Ketill's bomb shakes the 'glass' pane, but doesn't break it. It will take a bit more force to get through it.
Eventually, the glass gives way with a sploshing sound of gushing water. Once the boiling liquid has drained, the space beyond that has opened up reveals a large cave, filled with the sound of hisses of steam. In the back, a large heap of coins and valuables lies piled up.

The ground is hot and the cave humid. Other than that, nothing is amiss.
We're pretty much done on this level. Can you guys roll day jobs if you haven't done so? I'll report, so that we can move down to the deadlier stuff.

"No gooey blob to fight? Nice. I guess it couldn't deal with the temperature difference." She shrugs and pets Ilvan. "Want to get out of this hot, stinky cavern, Ilvan?" The bugbear hoots and nuzzles the tiefling. "Yeah, me too. Let's go."

"Well, that went surprisingly well," Ilya says as she descends the stairs again and joins the others.
"Let's grab the money and go."

Back in town, Swayaah looks at the profane text and hurls it into the nearest holy sacred fire she can find. "Nope, not touching that thing."
Reclaiming 1 PP back from an unfortunate death.
Swayaah continues her exploration of the River Kingdom. Much quieter out there.

Onto level 11!
The stairs reach a small, level chamber of dressed stone blocks. To the north, the stairs curve around the Emerald Spire where it protrudes from the western wall as they descend. But to the east stand bronze double doors sealed with red-and-black wax and hung with lead seals suspended from rotting silk ribbons. Runes are engraved around the door frame.

"I miss the sun. I'm used to the dark, of course. But it works wonders for my complexion." Swayaah sighs.
"At least it isn't as hot as an inferno down here. Let me check that door."
Swayaah carefully heads to the double doors.

The runes read the friendly message Beware! Within lie the remains of the dark heretic Yarrix, cursed be her name. Enter not her tomb, lest you join her restless soul in its banishment in the spaces between the worlds.
With some tinkering, Swayaah manages to unlock the door before Ilvan becomes too bored.
A wide corridor is finished in dark, glossy stone. The walls feature prominent stone ribs every two feet, and meet in a pointed arch twenty feet above the floor. Narrow passageways lead north and south from this hall, and there are large bronze double doors at each end of the hall.

"Alright, Ilvan? That wasn't so bad!" Swayaah readies her earthbreaker. "Besides, we get to crush a creepy heretic! Maybe she's still human!" She pets Ilvan, who hoots happily.

The party moves into the large hall, peering into the depths of the long side corridors, as two automatons - moving in jittery fashion, covered in a layer of brownish mold - shuffle in from the sides.

Swayaah recalls memories of her young days, tearing into some fey who laughed at her, tugging her wings and spitting upon her. It wasn't her proudest moment when she lost control and gave into rage, but it felt good.

Ketill fires his cold arrow at the construct. Besides jarring the mechanism, he also instantly clear off the mold off the construct, revealing a shining armor underneath. It only takes Ilya to step in and kick the rusty insides apart.
Zen'yr realizes her murderous command will have little effect on the sole construct standing. Vayu fires two shots, which have a hard time penetrating the armor, but still ding the automaton severely.
The automated guardian takes a step back, and tries to slash Swayaah with its Guisarme

The hypnotic stare and its penalty can affect creatures that are mindless or immune to mindaffecting effects (such as an undead or vermin). The mesmerist can also partially affect such a creature with his mind-affecting spells and abilities if it’s under his hypnotic stare; it gains a +2 bonus on its saving throw (if any), and if affected it still has a 50% chance each round of ignoring the effect. Ignoring the effect doesn’t end the effect, but allows the creature to act normally for that round.

As the last automaton falls, a gushing of wind sweeps through the hall as the stone double doors of the entrance slam shut behind the adventurers.

"Good...job...folks." Swayaah stows her earthbreaker as the last creature falls. She startled as the doors slam shut, but tries to play it off. "Something tells me what's-her-face the corrupted really wants us to kill her, and won't let us out til we get the job done."
Swayaah giggles. "As you wish, madam."
