I just sent out PMs to everyone with a link to my PFS tracker, as I find it's easier to coordinate that way :D
EDIT: I may have screwed up the links. I'm not used to sharing it this way, so I may have screwed something up >_<
Please let me know if it worked.

I got it to work. Copying from the paizo inbox adds an extra space in the URL. It worked after I fixed that. url tags make it easier, plus you can preview to double check it works!
Edit: I'd like thank the GM for the wonderful roleplaying inspiration.
Kiku Caritas |
Ah, okay, Grigorii. Thanks!
I'm a poor English major, so I mess up the techy stuff sometimes :(
GM Hmm |
So regarding scenarios, I don't care which one you choose. I will GM anything for this group. I just want you all to pick one so that we can reserve it for February, whether there is a gameday then or not.
So, discuss amongst yourselves, and pick something!
Juniper Berrythwaite |
Are we set on a Tier 7-11? I have characters at pretty much every tier. Here are the character levels for my characters I would want to play: 3, 5, 7, 8, 9.
Juniper is now level 8.
I have played a few modules. Here are the ones I have available (and their level range):
Masks of the Living God (2-4)
The Midnight Mirror (3-5)
City of Golden Death (4-6)
From Shore to Sea (4-6)
Broken Chains (5-7)
Cult of the Ebon Destroyers (7-9)
No Response from Deepmar (7-9)
Doom Comes to Dustpawn (8-10)
Curse of the Riven Sky (9-11)
I wonder if it might be easiest to set up a google spreadsheet for this group where we can put all of our played scenarios in one place. I'm on vacation right now, but when I get back next week I could set that up (unless someone beats me to it). It might be easier than having to compare a bunch of different sheets.
Kiku Caritas |
Played Masks
Played and ran Midnight Mirror
City of Golden Death is reserved for another group
Played Broken Chains (and I wouldn't recommend it, for ickiness reasons)
Grigorii |
5-20 The Sealed Gate - Nefreet has played. anyone else?
6-04 Beacon Below - Gerald has played already?
7-?? TBA - we'll see (Oct is 5-9, Nov is 1-2, so Dec/Jan might expect a 3-7 and a 7-11)
I wouldn't mind a module if GM Hmm is up for it. Here is what we have for options so far:
From Shore to Sea (4-6)
Cult of the Ebon Destroyers (7-9)
No Response from Deepmar (7-9)
Doom Comes to Dustpawn (8-10)
Curse of the Riven Sky (9-11)

Linda, this was a beautiful module. I had great fun taking the outline you and John provided and filling in my own brushstrokes.
Kiku Caritas |
Hey, I just got back, and it looks like I somehow messed up Kiku's character number. She's actually 99807-19, not 18 :(
I was probably typing that on my phone at school at didn't notice the typo.
Sorry, but could you update that on her character sheet?
GM Hmm |
Oy! I'll have to email the correction to Jesse as well, as I already reported the scenario.
I'll do both tomorrow, Kiku.

Aand, I've played Fires of Karamoss.
Looks like it is the new 7-11 or one of the modules.
Modules
Doom Comes to Dustpawn (8-10)
Curse of the Riven Sky (9-11)

If we played Doom Comes to Dustpawn, I would probably play little Juniper again. :)
Harsk Hammerfist dwarf |
GM Hmm - Harsk is character #8 I missed up the # too.
You don't have to re do the chronicle though. I'll just make the correction.
If you're ever around DC or Baltimore you'll have to come game with our area group.
GM Hmm |
I'm looking at reviews of Doom comes to Dustpawn right now. It actually looks good. Do you think that the whole group could do it? Would you all manage to stay in tier for it?
GM Hmm |
Harsk:
No, I'll redo the chronicle sheets for both of you.
This happens in real life, PFS, too! I seem to be especially prone to wrong number syndrome from reporting players...
Lesson learned: before writing up chronicle sheets, repost the information that I have and ask everyone to double-check it.

When and where do you play? I will be in the area this weekend.
GM Hmm |
Okay, so looked at reviews for Curse of the Riven Sky. There's not many. It's more of a combat module, but it has giants, which in its own way might make a fun sequel to Averaka. It's also located near Averaka in the land of the Linnorm Kings.
Huh.
If we did a trilogy, it could be the final adventure.
I'm going to have to look and see if there is GM prep or PFS GM discussions on either of these.
_________________________________________________
EDITED to ADD:
No shared GM Prep on either. :(
What's more, Curse of the Riven Sky reviews have complaints about missing stat blocks, math errors and monsters with multiple templates added.
Have I mentioned that I hate adding templates to monsters myself? Pathfinder math is NOT my forte. Giants are fun. Being near Averaka is fun. Applying templates? Urk. Not fun. It's a shame, because the thought of a giant-based sequel near Averaka was very tempting to me. This adventure might have to wait until I'm a more experienced PFS GM.
Given that, let's go with Doom comes to Dustspawn as our next choice. It looks like it has more RP opportunities, anyway.

I'll keep the invitation in mind.
At some point, I'll have to pony up the cash for Gen or Paizo Con so I can meet everyone. Nefreet, what do they require of Tier 1 GMs? Can a 1 star newbie qualify?
Does Paizo Con also reimburse hotel rooms for them, or is that just Gen Con?
Nefreet |
Both PaizoCon and GenCon reimburse Tier 1 GMs for hotels. As a starving college student, I'd be unable to go if they didn't!
A 0-Star GM can be Tier 1, you just won't be assigned the Specials that require X number of Stars (like True Dragons of Absalom).
Come to PaizoCon! I'll be there =)

Doom Comes to Dustspawn it is then!
Shel just recently made 8th level, so she will safely still be in tier, even if she gets a couple more scenarios under her belt by then.
Kiku Caritas |
I've been saving To Judge a Soul 1 and 2 for Kiku, so I cant let her hit 8 until she gets them both. I doubt I will have a problem playing them before February, but I have several other options to play if it comes to that.

Yay!
Juniper has a breath weapon now.
And she is even better at boosting allies' ACs.
@ GM Hmm: Do you want us to send you our list of items we are purchasing on this chronicle so you can record it and sign off on it?
The only real downside for Juniper playing modules is that she is already dangerously low on Prestige. She spent 15 to become steward of Fangwood Keep and that hasn't paid off yet—nor will it if she plays modules from here on out. But that is minor. I've been wanting to play Doom Comes to Dustpawn ever since it came out.
@ GM Hmm: Do you already own the module as a PDF? If not, I'm happy to pick it up for you. If any of the other players want to chip in, we can work something out.

I'm not sure what level range that is, but I wouldn't mind taking a crack at those two, if there were an opening!

Never mind...I went and starting looking up these scenarios, adn I just got in the first part of a game! I think, unfortunately, I will level out and not be able to run the second part with the same character which is a bummer.

It's in May 2016, right? I'll have to talk things over with the men in my life and see if we could go. How much GMing is required for Tier 1? The whole con? How much prep time do they give you?
I like GMing about as much as I enjoy playing, but I require more prep time than most of the GMs I know locally seem to... On the other hand, newer scenarios include all the stat blocks, so they might need less prep.
I think I'm just slow when it comes to reading and deciphering dense scenario text. On the other hand... I've gotten kudos as a GM at every table I run, so even with my Pathfinder math issue, I think I'm a pretty okay GM.
Juniper Berrythwaite |
@ Gerald: Do you have other characters in tier? OR, would you want to GM it instead?

I do not, and will accept the gift if offered to me. I was thinking of purchasing both modules to at least look them over. This will vastly defray costs!

Not to be a party poop-er - but we shouldn't send watermarked materials ie purchased PDFs to others.
