Senja steps up and fires at the Ghoul, who is now within 30 feet.[ooc] (yay point blank shot bonus!)[ooc]

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

"Focus on the staggering one. He is our primary danger, friends."

If that skeleton is destroyed, and no longer on the map, I should be able to charge and hit the Ghoul. That said, since the skeleton is still on the map, I'll just move + attack the ghoul, and the GM can add the +2 to hit and the -2 to AC if I can indeed charge.

Evan draws on his experience of many battles, and yells a perfectly eloquent war cry, perfectly expressing his feelings "ARGGH"

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

There were two skeletons…one is dead and the other is undead. However…

Senja's deft shot stops the ghoul in its tracks, prompting Evan to switch targets and allowing him to pummel the remaining skeleton. The Bronze Legionaire closes the distance with Evan and clumsily swings his sword at the well protected Dwarf. Veilwar sends an arrow into the Legionaire but does very little damage.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10, 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Kuaizi and Conlaoch to close out this round, then Amelia, Senja and Even to begin the next.

Round 2

"Caw! Foul creatures of undeath. What more shall we find in this place?" Kuaizi flips past the remaining skeleton faster than it can react, landing in a flanking position with Evan. He takes another swing with his staff, smacking the mockery of death right in the ribs with a hard thrust.

Avoid AoO:
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20

Smack skellie in the chest:
Attack (bo staff): 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 2 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

I think it was a hit, at least.

I think the Craw may have finished it off, but in case he didn't...

Conlaoch steps up, and tries to shatter the last of the walking dead.

Attack: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

The remaining undead falls to the collective battering of the Pathfinders, both ape and non-ape alike.

Making a thorough search of the room you discover another corpse; a Mwangi warrior, his body preserved in hot mud, stands against the wall of the exhibit hall. In his hands he clutches a bone-handled kukri with a jade carved blade. (Treat as as Masterwork Kurki.)

The ghoul wears a scarab that acts as a feather token (bird), meant to deliver his last will and testament to his ancestors. One of the skeletons carries a masterwork greatclub, the other an masterwork alchemical silver scimitar.

While examining and dividing up the spoils of your victory, you hear hoarse screams for help coming from the next room. (Area 3)

"ARGGGGGH" Evan screeches, sprinting into the next room towards the screens, his tactical awareness might be lacking, but he still feels honor bound to help those in need.

The Offices

The door to this chamber was once a pane of expensive frosted glass, which now lies in broken shards on the floor. Within, several desks lie overturned, papers in disarray, and chairs smashed to kindling. A sturdy steel cabinet sits against the back wall, its doors much battered and dented. The mist here roils near the floor and ceiling, creating a strange patch of visibility stretching from knee-height to a few feet overhead. The smoky tendrils flow up and down the walls unnaturally and savage visages swirl to life, fanged mouths agape, before dissolving into mist once more.

As you enter the room two ape-men are trying to find a way to tear into a steel filing cabinet...which appears to be the source of the screams for help.

Should the ape-people attack Kuaizi, he tries to block them with his staff twirling, and makes a swift standing kick upside one of their heads in between twirls.

He leaps in swiftly, and wraps his lithe body around the creature, holding it down. He tries to warn the others, struggling to speak the last few words as he exerts effort wrestling one of the creatures.

"Caw! Don't kill them! They were probably once people, like Evan-san and Amelia-chan! They... just... need... healing."

Senja tries to dazzle the ape-men with magic; unfortunately they easily resist it. What they can't resist is the business end of Evan's hammer which dents one of the simian's shoulders just as Kuaizi grapples him with assistance from Ameilia.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the room, Conlaoch has trouble connecting with his greatclub yet Veilwar easly gashes the ape's flank. The ape slams back at Veilwar, throttling him a bit.

"Hello?!" Kuaizi responds to the voice coming from within the cabinet. "Yes, honorable sir, it seems safe now. Kuaizi Wu, at your service." He takes a formal bow to the person after emerging. "Might you be the curator of this... ahem, once fine establishment, Nigel Aldain-san?"

To Amelia, "Yes Amelia-chan, I am sure you will be fine again."

"Hmmm. Yes, Veil-san. Now that this apeman is out for a while," pointing to the unconscious apeman. The monk then from behind the tied apeman wraps his arm around his neck, "Do not worry, poor person. I will only knock you out." He then proceeds to apply pressure in just the right way, causing the apeman to slowly fall into unconsciousness.

Kuaizi deals non-lethal damage to the tied up apeman until he falls unconscious.

The quivering man emerges from the filing cabinet and introduces himself as Saldak. He names his two coworkers currently lying on the floor as Yannis and Kadarnik. Saldak is a scribe, his jowls quaver and shake with terror as he recounts his tale.

"The offices suddenly flooded with a strange mist early this morning, and that tendrils of it seemed to pour down Kadarnik’s and Yannis’ throats moments before they went stark mad!" Nigel was examining some artifacts in another area of the museum and Saldak is certain that these Tik Taan idols are responsible for the museum’s current predicament. “I smelled something wrong with those hideous monkey-faced things as soon as Lugizar brought them out of his pack. I’ve a nose for trouble, I do! No one listens!”

Saldak rummages through one of the desks and produces some scraps of Mwangi cloth inscribed with strange writing. He interprets the script on the cloth which reveals not only a warning against the idols’ corrupting powers, but also a powerful chant that dispels their influence over men. (Treat as a scroll of break enchantment.)

He looks down at his companions. "Will they be alright?"

"I know little of the powers of enchantment, Saldak-san. But... I have faith that what can be enchanted, can also be unenchanted." Pointing to the one guy who transformed back to human form, "He seems better already."

"Where are the idols now Saldak-san?"

Did the other apeman, now unconscious, revert to human(oid) form too?

Senja, watching the otherse, keeps quiet.

When the strange writing appears, he will cast read magic to determine the nature of the writing (keeping in tune with it).

"I agree with Kuaizi. Where might these idols be kept, good sir? It is best if their enchantments are negated... and then studied."
