Unchained has some great stuff in it.

I really like how they relooked Skills, revamped the Rogue, Monk and Barbarian. I am not a fan of the Summoner class but they did a good job of reeling it back in a bit.

Lots of good stuff to consider.

No worries guys, glad you liked the scenario. This one was a challenge to run as it was very non linear. Things were very fluid and stuff happened and was triggered based on your character's actions. You are right in your suspicion copmc, the stork was definitely involved! I would be glad to break it down more during a chat session in the near future.

This board will remain open as our base forum here at Paizo. I will post the next scenario here. I hope to get that going this weekend, but I have some heavy work stuff coming up so the next adventure may be held off to the following weekend. In the meantime, feel free to talk about stuff here or post IC in the gameplay thread. As far as game continuity, the Archons have returned to Absalom and may do as they wish for a bit. Also, keep your eyes out for PMs from me that may give a clue as to what's next in store for Vaslin's Archons!

Eloriand's Day Job Roll: Survival Roll

Thinking out loud here, but my plan is to run the main guys through the next adventure. Knowing that some of you want to play alts, especially Kitty so that her foxy lady can get grandfathered, I am contemplating running an alt scenario as well, either via Roll20 or a parallel pbp game. Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Copmc, go ahead and note on your chronicle that scroll was expended. It should also be noted on your Inventory Tracking sheet. You guys are current on those right? *laughs*

I am on board with running an alt campaign if it helps kat secure the right to play Foxy Brown.

Do all of our alts need to be sanctioned for PFS play or just those that want to play that character in other PFS scenarios outside our group? I had been building a Fetchling Ninja but found out the Fetchling is no longer an approved race.

In order for the game to be sanctioned PFS, all characters playing must be PFS legal. Otherwise, its just a home game.

Just to give everyone a heads up, I plan on playing a Nagaji Ninja, as an alternate class, so Kat can work on her Kitsune Oracle. I figure now is the time to verify a unique race before they get benched.

The nagaji are a race of ophidian humanoids with scaled skin that mimics the dramatic appearance of true nagas. Like serpents, they have forked tongues and lidless eyes, giving them an unblinking gaze that most other races find unnerving. Their physical forms are otherwise humanlike, raising wary speculation about their origins. It is widely believed that true nagas created them as a servitor race, through crossbreeding, magic, or both, and indeed nagaji revere nagas as living gods. Nagaji often inspire awe and fear among other humanoids, as much for their mysterious ancestry as for their talent for both swords and sorcery.

Next scenario is locked and loaded. I am going to run a shorter adventure for main group that I plan on finishing before GenCon. I will also run an alt scenario for those interested. Now, we have two options for alt run. 1) Live game via Roll20 or 2) 2nd pbp. I would like to give Roll20 a try, but I will leave it up to those interested in the alt game to decide the venue.

Caoilte, I have your level ups. The rest of you need to get me your level up choices so I can update your char sheets. My goal is to have main campaign game up by this weekend.

I would vote for a secondary PbP game. I would not mind doing a roll 20 game, I just don't know when I could set aside a 4 hour block of time to play.

Tsukai is all set up to play. I do not care for the avatar pic but it was the only one available to even closely resembled his race. I wish I could post the hero lab pic in it's place. That gives a much better image of how I envisioned he would look.

So we're getting a fox and a lizard. Anyone else?

Sounds like we want to run two pbps, which is cool. I am ready to fire up the main campaign scenario as soon as I get everyone's level up stuff. For the alt, I need at least 4 PCs to run. Looks like Kat and copmc are in for the alt, let me know who else wants in on the alt game. If you do not feel like making a new character for the alt game, you may also use a pregen then apply the chronicle to a new pc if and when you make an alt.

I am going to sit out the alternate game. Sorry I am lagging on Eloriand. I haven't been checking the board and didn't realize we were ready to start again. I will work on Eloriand's level up.

For the Alt game, looking like that is going to be tough to cram in before Gen Con so I think our options are to 1) live game via some internet platform or 2) commit to a 2-3 post a day pbp game. I know copmc and namegani want to log a chronicle on a race that might go poof after Gen Con, so I need at least one other player, preferable 2-3, to also commit to run the game. Let me know.

I think I could do multiple posts in a day. I usually check in the am, lunch and eve from my phone. I don't see a good day for a live game for at least 3 weeks for me.

So far, I know Kat, copmc and Ark are good to go with alt characters. I have a few scenarios ready to go. I would likely run the confirmation again. Anyone else want to try an alt?

I think Izz talked about playing a pre gen alt if it is a pbp game, just not sure his thoughts about multiple posts per day. Hopefully he chimes in do give his final decision .

I can and will play the alt game but, as COPM stated, I am only able to play if it is PbP format. I am okay with multiple posts per day as long but my work schedule can impact my availability at times.

I do not have a character made but I'm certainly willing to play a pregen if one is available. I have no preference on class and I look forward to the challenge of "winging it" with a pregen.

Ah.... I mistakenly thought there were pregens specific to the module. I downloaded the pregenerated character pack last night so I will check them out tonight if that is not too late. Thinking about a sorcerer but I am open to cleric or fighter.

I rolled up a Sorcerer, but I also have a fighter I can play. Izzy, tell me your preference,and I can play either character.

Ah, if you're going cleric you may want to check out what Kinzu has ready to go as an oracle - especially since she'll be pretty much worthless in a fight. Yay -STR mod!!

Gabriel should not overlap with Kinzu on too many fronts.

I sent a copy of my character to GM Brew so well see if I made the cut-off for the new game.

We have four set for the alt game: Kinzu, Snake guy, Ark's fighter or Sorcerer and Kira for Izzy. Now, we have to figure execution of the game. I have been mulling this over and I think I have an idea. My thought is to do a hybrid game. Mostly by pbp but using Roll20 to resolve the fights. If we were able to pull it off, I would get to try Roll20 and the time commitment would be minimal. Just a thought, otherwise we will have to really cook on posts to make it before Gen Con. My plan was to re-run the Confirmation for the alt game. Thoughts?

Having checked out roll 20, the only issue I have with it is you have to log in from a pc unless you are a paying subscriber. This means I will only be able to check on the game when I am home. I can access Paizo's site from my phone and can make multiple posts in a day. From my computer my posts would be limited mostly to the evenings.

Running the confirmation game is fine for me. I have not ran it yet and it may move quicker since Brew ran the scenario once already. I am ready to go and feel trying the pbp method may be our best shot at finishing the scenario quickly. Maybe we can save roll 20 for another alt campaign if you want to test it out.

I vote for getting the pbp started as soon as we can and we can see if we need to pick up the slack with another option later. We can end up spending another week trying to hash out our options

Sounds like pbp is the way to go for now. I'll do my best to get the alt board up in the next few days.
