So...you didn't cross anything out. Do we just get to choose from any of the three Champion of Time options?
Also, given the "Mr. Potato Head" nature of characters who haven't yet adventured past 2nd level, could we potentially apply the Champion of Time bonus to a character we've already made, but hasn't gone past 3 experience yet?
Third, did I happen to identify a magic item whose caster level meets or exceeds mine in this adventure (Dark Archives Faction Objective)?
1. When I played it, my GM gave it to me open-ended too. The text suggests that the "Defender of Time" is the most appropriate for this table, and a stricter re-reading of the scenario bears this out. I won't declare which you have to choose, but "Defender of Time" seems a good choice anyway.
2. That question is above my pay grade, but I would guess so. A quick forum search did not reveal an answer (nor did I see the question asked elsewhere).
3. Let me review. After reviewing the posts, I don't see a post where you attempt to identify any magic item, let alone a level-2 one. I don't recall that any of your foes carried anything that powerful.
