Company! one of the Aspis men hisses, then takes a bolt from Cacumattus' crossbow.

Rhanloi fills the room with fire. The magic seems to have a strange interaction with the leader, who pops five feet south, teleporting a short distance, as he screams in agony.

The two red-haired men move up the great lenses. The northernmost one looks in hatred at Cacumattus, then target the lens as a beam of fire shoots out. The southern lens is aimed at Rhanloi, who sees a beam of fire shoot just around his head.

Rhanloi manages to catch the two Aspis agents in his streak of lightning. As the crackling energy hits the leader, he shifts again, to the north this time, then falls to the floor. An object crackling with magical energy - some kind of greenish glowing orb encased in bands of strange metal - falls from his body, and roll a few meter down before stopping.

Cacumattus tries to touch the northern agents, but the man is far too nimble to come close.

Rasamoro spreads out his spell of quickening over himself, Boram, Marra and Cacumattus. Boram then proceeds to throw two bombs. The loud explosion takes down the remaining aspis agent close to Rhanloi.

The last aspis agent, after avoiding Cacumattus strike, turns to the gnome and rapidly hits him with three rock-hard fits blows.

In the glowing, pulsing artefact, Rhanloi recognises some of the pieces he saw displayed at the Grand Lodge in between mission. This must be what it looks like when it is assembled - a sphere-like metallic object that seems to be out of touch with the position in space it holds, bending it and twisting it as it lies on the floor.

Rasamoro has no time to spare on the Sky key, and instead focuses on dismembering the last Aspis agent. A deep cut from his katana staggers the man, and as Boram throws his bomb, the last agents is blown to bits.

Combat over. This one, at least

Within the summoning circle on the lower end of the tower, something primal, an energy of sorts, is struggling against the barrier. It does so with so much force that jolts of energy reverberate around the room. In the pulsing light of the sky key, the energies seem to condense, forming beings of pure electricity.

Battered and bleeding from the Aspis agent's blows, Cacumattus looks at the forming electrical elementals, then down at his hand, still sparking with the spell he failed to deliver to the agent, back at the elementals, and finally at his hand once more. Reluctantly concluding that such a spell would likely be ineffective against these enemies, he lets it fizzle away harmlessly.

Instead, he turns his attention to the beam device the agent used against him, and attempts to turn it on the closest (northern) elemental.

Since this is new combat and new Init roll, I use my foolhardy rush ability to move 25fts. before any actions
As cracking started hasted Rasamoro moved along northern edge. When elemental appeared on the material plane, magic warrior took scroll out of his possessions and started casting, hiding himself and his target in mist cloud.

Get scroll, cast obscuring mist, 5ft step. I'll update map soon, mobile client is to limited for semitransparent shapes and layer manipulation

Cacumattus turns the lens and aims it at the elemental. As he manipulates the device, he realizes it has been spent, but can be recharged with a fire-based spell.

Spell must be 2nd level or higher. You can do this immediately to fire a single scorching ray (4d6 fire on a RT hit)

Rhanloi mans up the other lens, and moves it into position.

Marra surrounds herself with equally quick doubles. Rasamoro quickly moves, then disappears in a cloud of mist.

Marra dances, closing in on the Large elemental, and dealing two atonishing hacks at the creature, while electricity pulses through her blade. Rhanloi shoots his scorching rays at the elemental, which hit the ceiling with a bright spark.

In the cloud, Rasamoro fights for what he's worth, and he's worth quite a bit, hitting the elemental twice, and coming close to taking it out.

Two big explosion fill the air with thunderous roar and the smell of ozone. When the smoke settles, the large elemental has been blown apart, the ground covered in sparks and discharges.

C'mon guys, you can still do it!

Wiping his brow, Rhanloi claps his friends on the back and checks to make sure each is OK. After this attack on the Grand Lodge, the elf realizes that maybe he won't live forever, and he should take full advantage of every day he has.

And so, once they are done debriefing and cleaning up, he finds the young Blakros woman he had been seeing off and on since his adventure in her cousin's museum, and decides to see if maybe they had a future together.
