I'm good either way.
Edit: Re: Vin Diesel. As far as I know, he's pretty staunchly D&D, though that might be a public thing because of the brand recognition. He definitely was a 3.5 guy.
I really need to save that info on my work laptop. I'll get it from Herolab tonight when I'm home, before running off to see Star Wars ;)

Sorry Torrin. When I was filling out your Chronicle I already wrote in J R R T-o-l-k-I-e-n. Got my celebrities confused. Nothing a little white out can't fix. :)

I did have a suggestion for Torch to let us off with just the 3 tasks if we were causing such a headache, but apparently I just "previewed" instead of "posting"
For the taxes, I was thinking that either: we use anything other than the staff to pay the taxes, or Korasu scales the wall invisibly.

I am assuming that each of the four lights of Dancing Lights spell casts light equivalent to a normal torch, which would create normal light to 20' radius and dim light to 40' for normal vision.
So in current light at half normal range, that is 10' radius of normal light and from there to 20' radius for dim light. Low light vision would be same as the normal torchlight for normal vision.
I re-sized the positioning of the dancing lights so each light falls on an intersection of grid-lines. At the current positions, both ends of the amphisbaena are in normal light.
The Dancing Lights spell has a duration of 1 minute, so Toorin will recast it the round before it would normally expire. Please indicate if that point is coming up at least a round before it expires. Thanks.

The next few days are going to be somewhat busy for me at home, much less so at work so it sort of balances out ;) I'll be around either way, except maybe Christmas Eve.

Sorry I just read this. I did miss that and I apologize. It worked out as your were in the first tier of Initiative. Marked it going forward.
Session reported, chronicles late tomorrow or Monday. Still some RP left so don't bail on me just yet.
Part 2 won't start until either after Christmas, or after the 1st.
GM_TheBobJones
Game has been reported, let me know if there is an issue with anything. We will use the same threads for Parts 2 and 3 so I am not going to deactivate them unless we decide to put a hold until after the new year.

Chronicle looks good, but would it be possible to write "3rd check of treasure map boon" pointing to the day job result? If it's too much of a hassle just let me know and I can write it in myself.
Also, level 5! Woo!
I have a slight preference for putting things on hold until the New Year. My daughter is off from school right now, so posting will be patchy at best for me until then.
Korasu

I'm good with offering a scroll with an attempt to Diplomacize, or paying as needed. GM, do you think Mahu would count towards the "Recruit a named NPC Scholar, Archaelogist, or similar figure to join the Scarab Sages? (will likewise have a real post later, the question of whether it counts will factor into the post, though :)) I suppose I could recruit Ionacu, but Mahu seems more interesting.
Also, after New Years is fine with me, or whichever works for the group

Nice work as always John!!
Everything looks good on the chronicle. I will be erratic, but available throughout the holidays, so I am good with waiting. Best to have everyone on board and fresh :)
GM_TheBobJones
So 1 for after the new year, and 3 doesn't matter. After Christmas I will see what my schedule looks like and go from there.
In the meantime - had of bit of Carpal Tunnel flare, but added to your Chronicle Xull :)

After the holidays is fine by me, really enjoyed the game and looking forward to the next parts.
Have a good one all!

I'm OK with either start date but the sooner the better.
It was pretty cool being able to get through the whole scenario so fast. My other PbP games often drag along. Good work on everyone keeping up with the posting, particularly John.
GM_TheBobJones
End Part 1, Part 2 actually begins right now. I will post some more in the days to come about routes and time and such as it makes a difference. Feel free to interact with Torch, we can rp as much or as little as you want. Update your characters, make purchases, ect. If I see things slowing down I may make this inactive.
I hope now you see that you can't go back and sabotage Torch. Ionacu Lozar's caravan is long going and you are now in a race to the locations on the map.

I'm fine taking a break until after the New Year if people need to, or resuming as needed.
GM_TheBobJones
Warpac Enough people have expressed an interest in holding off so I am going to post the introduction and some discussion for all you on Jan. 2nd.
In the meantime, please make sure to update your characters and taglines. Please let me know of any statistical changes to your character.
Anyone else want a Stardust Chronicle? I have Pooka's and Warpac's done. You just have to indicate which boon you want, the Guiding Stars or the Starkissed Sand.
Hope everyone had Merry Christmas.

