I think I'll leave Kellan as she is as well... I've gotten a bit attached to her during this scenario. But I did find out I'm allowed to retrain her if I wanted to, so that's cool. :)

![]() |

But the moment you start her, she is stuck that way. But yes in general you can retrain before you play as a lvl 2.

![]() |

I am ready, rebuilt as a mesmerist, will all sorts of enchantment spell goodies...DC 15, then as a swift action I can make it a DC 16 with my stare :)

![]() |

Better get a chronicle. GM credit doesn't count for the playtest. I would've been in good business if it was ;-)
Horray The Confirmation!!! (Now legal, since I played :D)
I also have a spare GM credit now... (got 2 scenarios done :P)
Peter

![]() |

We can move forward ... just finished DM'ing Burnt Offerings.
I will level Vayu tonight or tomorrow morning.

DM Kludde |

Are you applying the credit to Vayu? I'd recommend against it. Reason is, the emerald spire has more dungeon levels than character level, so it's already recommended to follow slow advancement for certain dungeon levels. If you apply GM credit, you run the risk of being too high a character level for the tier the dungeon is played in.

DM Kludde |

Paging Brayden... ready to go Brayden?

![]() |

Yeah, this is the only PFS-legal way to play through a single campaign and get a PFS character all the way from 1st to 13th(!!) level, and you still have to go slow advancement for some of it! So awesome... Kludde, if you are up for it, I plan to play through the entire superdungeon under your awesome PbP GMing skills. :-D

DM Kludde |

Here's the list of tiers for the dungeon levels. The ones with a * are recommended to be run at slow advancement. Basically, you always want to try and be in the middle of the level range (so level 2 for the cellars, level 3 for splinterden, level 4 for god home and still level 4 for the drowned level.
Level 1: The Tower Ruins 1–2
Level 2: The Cellars 1–3
Level 3: Splinterden 2–4
Level 4: Godhome 3–5*
Level 5: The Drowned Level 3–5*
Level 6: The Clockwork Maze 4–6
Level 7: Shrine of the Awakener 5–7
Level 8: The Circle of Vissk-Thar 6–8
Level 9: The Spire Axis 7–9
Level 10: The Magma Vault 8–10*
Level 11: The Tomb of Yarrix 8–10*
Level 12: The Automaton Forge 9–11*
Level 13: The Pleasure Gardens 9–11*
Level 14: The Throne of Azlant 10–12*
Level 15: Order and Chaos 10–12*
Level 16: The Emerald Root 11–13

![]() |

At first glance arriving at The Magma Vault as level 10 instead of 11 doesn't seem particularly bad to me. You could do the slow advancement from there on. That way we'd end up at level 13, instead of 12.
Do they advise taking slow progression at levels 4 and 5 to avoid the dungeon lacking challenge? Playing a game without challenge wouldn't be fun.
I really look forward to start with the next level we're playing. It'd be absolutely awesome if we'd be able to completely finish this dungeon! :)

DM Kludde |

I've put up a post in the recruitment thread. The first player to post a legal character this thread gets the spot.

![]() |

Pick me! I need to apply my last chronicle, but am good to go.

![]() |

bahahahaha. another tiefling :D
Redke is gonna have fun :D
(Ketill, check the play so far to see the "joys" of redke & kellen :P)

DM Kludde |

Welcome aboard, Ketill. Good seeing you again after the snows of summer. You look a little different, though ;-)
Feel free to proceed directly to the game thread when you're ready.

![]() |

Hi everyone, glad to join!
GM: you never knew that Kellid was in fact a Tiefling in disguise?
That might have something to do with the 15th of august and the new guide to PFS OP that spawned a lot of Tieflings and Aasimars ;-)
I will apply some GM credit in due course to get him to a multiple of 3 xp so that i can take slow advancement when needed.

![]() |

This is very interesting: Land Rush plus Property Broker.
Property Broker costs 5 PP, and then everyone else in the party will only need to spend 1 PP on each plot of land in the Land Rush.
Kellan will probably do this once we get our second chronicle sheet, to reduce the cost of the land plots for the rest of you. Pretty awesome. :)

![]() |

It'd be very awesome, but will you still have enough PP left to purchase your own parcel of land?
I'd take the same vanity for you, if I could. Thing is, I'm currently at 0 PP :S

![]() |

I would be behind a few parcels, but that's not a huge deal. We get 4PP per level, and the parcels cost 2 each, so I could buy Property Broker and one parcel as soon as we get our second sheet, then catch up with two parcels the following sheet. As long as people make good use of their extra PP, I have no problem sacrificing a bit for the group.

![]() |

"You may only purchase one plot of land with this boon, but each additional Chronicle sheet awarded as part of The Emerald Spire Superdungeon allows you to purchase more land."
I don't think 'more land' means 'more than 1 parcel at a time', but rather means 'you can buy 1 more parcel each sheet'.
Meaning you won't be able to catch up by buying 2 parcels :(

![]() |

You can only purchase one plot of land with the boon... and I wouldn't USE the boon until after I get the second sheet. I'm pretty sure it would work. I'll talk to my fellow VLs and see what their thoughts are on it.

