Balon is ready to join the ranks of this merry band. He thinks we'll all get along famously. :-D

![]() |

"I can vouch for this Balon guy, even though his choice of deities is poor, to say the least. He'll help you on this next mission while I go fight some demons at the worldwound... I just haven't gotten enough demon fighting recently!"

![]() |

Redke's up to 12 xp, I think I'll have to switch him out for Spectre Todd... (Level 4/9xp Bard/Cavalier)
Peter
Edit: Note: Spectre Todd is Not That Kind of Bard.

![]() |

I'll be out of town starting on Friday through Tuesday, so I won't be updating as much as normal, possibly not at all on some days of the weekend.

![]() |

So, after the next scenario (3-25), everybody should have a number of XP that can be divided by three. Is that correct?
Correct.
I currently don't have the time, but I'll start posting again tomorrow!

DM Kludde |

Redke and Vayu, are you ready to go as well?

![]() |

I am away on vacation through Monday the 6th, with a lot of family and unknown internet connectivity. Do not count on me checking in before Tuesday. Please bot as necessary.

![]() |

Can anyone else use Balon's Inflict Wounds wand to cure him? He is in pretty dire straights as in dead very soon.
Oloch is 5' short on movement ... stupid clerics don't have any movement enhancement spells that I could find ... (Have a swift action cast any spell option but only on me ... so need extra movement.)
My only move to help is to move 20ft and then cast stabalize ...
He could also touch someone to give them 10' of movement if that helps someone else get to the wand.

![]() |

All I have is UMD, but I have a +10 to it so 50% chance.

![]() |

I will be out of country until next week Friday, May 1 with most likely no chance for posting. Please bot me if necessary.

![]() |

My wife and I are in the process of moving into a new house, and today and tomorrow are our big moving days, so I won't be posting much until Sunday evening or even Monday morning. This'll probably be my last post until at least Sunday morning.

DM Kludde |

We're almost at the end of this one, so can I have day job rolls and PFS#'s from everyone? This'll be the last of the Hao Jin interludes, so next up is level 5 of the dungeon.

![]() |

Ketill is still at slow track
PFS ID: 24861-7
Faction: Liberty's Edge
Day Job Alchemy: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (9) + 21 = 30
I take it I can cross one of the "Liberate one or more slaves, captives, or hostages during an adventure" check boxes from my faction journal card for freeing Besnik?

DM Kludde |

Yes, you can. I'll note it on the chronicle.
If anyone else has a faction card goal he thinks he met, let me know, and I'll make a note as well.

![]() |

Considering we're showing the Aspis Consortium that the Pathfinder Society's not to be messed with, I believe I qualify for the following faction card goal?
"Complete a mission (by completing both the primary and secondary success conditions) tied directly to enhancing or preserving the reputation of the Pathfinder Society in the eyes of another nation or organization."
Player: StephNyan
Name: Ilya Akyll
PFS#: 115025-9
Faction: Sovereign Court
Day Job: Profession (Martial Arts Instructor): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

![]() |

63386-13
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24
Lodge faction.

![]() |

No day job and no completed goals for Balon. (Unless this caster happens to carry a spellbook with at least 15 combined levels of spells in it.)
#44004-13

DM Kludde |

The latest set of chronicles is up here (link). Ol'och: I couldn't find a PFS# for you, did you register the character?
I guess everybody should be level 5 now, with not a single xp to spare?
----
Level 1: The Tower Ruins 1–2
Level 2: The Cellars 1–3
Level 3: Splinterden 2–4
Level 4: Godhome 3–5*
---Level 5: The Drowned Level 3–5*
---
Level 6: The Clockwork Maze 4–6
Level 7: Shrine of the Awakener 5–7
Level 8: The Circle of Vissk-Thar 6–8
Level 9: The Spire Axis 7–9
Level 10: The Magma Vault 8–10*
Level 11: The Tomb of Yarrix 8–10*
Level 12: The Automaton Forge 9–11*
Level 13: The Pleasure Gardens 9–11*
Level 14: The Throne of Azlant 10–12*
Level 15: Order and Chaos 10–12*
Level 16: The Emerald Root 11–13
The progression advises the next level to be played on slow progression. Let's not do that, and instead do it on fast. We can debate on doing 6 and 7 on slow, so you're nicely in the middle of the range (which makes for the best gameplay experience), but I'll leave that up to you.

