Woah, Tomoe! You got nine words out of Mike.
I could only manage two! ;)
Mike, it must be useful to be able to observe unbiased public play-throughs of your work.
From some of your comments on these boards, when you were seeking feedback on Mud Sorcerer’s Tomb from an actual play-through perspective, I assume you use these observations to help improve your design skills, which then flows through to your next piece of work?

Hehe, that´s the job of this character^^
And thanks for the correction Mike! I´m no native speaker and i had some problems with that many s somehow. Also in that case a bit of narcissism is quite healthy i would say.

Thanks, DrGabe. I really like your patient and relaxed GMing style.
No Day Job for Eadie.

![]() |

Thanks for running as always, Gabe
day job: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

Apron on, face smudged with flour where she’s wiped her hand across her face, Eadie stands beside Lore comparing the gnome chef’s efforts with her own.
“Really, Lore? If I mess up cracking an egg, I’ve got to get all of the tiny bits of egg shell out of the mixture?”
“But doesn’t leaving it in, give you a nice, crunchy texture?”

![]() |

lol...*facepalms*

Grim strolls in, tankard of ale in one hand.
"Mmm something smells might good. What have you ladies been cookin? I am always happy
to offer my services as a professional taster. Although, old Grim has yet to find a dish he didn't like. Hahhhhrrrr!"
The portly dwarf lets out a belly-laugh, but does not stop trying to get into a position to steal a taste.

![]() |

Lore offers Grim a deep spoonful of her latest concoction, a tasty gumbo with a hint of bourbon in the sauce. If he likes it (and he should!), she offers him a full bowl, followed by a lovely light lemon cake (with no eggshells, despite Eadie's assistance.
"Now it's not actually served on a trencher this time, so the dish itself is not edible." Lore gives Grim a broad wink and laughs as she serves him.

We are coming into summer and the lemon tree in our front yard is overladen with fruit. Lemon cake, lemon slice and lemon cordial are all being made.
“Oh that smells fantastic, Lore!”
Eadie prepares a refreshing finger bowl for Grim.
She slices up a lemon and fills an Issian crystal dish with cool water. She adds a slice of lemon and places the finger bowl on a lace doily in front of Grim, before turning away to ask the priestess …
“Lore, do you want a glass of wine if I open a bott … OH NO GRIM, DON’T DRINK THAT!!”

![]() |

"He won't drink much, Eadie. He'll stop as soon as he finds out it's not alcoholic. And a glass of wine would be perfect with this, though I'm sure Grim will prefer good dwarven ale."

![]() |

*Ouch* Gabe. I hope it's not too painful for you.
Do you know a good doctor that does house calls? ;)

![]() |

Ooo nasty, DM. Take your time. Hopefully you're better soon.

![]() |

ouch... take care and type as slow as you need to, we'll wait :)
too bad Lore can't just cast a CLW on ya and heal you up

Eredax- I need your PFS number.
Since this is Season 5 and the reporting is somewhat different, let me take a moment and explain how it works.
First it makes a difference who you primarily sided with- Captain Passad or the dwarf Metella. You sided with Passad. This makes a difference later in the year from what I hear.
Primary Success Condition: you liberated one or more captives. +1 Prestige Point
Secondary Success Condition: You must meet at least two of the following criteria- prevent the cleric from escaping; don't let the demon report you back to other demons; convincing the sisters of your cover story. You got one of the three, No extra Prestige Point
Faction Notes. Not all factions have a story. In this scenario only Osirion, Grand Lodge, and Qadira had stories.
Grand Lodge- complete both primary and secondary success to earn Crisis Averted.
Osirion- discover that the Diamond Sage was last seen in Azir (this was a roleplay moment, easy to miss and hard to GM without giving it away. I didn't like this one). Diamond Trade Boon.
Qadira- Deciding who's trade was more important, the Captain or Metella to earn the Expanding the Trade Network Boon.
I hope you all had fun. If you had any questions please post them here.
Also- I'll be running a game again real soon. I'll post here first since you guys will get first grabs.
Thanks!

