Int:19 Cha:10.
Seems to fit the character concept better, and we already have an Icon, also Video Game/Hacker Icon seemed cool.. but, is kinda useless.

James "Joyride" Maxwell |

I have no problem letting you switch themes. If you'd like to take up the chair, I can keep Otis and Irina around; they're kind of a set.
Danke!

James "Joyride" Maxwell |

The NIL Grenade Launcher holds 6 grenades... (Six-Pack)
Question: Would a weapon mount (2 clips/magazines) be able to hold 12 grenades or 2 grenades (I don't mind if it's 2), probably should be 2 due to bulk.
Let's call it 2!

Uret Jet |

Is there much salvageable from the Azlanti? Esh will run a full spectrum of detection to find out.

rando1000 |

I had intended to include Azlanti gear in the 5000, but looking at the values, I low-balled it. Add the following (there may be more of this among the treasure, but it's part of the 5000 already):
Azlanti strikeforce armor x 2:
Sale value: 250 cr, EAC +6, KAC +8, Max Dex +2, Penalty -2, Spd -5, upgrade 1 (used on filtered rebreather)
Azlanti Assault Rifles x 2:
Sale Value 1000, 2d8P, 40 ft, 24 rounds automatic
Motion Detector Badge x 5:
Sell value: 130 cr
his hexagon-shaped adornment can be activated or deactivated as a move action. A motiondetection badge has 4 charges, which refresh daily, and an hour of activation uses 1 charge. While active, as long as you haven’t moved for at least 1 round, the badge emits a quick flash of red light whenever a Small or larger corporeal creature approaches within 60 feet, although creatures undetectable to normal vision (such as an invisible creature) don’t trigger the flash. This flash is sufficient to alert you, but doesn’t otherwise affect your vision or your actions.
Azlanti curved blade x 6:
Sell value: 500 cr 1d10 + 1d6 bleed
PLUS
The heavy laser cannon, which does 4d6 penetrating damage (+1d6 burn on critical). It's heavily damaged and cannot be fully repaired, but a partially repaired version would still be worth 2000.

I'm not sure I understand the question.
As far as the robots, you can probably get about 500 cr for the lot plus some spare parts. Alternately, you might be able to get one of them into glitchy working condition for use in general labor.

I guess it's an edge case.
I had outfitted Six-Pack with 2 weapon mounts, and heavy weapon proficiency. I will remove his pistol and refit him with a NIL grenade launcher.Under the entry for weapon mount, it started that it includes capacity to hold 2 clips or magazines or whatever passes for ammo (with a bulk limit). Presumption is that it fully loads the weapon. Auto reloads.
Fully loading the grenade launcher would take 6 grenades x2 means 12 grenades. But I think that's too bulky and would mean he's armed with 18 grenades. Seems a bit much.
So I'm thinking there would be space for 2 individual grenades (spare) along with the 6 inside the launcher.

James "Joyride" Maxwell |

Thanks for fleshing out the robots. No need, James just needs raw material and can pretty much build anything we need, rather quickly.
First up though is rebuilding Six-Pack (locked in a workshop).

rando1000 |

Okay, I agree that 18 grenades is a bit much on a drone. 8 seems more reasonable. Not sure what RAW would say to that, but I'm okay with it if you are. If someone else wants to pipe up on RAW, I'll hear it, but my take is this works.

Eshenvral Kothiavus |

Notable changes this level:
Feat: Skill Synergy (Culture, Perception)
New Spells: Arcing Surge (3rd), Flight (3rd), See Invisibility (2nd, Replaces Flight), Comprehend Languages (1st)
Although, I'm debating picking up Dispel Magic instead of Arcing Surge, now that I have a decent sidearm.

Thalin Shieldbearer |

Trick Attack went to 4 dice.
Edge went to 3.
Can now ALWAYS take 10 with Skill Focus skills - regardless of distractions or stress.
Don't give flatfooted, flanked, nor prone advantages to opponents targeting me.
Feat: Versatile Focus
Looks like we each clear 2K? I'll sit on it, for now.

Sharlavaka |

Shalavaka is ready and better at killing.
Rando, how much cash am I going to have to pour into the damaged laser I looted to get it working again, please? And will I have time to repair it for the next mission?

rando1000 |

I had just assumed you'd gift it to Gardathir for some extra cash; the weapon as I played it was a mount weapon. It would be cumbersome to wield in hand. If you really want to repair it, you can get your more skilled crew fix it with a couple checks, no additional cost needed.