DM Kludde |

Also, the conjurer was carrying around a boatload of spells in his spellbook:
3rd—dispel magic, fireball, summon monster III
2nd—acid arrow, false life, scare, summon monster II
1st—alarm, mage armor, magic missile, summon monster I, burning hands, comprehend languages, feather fall, grease, hold portal, obscuring mist, shield;

![]() |

Kludde, I am lvl 5 now (after this chronicle), so wouldn't it be better to do slow for the next two emerald spire levels?? That way I am lvl 6 when starting emerald spire 7: Shrine of the Awakener 5-7.

![]() |

Ooh, okay cool so I DO get to check off a box on my Dark Archive sheet! Sweet! First box ever!

DM Kludde |

If anybody else has a box to tick, let me know and I'll note it on the chronicle.
As far as I understood, a player has to tick the boxes on the faction sheets themselves (there's no room for a GM signature), so I've fallen into the habit of making notes on the chronicle.

![]() |

Oh also, I'll be traveling to a conference tomorrow and will be there through Saturday, so I imagine I'll have time to post while I'm there but it is possible that I won't. GMs, bot me as needed.

![]() |

Huh ... yeah, Oloch doesn't have a number ... guess I'll just throw this on a character that doesn't exist other than some other pregen play.
36007-4 currently named "Year of the Risen"

![]() |

If anybody else has a box to tick, let me know and I'll note it on the chronicle.
What about the box I mentioned in my previous post in this thread?

![]() |

I had a 30 on my day job and should receive 75 gp...

![]() |

Also, the conjurer was carrying around a boatload of spells in his spellbook:
3rd—dispel magic, fireball, summon monster III
2nd—acid arrow, false life, scare, summon monster II
1st—alarm, mage armor, magic missile, summon monster I, burning hands, comprehend languages, feather fall, grease, hold portal, obscuring mist, shield;
Great! So his book contained exactly two alchemist formulas. Ironic that I had both of them in my formula book...

Bad news guys, my computer is still broke which means I have no access to the play test PDF, so I cannot level Zen'yr. if someone can get me access, or somehow look up what I would get at level 5 that would be awesome :)

DM Kludde |

I've copied some tables from the document to the handout. Hope that helps. I would rather not put a watermarked document up publicly, even if it's a free one.

![]() |

Thank you, that should work perfectly :)

![]() |

Got it and downloaded. Thank you very much :)

![]() |

I'll be out of town starting on Friday (going to PaizoCon! WOO!!) and will likely not be updating much until I get back on Tuesday night. Tomorrow will be my last day of full-day posting. Players or GMs, please feel free to bot my characters until I get back.

DM Kludde |

I'll be in China for the next two weeks, and I'm not sure what the internet situation will be there (especially, whether I can access google drawings). In the worst case, I might go black until the 21st.

![]() |

Air crystal will let us breathe but no talking fir caters and no swim speed

![]() |

This week is going to be hectic, feel free to bot me!
Also, Redke has tons of money to buy potions that are helpful.

![]() |

Ok we have air bubble and potions for breathing. What else is cheap? We need swim speed or change shape into something with swim speed. How about a raft?

![]() |

Potions of monkey fish are definitely the cheapest way to get a swim speed. Climb speed and swim speed both 10 for 1 minute. Should be enough to get you across most waterlogged areas (20 ft movement per round, 10 rounds = 200 feet).

![]() |

You haven't seen me around for some time for which I apologize. Some three weeks ago my computer broke down and it took about a week to get it repaired.
In that time I also experienced that I had too much on my plate and instead of being honest about that to myself (and you) I dropped the ball and did not resume posting when the technical issues were sorted out. I felt obliged to get back to you, but that became harder with every passing day. I finally have found the courage to get back to the Paizo site.
I have had a lot of fun playing in all the PbP's I have been in, but I feel that I need to take a step back and stop playing online for the time being. It might be that when my work and personal life willl settle down again that I will be back, but I feel I should not promise to posting regularly right now.
Thank you for the very nice games we have shared.
