I was searching through various weapon types, to pick a bludgeoning secondary weapon, and came across blunt arrows. They may be a useful addition to an archer's arsenal.
Arrow, Blunt: These arrows have rounded wooden tips. They deal bludgeoning damage rather than piercing damage. An archer can use a blunt arrow to deal nonlethal damage (at the normal –4 attack penalty for using a lethal weapon to deal nonlethal damage).
A few others:
Arrow, Flight: These arrows have light shafts and special fletchings to give them greater range. A flight arrow's range increment is 20 feet greater with longbows, 10 feet greater with shortbows. They deal damage as if one size category smaller.
Arrow, Smoke: This arrow is actually a specially-shaped smokestick that can be fired from a bow. It trails smoke as it flies, and creates a 5-foot cube of smoke where it strikes. It otherwise functions like a normal arrow in terms of damage, range, and so on.

Before I forget, I wanted to let everyone know that Tarek is going to use his Guidance orison on the party before entering a room. I may not get the chance to post his action in time but he would use the divine spell before the party took any actions. With only 4 of us in the party, it would allow 6 rounds for each person to state when to use it. It is a free +1 that can be used for several different situations.
He will do this more often since he gets unlimited uses of the spell. It will take a total of 4 rounds to cast. Time to make use of any advantage we can get. It may not be practical in all situations but it makes the most sense before entering a room.
He will cast it on Isador before he checks a door for being trapped or locked. Once those checks are made, Tarek will cast on everybody before anyone enters.

Good thing Tarek was finally able to do something useful. Sad thing, like Have stated, we are just about out of spells and we still have half a pyramid to explore. Maybe the other half is where the pharoah built his racquetball court and his exercise room.

Ok folks, we are almost done with this scenario. I plan to run the next board for the PbP gameday 5 coming up at the end of the month. As Tarek is getting his ass whooped right now, he gets to pick the next scenario! Cool thing about running with the game day is that they give you the scenario for free. Tarek, please take a look and let me know what scenario looks good and I will post it.
You guys are almost done, if you can drop the pharaoh soon, I can get the chronicles out. I know Lock is looking to do some Gen Con stuff this weekend, so go to it!

I came across these 3 that sound interesting. I think we meet the criteria to play but I am not 100% sure. First two deal with the Apsis Consortium and thought it may play off well after completing our current scenario of trying to beat the Consortium to artifacts. The 3rd seems to be something very different than what we have played but I do not know which tiers are allowed.
All 3 have a fee for the PDFs. Not sure if these count for free play on Game Day. If I need to select from another list then let me know where to look.

Mummy Rot is a pretty serious ailment. Tarek would have to be 6th level before having access to the spells needed to remove such an affliction. I am surprised a scenario labeled for level 3 players would have something so serious. Depending on the cost or prestige needed to Remove it, Tarek may not have enough and most likely will succumb to the curse.

Unless I am reading it incorrectly, Tarek needs to spend 2 PP to clear the condition. One PP for remove curse and 1 PP to remove disease (see page 21 of updated PFS guide). Do you believe that to be accurate?

Brew, great scenario once again .
'Lockk will be 5th level and based off Gen Con will hit 6th after one more adventure.
Arklore is 2nd as a result of Gen Con with Titus 1XP shy of 4th.

This last scenario gives me my 8th chronicle sheet. I was at least one behind everyone else and my 9th chronicle sheet would allow me to level to 4, since I received 1 exp per sheet. I believe Isador and Caoilte get to level. I would suggest everyone stock up on healing supplies before our next adventure. Tarek is not a healer and will be unable to support the party in that role.

GM Brew |

Alrighty folks, I have posted Chronicles and will pm you the link shortly. Caoilte and Izzy level up, so shoot me your level choices and I will also post updated character sheet. Lock, please email me your updated .por file when you get the chance. See you folks in a couple weeks for the next board!

Brew, just thinking about any purchases Tarek will need before posting. I will post something later tonight in gameplay.
I noticed that on Herolabs. Seems PFS Automatically gives 1/2 of the max die roll plus con bonuses for hp. Guess that beats rolling a 1.
Everybody make sure they have enough potions to get them out of trouble. Anybody who wants to buy a healing wand and can't use it, just let Tarek know in game and he will use it on you.

Tarek wanted to upgrade his armor and shield to +1 before adventuring
PRD: Armor bonus (enhancement) Bonus squared × 1,000 g
+1 Banded mail: banded mail +150 mw +1000gp for +1 bonus= 1150gp
+1 Heavy steel shield: steel shield +150 mw +1000gp for +1 bonus= 1150gp
2 potions of cure light wounds: 100gp
Total Cost: 2400gp
I think this is correct.

I chose weapons specialization battle axe. I took the 8 HPs and added the 3 bonus HPs for a gain of 11.
Do we do favored class HPs?
Just so you're tracking, my battle axe hits do 1d8 + 10 now. I also got an additional 2 damage bump for power attack.

Folks, I am very sorry for letting this board fade. I had a convergence of RL issues get the best of me. To be fair, I have been running games here for a while now and I think my meat space stuff brought on some serious GM burn out. I have really enjoyed gaming with you guys again over the last year plus. I do intend to get back on the horse at some point once I get myself squared away and recharge my batteries. For now, I am taking a break from GM life. You guys are awesome.

Brew good times and glad to see we are back. Good times!
on a side note, Paizo now publishes a lot of the pathfinder rule books in what they call pocket book editions. They are extremely well put together and go for about 1/2 the price of the hard cover books.

Brew, can you share any info about the new campaign you are planning on running? Were you wanting farm fresh level 1 characters to start in that campaign? Are there any classes that are recommended? I mentioned before that I have a 1st level nagaji ninja with 2 xp but I would also be happy to create something new.I am thinking about a few different classes but I was curious as to what our characters will be getting into before making an official decision. Thanks!

Sure man. I am going to run Dragon's Demand in campaign mode. In campaign mode, you are not restricted to PFS limitations in making a character, so anything goes. You will receive a chronicle, well four actually, if we play the whole thing through that you can add to an official PFS character. Confusing I know, but think of it as playing a mini campaign and getting bonus chronicles when you are done. Important to note, though, that you only get the fourth chronicle if the other three were applied to one character. For now, don't worry about the chronicles and I will help sort it out when nedded.
As far as what characters are best? Not really sure. I think the setting is fairly open for about anything. Hope that helps.
Also, I picked up a copy of Starfinder and I am really liking it. If you guys were ever interested, I would run some Starfinder. There is a corresponding Starfinderr Society which operates very much like PFS.
In any event, lets get this scenario wrapped up and we can dive in to Dragon's Demand.