Thanks GM!
I will have Pooka ready to go this week. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Hope you had a good holiday time everyone, Amarok hasn't gained a level or anything and not really enough gold to buy anything from his shopping list.

I'll pass on the boon.
Korasu leveled up from GM credit over the weekend. I'll finish updating his profile tonight.

Should old adventures be forgot
Trapped within our minds?
Will all our stories be for naught
Our journeys lost to time?
I raise a toast to all my friends
In person and online!
I'll treasure all our memories made
For auld lang syne.

So my plans changed somewhat - no pressure, post when you can until the 3rd then we are back full time. Unless you want to, and then full steam ahead.
Navigating the Desert
Grandmaster Torch’s route takes the PCs through the Osirian Desert and into the region known as the Sahure Wastes. Although the PCs begin the adventure with sufficient food and water to travel to and from the ruins, their principle challenge is time, for their rivals have a
significant head start. As Torch has told you
So your options are as follows:
- Torch’s route allows the PCs to reach <>, and doing so requires nocheck.
- If the PCs wish to travel more quickly, they can use mounts - So long as all of the PCs have an overland movement speed of 40 feet or greater.
- If the PCs wish to travel more quickly, they can take shortcuts. Doing so requires three successful <> Survival checks. There is a chance for 'failure' so no taking 10.

Sweet! Back atcha. Happy New Year all!
As for the next adventure, I am around and can post regularly going forward.
Toorin has a horse, but skill monkey that he is he has no ranks in survival (default is +1). Does everyone have to make the survival check or just someone? He can aid with an even chance of success.
Edit: It seems everything that went before happened in one day and we are still on that day. For the purposes of preparing spells, will we be starting fresh in the morning?

Happy New Year!
Xûll is now updated. Upgraded my nodachi and leveled up to 5. I now have improved uncanny dodge, so cannot be caught flat footed (at all) and cannot be flanked! Woo!
Chose 'reckless rage' as my level 5 feat (better power attack, take another -1 / +3 while raging and power attacking).
Also, my movement rate is 40ft. Is there any advantage to me buying a horse (ie. is it better the higher our rate is?).

"I tend to leave off praying for one of my orisons in case I need something special. If we find ourselves in need of water I can gain an orizon that allows me to conjure water in 15 minutes. We should be fine.
I'm down for taking any shortcuts, but the whole riding thing - well, you will have to teach me or I can buy a cart though I don't think that will work very well in the desert. "
I sense a chase scene coming. If you can think of anything to delay pursuit or the like, we should buy it. Speaking of which...
Warpac will pick up a couple of bags of Caltrops while he is shopping.
It does not sound like we will be travelling in a caravan so make sure you have food, water, camping gear. Odd. Usually a PFS game makes all that stuff irrelevant. Am I overthinking this?

I apologize for the delay!!! I'll have my poop in a group here today.
Korasu

I got Korasu updated and bumped up to level 5 with some GM credit. I also purchased a Jingasa of the Fortunate Soldier and used 4PP to buy a wand of Longstrider and a Scroll of Daylight (two casting)
I can buy a mount if I need to, though I have a feeling with Amarok leading the Survival checks and everyone assisting we should have decent luck on those ;)
Warpac

I do believe buying scrolls with two castings in PFS is illegal.

Pretty sure it's legal per this FAQ.

I'm glad I chimed in on that. I had not realized that if the spells were all the same it would be allowed. Very nice to know!
Pooka Bladespinner

Just couldn't get to updating Pooka today like I had hoped. Pooka will chip in to purchase water, or scrolls of create water. Heck - could probably purchase a wand of create water for the economy of it. (375 for 50 casts)
I think I will also get a wand of endure elements with 2pp. I am a little bit surprised at how often it seems to come up, so I think it will be worth the purchase, especially since Pooka will be wanting to cast it on Luna as well anytime he casts it on himself.
No leveling up for me, so other than making sure I am properly equipped for a trek through the desert, Pooka is ready to go. I'll get the profile and gear properly taken care of this weekend.
