Alia has a highly illegal lawn dart.
As to the link, right click, 'loop'.
In order from left to right on the map, the kobolds are currently named: black, dr gray, lt gray, and white to differentiate them only. They themselves all have black scales. Black and light gray are prone on the ground.
Inspire courage +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls.
Conditions normal light within 30 feet of Zokon's sunrod, and 20 feet of Scarlet's torch, with dim light out twice as far, otherwise darkness.
Medium creatures are squeezed for space. Squeeze Each move into or through a narrow space counts as if it were 2 squares, and while squeezed in a narrow space, you take a –4 penalty on attack rolls and a –4 penalty to AC.
Scarlets's former space is full of caltrops.
Round 6 We are technically still in combat because there is an obvious enemy nearby who knows the group's location. Playing fast and loose otherwise.

Scarlet is fine after healing caltrops wording says so - This movement penalty lasts for 24 hours, until the creature is successfully treated with a DC 15 Heal check, or until it receives at least 1 point of magical healing.

RPGGGM |

TRUE 'NUFF!! I suppose the number in the chart is if you are just using the heal skill instead of your mutant healing magic. One of these days they're going to put all the rules in one place and that's the day that place will catch fire.... And like that Celyne is saved from life as a podiatrist!

RPGGGM |

As to that link again. Close window....

Scarlet Scarab |

"Oh, that feels good." Scarlet picks the remaining shards from her feet.
"I'm doing pretty well, Alia. What's up with you?"
She cuts another kobold down (the other gray one?)

![]() |

Numalar is only 5 feet off the floor. If he climbs 5 feet and hangs it's a climb check DC 5 and then he'd be standing the floor when he let go. If he's in a rush and just wants to drop, he can drop, but with a distance of 5 feet there's no damage if you land poorly except that you land prone.
Oh, sweet. For some reason I thought the "side view" squares were 10 feet... which makes no sense.
Numalar watches the far side of the chasm for activity.
"Are the kobolds all right?" he calls to the others.
Readied action: If he sees any more mites in the next 3 rounds he will let fly with another bolt of snapdragon fireworks. After that the spell will be over.

Zokon will take a few seconds to retrieve his dart(s) and then look across the chasm .. what is on the other side.. wide/small etc cramped as usual?

RPGGGM |

Ten to fifteen feet before the edge of the ravine, the cave dips down requiring a Climb check to move through. The other side mirrors this with a sloping tunnel leading up on about the same level that the cave the heroes are currently in.
Aside from hanging from the roots in the ceiling over the ravine itself (Climb DC 5) the rest of the observable area is cramped for medium-sized creatures.

Zokon Santyev |

Zokon turns to the others
"I'm going to do something I don't like and suggest someone else go first, because if they get mugged by mites I can support from this side of the ravine.

Poshment Underhill |

** spoiler omitted **
I'll give Nums some room, and press on tomorrow, but in the meantime....
And Posh you've expended 5 total rounds of performance (1 in the tunnels above, and 4 down here).
Just to keep track I believe that's 6/13 rounds of performance to those who are able to hear.
Posh will maintain his performance, finding that as the best use of his time as he doesn't believe he has any skill with the blade.
Oh I LOVE what's been happening so far and I'd be VERY disappointed if answered came immediately. For example, I remember part 2 has the statue that Alia is possibly looking for, however with how much you've changed I can't rely on player knowledge if I wanted to ;) Also it's kind of genius how what happened with Raven leads to Posh's suspicion around Numalar since he came back to life in these lands, much like he believes Raven must've not to mention the strange things the party has already seen in these lands is making him more suspicious and terrified that there might be somekind of evil power hiding out here.
Posh will most likely not go looking for his companions, believing all of them to be dead...apart from the girl he viewed more as a daughter/younger sister than anything romantic who he was confident was safe and will remain safe as long as she never tries to track him down... ;)
Afterall, the plan was to escape and keep moving over the country, but in some ways the last place someone will search for you is right under their nose so perhaps he'll never be noticed, though i know Pitax gets aggravated in one of the last books, but that doesn't prevent the appearance of assassins or gangs of thugs hired to find and kill Posh for escape, murder and stealing items from the royal treasury.
The last two being pinned on him as the murders he did were of common folk and not of any interest to the self-styled barbarian king that people laugh at behind closed doors as to not lose their head. That being said about not wanting to connect to anyone, he might see if the spymaster could send out people to find some information on him or if that person he saved is living a good life.

Alia of the Blade |

Alia watched as the others unbound the Kobolds.
They had fought against some not so long ago, hirelings of the Aspis Consortium, so she felt somewhat uneasy with several of the species being untied behind her back. But these seemed unarmed and wounded...so not too much of a threat, hopefully...
@Celyne: I think one of the Kobolds fell silent rather recently. A stabilize or three may go a long way towards saving their lives...which, if we intend to help them in some way or form, would probably be a good idea
Better to keep focuse on the tunnel ahead, Alia weighs the cold iron dart carefully in her hand, ready to throw it at any Mite presenting itself as a Target. And would maintain that action until we are ready to move on.

"I'm going to do something I don't like and suggest someone else go first, because if they get mugged by mites I can support from this side of the ravine.
"Do we have rope? I don't like the idea of crossing that without some kind of safety line."

Scarlet Scarab |

Am I still caltropped?
Keeping her torch out, Scarlet pulls out some rope.
"I will cross first. Then you guys can hang on to me."
climb, fatigued: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
climb, fatigued: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

RPGGGM |

Am I still caltropped?
No. You are caltrop-free thanks to Zokon actually reading all the rules.
So retrieve rope (move action), and climb the roots across one-handed with the coil in the other (technically not possible), or did you mean to climb the rope? If so, to get it to the other side you will either need to climb with it and toss it back for someone to tie it down, or if you have a grappling hook, you can toss it across, and then cross on the rope.