Thanks for running Gabe - it was fun. I look forward to our next game... I'll be watching the thread for updates!

![]() |

Thanks for the Chronicle, DrGabe. I definitely had fun.
Any idea what you might run next time? I have had a quick look over what everyone has already played and am a bit concerned that there may not be any 1-5(7) Tiers in the later Seasons that we can all play.

![]() |

I've already played the second and third levels of Thornkeep, unfortunately, so Ruprecht would have to take a pass on that one...

![]() |

I've got a character in lvl 2 of thornkeep already, so I'd have to pass on that too.

![]() |

Surely* there is something we can all play?
I have (slightly modified) this list taken from another thread:
Tier 1-5 (7)
00-02 Hydra’s Fang Incident
00-04 Frozen Fingers of Midnight
00-07 Among the Living
00-08 Slave Pits of Absalom
00-13 Prince of Augustana
01-30 The Devil We Know Part II: Cassomir's Locker
01-41 The Devil We Know Part III: Crypt of Fools
02-17 Shades of Ice Part II: Exiles of Winter
Of course, this is all highly dependent on what DrGabe wants to run.

![]() |

Among the Living and Slave Pits are the only ones I have played from that list.

![]() |

Grim, my hand has healed over pretty well. My pride was much deeper wounded though! Stitches come out next week and I avoided infection which I was worried about.
Thanks all for looking into more scenarios. I am definitely wanting to run again. The only catch would be that I will want to run something with the new (no) Faction mission/rules. (I know that they are compiling a transition list, not sure how far they have gone back right now).
While I have run Modules in the pass, I'd like to not run them in an online game as they tend to drag on far too much.
That being said, since you all are so eager- just pick one and I'll run it. :) I've either played or GM'd about half that list.

![]() |

I don't think I've played any of those, so all are good by me.

![]() |

DrGabe, I’ve just downloaded and done a title search through the PFS Secondary Success Conditions Document located here.
All of the scenarios in the list appear to be included, so the new rules for judging the success of non-Faction Missions are all there for you!
I also like the episodic nature of PFS scenarios compared with modules. Glass River took about two months to complete.
It’s early November now. I’m thinking we should try to get the next scenario done before Christmas. Does everyone agree?
If so, Season Zero can run faster, especially if everyone can commit to 1-2 posts per day on week days. I think dungeon crawls also tend to run a bit faster than more open-ended scenarios.
As such, I propose 00-13 Prince of Augustana, though I’m not wedded to that one, if someone prefers another one.

![]() |

good with me too!

![]() |

But I really enjoyed playing with this group, and one or two posts per day is not tremendous... :D
Yay!
We just took a Season 5 sub-tier 4-5. (with the 4 player adjustment … but still.)
Alchemists weren’t invented in Season Zero. hehe
I’m also guessing there may be fewer fire resistant beasts in a Season Zero. hehehe
We have five or six players (is Tomoe playing?) between tiers. With our party balance and teamwork I would vote to take the challenge of 4-5.
I would also like to hear what DrGabe thinks.

The big unveil.... mustering for PFS 0-13 The Prince of Augustana is here!
LINK
Please go to that thread and muster.
Remember that as active players, you will get preference when dividing out for the tables.
Eadie, thanks for the link. I get 'em all now so the GM's hard work is nearly already done! Thanks for pointing me in that direction. Good call on the scenario, it should be fun. It will likely go fairly fast as well. Though American holidays are coming, and tend to slow everyone down a bit.

Honestly, in between i don´t know where my head is.
Complex systems theory is just that, complex. Then add in several other theories, especially system theory above all else.
Thanks for the game though! It´s highly appreciated.
Did you join the PbP game day? There is the oportunity to run several games there. Players would have the chance for a boon then and you would get a GM boon.