![]() |

I hadn't thought of it that way. Now I take another look at it, that appears to be the logical conclusion.
Then I'll also get Property Broker asap, which will be after the 3rd sheet, to give you the same benefit ;)

DM Kludde |

I'm be prudent with getting the property broker thing. Consensus seems to gravitate away from the combination Emerald Spire and Property Broker being allowed. No official ruling as far as I know.

![]() |

Shame... :/

![]() |

Fair enough. It's true that since it's a boon from a chronicle sheet, it might not count as a Vanity (even though it acts like a duck and all that, LOL). It was a nice thought though!

![]() |

Sure was!

DM Kludde |

I'll be on holiday from Dec 18 to Dec 27, during which I'll have next to no internet. I'm trying my best to get this level finished before then (it might be possible). To be ready for that, I'd like you to roll day jobs, so I can at least prepare the chronicle.

![]() |

No Day Job from Ilya.

![]() |

Day Job, Crafters Fortune: 1d20 + 13 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 13 + 5 = 38
that is 100 gp!

![]() |

craft jewel: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27

DM Kludde |

I've added chronicles to the Chronicle folder. Ketill, let me know if you are interested in a land grab boon (you can open one of the 'EmDGen' chronicles to see what it contains). I'll make one for you if you want one.
Also, because this is gameday 3:
---
Boon Rolls:
DMK: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Ilya: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Kellan: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Ketill: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Redke: 1d20 ⇒ 3
Vayu: 1d20 ⇒ 6
Zen'yr: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Boon of players choice on a natural roll of 1 or 20
**Re-Rolls not allowed on boons**
---
Boom! Ilya and Kellan get a boon. Choose one from the three listed below and pm me your email address so I can tell the VC to send it to you...
Adopted Weapon Training: You have spent an extended period of time training in a culture other than your own, and as a result, you have learned that population’s weapon styles to the exclusion of all others. You gain the weapon familiarity racial trait of one of the following races: dwarf, elf, gnome, halfling, or half-orc. This specialization comes at a price, and you suffer a –1 penalty on attack rolls made with manufactured weapons other than those granted by any weapon familiarity racial traits you possess. You ignore this penalty when using a weapon that benefits from any Weapon Focus feat or weapon training class feature you may have.
Ancestral Ally: Golarion’s many cultures have traditions of animal husbandry and cooperation that date back millennia, and you have embraced one of your people’s favored companion creatures. If you have the divine bond or mount class feature, instead of choosing an animal companion from the list provided in the class description, you may instead call a mount from the list below so long as you are a member of the corresponding race. If the animal companion statistics for your race’s mount are found in a source beyond the Core Assumption, the source is listed below. You must bring a copy of the listed book to all games in which you use the selected animal companion as though access to the animal companion came from the Additional Resources list.
If an asterisk follows an animal companion option listed below, the animal already appears on the list provided by your class description, and you are at least 4th-level, you may spend 5 Prestige Points to strengthen your bond with that type of animal. This increases your effective druid level as one higher when determining the animal companion’s bonus HD, natural armor bonus, Strength and Dexterity bonuses, bonus tricks, and special abilities. This boon cannot increase your effective druid level more than one level above your actual character level.
Dwarf: badger*, boar
Elf: bird*, elk (Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 3)
Gnome: badger*, giant weasel (Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 4)
Halfling: dog*, ram (Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 2)
Half-Elf: A half-elf may choose from the elf and human lists.
Half-Orc: camel*, bear; a half-orc may also choose from the human list.
Human: bird*, horse*
Custom Order: You have a special contract with an ammunition crafter, and you are able to order small batches of specialty ammunition as a result. Choose either a +1 or +2 ranged weapon enchantment. You may purchase +1 [enchantment] pieces of ammunition in sets of 10 instead of sets of 50. Once you choose the weapon enchantment, you may only change the enchantment type by spending 4 Prestige Points.

![]() |

I'll take a Custom Order boon, please! Also, Kellan is going to buy hexes with each of her two chronicle sheets... she'll get the starting hex A and hex B2. Buying B2 gains her an extra Prestige point and Fame point on the most recent chronicle sheet. :)

![]() |

Kludde, yes please for the land grab chronicle. I will go ahead and purchase plot A immediately.

![]() |

Are we able to retroactively buy the plots. I didn't buy one but never used the PP from last scenario?

![]() |

I don't see why we couldn't, since each of the chronicles specifically lets us buy one plot of land. Hoarding the PP shouldn't make a difference for that.

![]() |

I'll ignore the land, I wanna save up pp in case I need to rebuild at a later date :D

![]() |

Congratulations Kellan!^^
And oh wow, at first I only noticed Kellan could get a boon! I'd very much like Ancestral Ally :)
I'll by the way also purchase hex slot B2.

DM Kludde |

Ilya, can you pm your email address, so i can fwd those details to the vc for the gameday?

DM Kludde |

Tyler, I'm pretty sure I have your email address somewhere, but I just can't seem to find it. Can you pm it to me again?

![]() |

So, am I able to retroactively buy plots of land or am I S.O.L since I didn't buy the first plot after level 1?
If I can buy both, I would like plot A & B2 please.
If I can only get one, then I will start with A

DM Kludde |

'You may purchase one plot of land with this boon'. As I read it, you can do it anytime after you obtained the boon, the only limitation being one plot per boon. You can get both A and B2.

![]() |

level 3 day job: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13

DM Kludde |

Didn't you already roll day jobs before (on Dec 15/16)?
