42 cuts down the purple samurai, who smiles as if thankful for his death.

He is thankful that his service to an evil lord at least ends with an honourable death.

Rand leaps up to the tengu above the building and kicks and pummels it to a pulp. Unlike the samurai, the creature seems to resent its demise and spits at Rand before the monk caves its skull in. Rand falls 5ft to the roof, landing on his feet. Elevation 20ft, standing on the building, not prone.

Meanwhile, Rhon applies some healing to himself and quickly gulps down his potion of fire resistance, lest he suffer another fiery onslaught. Earl swings at the nearest samurai from beneath the ground, but even with the benefit of his tremorsense, he in unable to land a blow.

42, keep in mind that vampiric touch doesn't acutally heal you, it gives you temporary hit points that last for an hour. Thought I don't think it will make too much of a difference in this fight.

42 moves into a flanking position with Rhon and strikes a powerful blow with his necromancy-charged blade. He feels some of the samurai's vitality flowing into him.

Rand takes to the skies once more and his barrage of attacks knocks another tengu unconscious. This time, however, there is no convenient roof beneath him, and both he and the unconscious tengu begin to fall to the ground below...

In that case the first attack missed. I'd already subtracted your temp hp. You should now be on 18hp by my count, but I might have miscounted somewhere. I'll take it as 22 to keep it simple.

42 charges up his scimitar and takes a swing, striking a deadly blow with his first attack but missing with his second. He feel a surge of necromantic energy empowering his body as his opponent falls. You will not get all the temp hp since your strike is going to deal more than enough to kill him. Word from the online VO is that weapon damage is applied first. All in, you only get 22 temp hp.

Rhon slams one of the samurai from beneath the ground, nearly bringing him to his knees, though the samurai still stands his ground for now.

Rhon cuts down one of the last 2 samurai whilst Rand propels himself through the air, bludgeoning another tengu into unconsciousness before they both plummet to the ground.

Taking out his cure Moderate wand, he hands it off to someone who can easily use it and starts to fell better.
