Brunar Battlemender |
sorry all, in a busy spell, I will post either today or sometime this weekend.
Brunar Battlemender |
What happened?
Brunar asks Sandy and out of respect asks Gwen want she wants to drink. He retrieves that and any food they wanted. He gives Sandy her food and drink first, then Gwen's. He then sits closer to Sandy with his food and drink and flirts with Sandy, "Now where were we before being interrupted by our adventure?" While taking turns to see what is going on with the elves.
Sandy, Gwendolyn and the rescued dwarves move into the center of the elf camp, sitting close to the fire they are offered drinks and treats, such as dried fruits, cheese, salted meats and soft, but a little old tasting breads.
What, did Brunar just got cold shouldered?!

Here’s where I got distracted – I tried to edit an old alias that was not used more than a couple of times to create the character that Flint is about to duel, but the Paizo website kept kicking me out of that alias edit function making me angry. I then resolved myself to typing up a post to get that duel thing going and completely overlooked responding to Brunar’s post
I am sorry – let me fix that.

Sorry for my delay, IT work has me a little busy but since it is quiet today, I am catching up.
Kayne Aetherax |
Hey all, posting this in all my games to let people know I'll be away for a few days. My family is headed to camp later today, and I won't have Internet or my computer while I'm there. I should be back and posting Friday afternoon/evening (Eastern Time), but please push the game as needed, botting my character if you need to do so. Thanks!
Brunar Battlemender |
Sorry, I was out of pocket for a bit myself. Went camping with my daughter and some friends. Ready to pick back up if you all are?
Generic Dungeon Master |
You have additional resources now, as far as buying equipment is concerned (the elves may have unusual wares for sale , if there is something you are looking to add to your inventory just ask in this thread about it and I'll determine if the elves are carrying that item with them)
Flint and Kayne have opportunities to advance to level 3, through interactions either with the elves or in the Hovel - for Brunar and Kiril to advance they still need to return to Cipenny
I hope the lull in the adventure doesn't upset anyone too much.
Flint of Iron |
I'm still not quite sure how this training for our class feature stuff works. Are you wanting to have it happen over a long-rest here, or roleplay through whatever training it is that happens? I'm ready for either, I'm just not sure what's expected.
Generic Dungeon Master |
I was reviewing the rules for leveling up in the dmg and I do not like them.
I thought, anyway my idea was, that to gain the special third level abilities for each class you would have some interaction with an NPC who is already on that "path" to teach you something about taking on that sort of life, or way, or interact with an object (such as in the case of Kayne) which opens up the other worldly abilities of certain casters.
For Kayne, he found a special book a long time ago (in posts anyway) and the two clerics in the party should return to their temples to be "ordained" in the new mysteries
Flint is not likely (in my opinion just based on the campaign setting over view) to accept help from an Elven Bard, but that is entirely up to you or there is the Kobold legendary bard in the Hovel who can introduce him to something new
Kiril will probably spend the night wrestling with Kyrstid, I'm not sure he will learn anything useful in combat, but she is a dwarf, so you never know ;}
Brunar Battlemender |
How about this for Brunar and Kiril ...
Kiril and Brunar can train each other in fighting since Brunar is a fighting Cleric, so that is part 1 of his training. Part 2 can come from praying/meditation.

Makes sense to me, and I dig the writeup of Kayne discovering his Book of Shadows. (Also, said Tome contains the chill touch, fire bolt, and thaumaturgy cantrips.)
Flint of Iron |
Yeah, flint rather likes... Marvin? Martin? Training with him for additional tricks could be fun.
However, flint used to be a fighter, and valor bards are basically just fightery bards. I get some of my armor and weapon proficiencies back that he once had before.
Story wise, I could see him just *choosing* to wear his old armor again (getting it back from the kobolds he traded it to before?) And learning my Valor bard abilities from the kobold legend
Brunar Battlemender |
I don't mind, any chance for 80 more xps as we are fast forwarded there? I am only 80 away from 3rd level.
Generic Dungeon Master |
Yes - Brunar can have 80 xp, let's try to get the party all at the same level (except the NPCs)
Leaving this morning for Boise to pick up my wife and daughter who are returning from Cambodia - Our daughter has finished her Fulbright Scholarship and will be home for three weeks (we haven't seen her for a year) so the next little while might be a bit slower than the regular slowness
Brunar Battlemender |
Thank you and take your time Mr. DM, real life family is always more important.
Brunar Battlemender |
Yeah, no worries! I won't start any fights while you gone.
ALL LIES! ... lol