Scarlet Scarab |

Maybe I'm not understanding the terrain here. If there is a cliff, Scarlet plans to climb down, then back up. If it's so deep we can't see the bottom, then Scarlet will jump across instead. Once she's across, she'll toss the rope across so other party members will cross.

RPGGGM |

Posh will just not stop talking for rounds 5 and 6 anyway. Did you want to climb down while you were at it? We'll call it round 6 for performance's sake.
Numalar stands guard just inside the flat part of the cave before the ravine.
Zokon, Alia can sort of cover people crossing. Mites attacking from the roof of the ravine would have between 'total cover' to just plain 'cover' (along the exposed edge of the ravine closest to your side--closer than that they are open to your ranged weapons) as the cave the party is in drops off the closer you get to the ravine. In fact, both would have to be kneeling to have any shot at all. Someone with a musket, or crossbow would have a clear view.
Maybe I'm not understanding the terrain here. If there is a cliff, Scarlet plans to climb down, then back up. If it's so deep we can't see the bottom, then Scarlet will jump across instead. Once she's across, she'll toss the rope across so other party members will cross.
Ah, that would be an option not listed above. Let's start here though, before pulling the rope, Scarlet picks her way toward the edge--requiring a climb check (DC 5). The walls look as inundated with roots as the ceiling across the gap (Climb DC 5, across the top of ravine, or down to the bottom) When Scarlet reaches the edge she looks down, and sees the chasm is only 20 feet deep.
Scarlet is within it's threatened area. Because of the angle, Scarlet is currently the only one capable of seeing it. The creature has the 'compact' monster ability (it's shaped like a snake, so it can fit down here much easier than a normal Huge creature could).

RPGGGM |

Celyne goes to each of the prone kobolds and casts stabilize on them...
Okay, stop there. That's step one. Stabilize has a range of 40' for you, so I'm going with you targeted it the same way you targeted your cure light wounds rolls starting with the black-bordered one. The spell returns an illegal target warning. There aren't really any rules for what happens when casting a spell on a target that is ambiguously illegal, but for the sake of speed that's how its working here and now. Likewise dark grey is also illegal for purposes of the spell. The spell finally fires off on the light grey boarded one. That's your standard action you still have a move.

RPGGGM |

Correct assumption, sadly this is the downside of a vanilla bard at low level...my 10th level Bard in PFS is a Soundstriker/songhealer with many spells that usually mean she has something to do no matter the situation.
Not precisely true. Any character even a first level commoner can contribute, even if it is only as a source of witty banter, group hit points, a flanking buddy, an 'aid other' friend, dispenser of knowledge, or even just someone who keeps up with the rest of the party. If you're waiting for 10th to be effective in a 3rd or 4th level adventure you might want to reconsider your growth track. I've played a vanilla 2nd-level elf bard with a Charisma of 14 who just last week hit third level (her first cleric level possibly eighteen). She is spec'd to be an okay cleric (Wisdom 16) but, I wanted a Calistrian cleric with some style, and social skills (things clerics never have enough of)--a sacred hetaira. I wanted someone familiar with the game of houses. I play her on the boards in Pathfinder Society games were many elven wizards have charismas and strengths of 7 just so they attain eventually intelligence scores of 34. By all min-max sense she is underpowered. She multi-classed into two casting classes that get 3/4 BAB, has no "dump" stats with the possible exception of constitution 10, has no stats above 16, and elves don't even get good racial mods for either class she's in. Still she does something with every action that is given to her. It might not have always had a huge effect or even been effective at all given the randomness of dicebots, but she aided the cause and even occasionally moved herself around on the map. Hint hint. She is good at social interaction, but adventures where that is the focus are few and far between in PFS. End slight rant.

Alia of the Blade |

Target: one living creature
Geez, I wonder what could have caused that "illegal target warning' - maybe they are not creatures? Hmmm.
@Do something: What GM said. The "wield a reach weapon and assist for AC" seems a popular and simple course of action. I mean, everybody can wield a spear. It was the most popular weapon in human history for a reason - I know you MEANT more specialized options, but regardless, it's something to do that helps the group effort :)

Currently Celyne's first stabilization spell could only target the light gray bordered kobold indicating the two previous targets (black and dark gray) are not living creatures anymore. There hasn't been time for a second standard action since your last post because we are still in combat rounds, so no curing has happened yet. In summary, you are confident that 2 of the 3 kobolds you checked are dead. The last is still unconscious, but stable. The white bordered one still on the wall over the slope leading to the ravine's condition is still unknown, though unresponsive.

The red-zone (that liney bit of terrain 10-15 feet before the edge) is for climbing only. There is no two-weapon fighting in a red-zone.
I'm going to go with the assumption that Scarlet set the torch down back in the cave before sliding down to where she is and is now holding on with one hand to the wall and swinging away with the other. She (and Zokon, Celyne and everyone else of Medium-size) are still hunched over because of the low ceiling (-4 attack and AC). The ravine (either standing at the bottom of it, or dangling over the edge of it) is currently the only bit of map where everyone listed would not be.
Scarlet lashes out with her sword, but even her back-swing misses the mark, as the centipede quickly recoils its head like some monstrous viper.
From its current position, and because it is so long, and narrow the monster is currently not squeezed. It counts as medium-sized in tight spaces.

Let's go with if you are Small and there is about half or better a square of floor space you can stand there. Smaller spaces leave you squeezed.
