Argh, 3rd laptop to die on me this year!
*rages*
Apparently the motherboard has filed a restraining order against the hard drive's partition table
*sighs*
Should be able to borrow one tomo :s

Between being sick and maybe joining too many gameday pbps, I don't have the time/energy to do our interesting stuff here at the moment. So we're going to take the rest of the week off and I'll resume on Tuesday of next week.
Thanks for your understanding and I'm looking forward to plotting.

No problem, Pirate GM! Take care of your health. see you next week!²

Just to say I am currently in Auckland on a training course and the WiFi in the hotel is rather less than stellar :/
Should be able to continue posting via phone but please forgive brevity!

Hi all :)
I'm at a conference in Auckland this week so posting may be slower than usual, I will do my best!
Back in business at the weekend though :)

So, there's been an inconsistency in the rules here. The grappled condition says make a concentration check to cast while grappled. And the magic section say only cast spells with no somatic who's material components are at hand.
Here is a post from Bulhmahn, saying you can cast somatic while grappled and a post further down where he clarifies further that the grappled condition is right and the magic chapter is wrong.
This also finally got resolved in the most recent errata, after being a problem for years.
The PRD, or the Core Rulebook Errata, or the 6th and most recent printing or the CRB, the section you are quoting has been changed to
"Grappled or Pinned: Casting a spell while you have the grappled or pinned condition is difficult and requires a concentration check (DC 10 + the grappler’s CMB + the level of the spell you’re casting). Pinned creatures can only cast spells that do not have somatic components."
Apparently d20pfsrd think's there some slight issue with the errata but I don't quite follow their sidebar.

Has anybody seen or heard from Sabi/TomG recently?
Nope. You already sent a pm to him?

![]() |

IMO, find a replacement then When TomG appears, we put Sabi in again.

Well I've been enjoying the game and the crew, and think it would be a shame to abandon it half way through, so I'm happy to continue if everyone else is. Can we try a re-recruitment?

![]() |

I'd prefer to find a way to keep going, if at all possible.

Pirate GM |

Hey guys, I'm not finding myself with the energy right now to go through a recruitment, even a mini one to get another player.
Rather than drag something out I've lost my drive for I think I'm ready to call it here and release your PFS characters into the wild.
After a little over a year we managed to complete 8 levels, (half the spire)
There were some close calls but nobody went to meet Pharasma and you probably learned more about Fort Inevitable and its inhabitants than any other PFS game of the Emerald Spire.
I'll look fondly to you guys for my next crazy project.
Stay safe out there and good luck!
Thank you all for playing <3

Ah fair enough Pirate GM, kudos to you for calling it rather than letting it dwindle in to nothing during play.
I'd like to say thank you to you for running those 8 levels, I had a lot of fun and it was entertaining and enjoyable :)
To the other PCs, thank you too, I've enjoyed playing with all of you and wish you all the best in future games.
Take care and see you on the boards sometime :)

Thanks for running Pirate Rob. I had a great time. Hope to catch ya'll round the boards sometime.

It is sad that it is ended, but was a such huge pleasure to play with all of you. I really hope to play with you again, next time, in other opportunities.
Good vibes to you all. :)