GDM returns to catch Flint standing on the table, one booted foot resting on its tips as the other pushes back off against Kiril's chest, whose got the halfling in a choke hold. He gnaws at the hand holding him, while swinging a bunch at Brunar near by. Broken chairs litter the floor, and Kayne has been knocked unconscious from said chairs. Algeheri watches intently from afar.
Kayne Aetherax |
Algeheri watches intently from afar.
For your own good, too. Kayne sold his own soul for greater magical power--just imagine what that poor mule has already been subjected to...

I have this sort of long game post that brings the party back to Cipenny, but part of it sent me off in a direction that was something I’ve been meaning to tackle, but putting off. It is something that is not too terribly important to our game, but sort of important to me (to keep things straight about how this world works) and that thing is the relationship between the three dwarven goddesses we’ve identified, Wyuddellwyn and her daughters, Mevbolla and yerina
I wanted to get this clarified for Brunar and Sandy to be able to interact with each other in a meaningful way
I came up with this
Wyuddenllwyn Copper Eyes (Berronar) – Motherhood/Marriage
– The Goddess of Motherhood and Marriage, the Keeper of the Home
– Patience, Faithfulness, Suffering, Fertility, and Hope
– She is not associated with any form of Dance
Mevbolla Golden Hand (Sharindlar) – Independence/Mysteries
– She is the Goddess of young people seeking adventure, women who have not passed through Wallundoff typically pray to her for protection
– She is the twin sister of Yerina)
– She is often associated with Natural Beauty
– Impetuousness, Lust, Renewal (resurrection/rebirth), Retribution, and Revelry
– She is associated with Participation Dance
Yerina Silver Hand
– She is the Goddess of mature people looking to settle down in life and begin raising a family, women who have passed through Wallundoff often pray to her for guidance
– She is the twin sister of Mevbolla
– She is often associated with Artistic Beauty
– Planning, Romantic Love, Healing (growth/restoration), Mercy, and Courtship
– She is associated with Performance Dance
Basically you have a “mother” goddess who is looked at in terms of being in charge of an established household, she has two daughters, one who is the patron of young people before they enter into marriage, and the other who represents the beginnings of the marriage relationship – a priest or priestess of one of the daughters usually chooses to remain a cleric of that deity (upon reaching third level) or take the path that makes them a cleric of the mother goddess – each choice carries certain connotations, a cleric of Mevbolla will not marry but may have children, while a cleric of Yerina will seek a spouse, but will not start a family until they have finished some other “important work” in their life (such as those clerics that run the orphanages in this kingdom and dedicate themselves to protecting others which they see as difficult to do if your responsibilities to your children are challenged).
I hope this makes sense.

Sorry for the long delay I hope we can get moving again
I want to make a long post that can get many things resolved in town and get us moving back to the dungeon, when everyone is ready. I've updated some of my games tonight, but I've run out of steam. I'll be at this first thing tomorrow
Thank you for your patience
Brunar Battlemender |
No problem, I need to update Brunar.
Flint of Iron |
I'm mid-move. I wont be albe to get a post in for a while. No reliable internet.
I'm just planning on doing mostly fluff rp stuff. Gm, if you want to move past, i wouldn't mind a retcon conclusion to this inn stuff, of relevant
JDPhipps |
Hey there, this is a friend of Loup Blanc. He sent me a text to let you know his computer is currently busted, and he's not sure when (or if) he'll be able to get it fixed. He's looking for other means of posting, but if those don't pan out he'll likely be MIA for a while until he can find a way to get online and post.
Loup Blanc |
And I'm back! It was probably a false flag--my laptop crashed, and I was concerned due to the nature of it that the screen had broken. I've had bad luck with computers in the past, so I wanted people to be aware if it was a worst case scenario. For right now, I'm okay, but if I go dark you know why.
Brunar Battlemender |
Welcome back Loup, yeah computers use to kick my arse too. And sometimes, they still do in some fashion.
Brunar Battlemender |
I apologize for my absence, I will catch up this weekend.
GM Good Sir, in addition, a correction, Sandy is a Priestess of Mevbol(la) and Brunar is a Priest of Yerina, you have us inverted. Not sure if that matters or not?
