As the rider approaches it is apparent all is not well.
"Oh. *huff, huff* hiya *huff, huff*. Gimme a sec to catch *huff* my breath." She pulls a long drag from her own waterskin before pulling out a bowl from her saddle bag and pouring some for her mount. She dumps the rest over her head. "Whoo! Okay, I'm good. What did you say again? Charter? Huh, maybe that's what they're doing down there then."The wolf finishes its water and growls at the pink haired gnome.
"Right Vinegar. Manners. I am Squire Droo and this is my partner Vinegar."
Cyrielle looks at Posh, rolling her eyes, and turns to face the other gnome. "Well, Miss Droo, there's not time quite like the present. We've been assigned to explore south of Oleg's, and we're to meet up with a group of explorers to do so. Was it a straight ride the way you came to find them, or would it be best to continue down the road to the trading post?"
She glances at the wolf uncomfortably. "And why did you name your mount Vinegar?"

Fronar's and Zokon's unattended horses flee in a panic inviting attacks of opportunity.
By Macrathane's Rotten Left Testicle! Will we have to chase these horses every damn day? Better switch to some combat trained ones as soon as we can manage.
Numalar eases the horse 5' closer to Luna's position.
Move marked on map. Also I moved Fronar and Zokon's horses assuming they went the way that is most "open" (i.e. no other characters in the way). However that is only a single move so they are probably actually off the map.
Numalar scowls darkly, and his right hand bursts into flame. He hurls a ball of this flame at the spider that no longer faces an enemy.

Actually the eagle will be gone by then anyway unless you have a way to increase your caster level above 1. Duration of summons is only 1 round per level, so at 1st level they will only ever attack once.
Luna takes a full round of attacks on spider 2.

Numalar Auritonius

I thought the cat had to grab to get the rake, that's why I rolled it, but if not, then just the rake, without the grab
Probably the main time Luna would use the rake attack is if she begins the turn grappling someone. There may be times when you want her to grapple. It also means it is a VERY bad idea to grapple her.
But you don't get the rake with a normal set of attacks. Luna already has 17 max damage (2d4+1d6+3) from attacks without the rake so this is no hardship. Between Luna and a summoned creature (eagle with 3d4 = 12 max damage) you can potentially already do the most damage of any party member in one round.

OK, I'm starting to lose track here, so I am trying to do a bit of recap.
Round 0 (surprise round)
Giant Spiders - attack - Zokon's horse is hit for 2.
Luna - Charges #1 but misses
Celyne - keeps horse under control
Zokon - shoots at spider #1 - hits for 8
Round 1
Numalar - burning hands against #1 for 7 damage
Giant Spiders #2 hits the horse again for 5, #3 hits Fronar for 5
Luna - hits #1 with 2 claws for a total of 8 - spider #1 dies
Celyne - starts casting summon
Fronar - draws weapons and moves to flank #2
Zokon - moves and hits I think spider #2 for 6
Horses - RUN!!! Zokon's horse is hit again with an AoO for 6 (only has 2 hp left I think)
Round 2
Numalar - uses produce flame but misses
Giant Spiders - both miss
Luna - moves and hits #2 for 6
Celyne - summons eagle that hits #3 for I think 5 and readies x-bow
Fronar ?
Zokon - attacks and hits for 10.
Horses (probably keep running)
So by my reckoning we are waiting for Fronar. Is that right?
Zokon declared that he was attacking #2 but Fronar might kill that one first, so if so I assume he will be allowed to switch to #3? He is flanking both #2 and #3.
Celyne has already posted actions for round 3 but they will probably need to be re-done since things will have moved around.

Zokon feels his eyebrows to see if they are still there.
LOL!
"Good Zokon, your eyebrows were too bushy anyway. But no time for that; time to get your bow out. Looks like one of our horses is surrounded by more of these mounds. I can't see the other horse."
The horse I can see - is it Zokon's or Fronar's? Zokon's was badly wounded so I might be able to tell the difference. I also assume I can't see any spiders. How many more mounds are there?
Numalar looks around warily, looking for more spiders or other movement. His flaming hand is held high like a torch, ready to blast the first thing he sees.
"Selbina's Tears! I do not like the look of this. Come here girl, come on now." Numalar calls out to the horse, making a clicking sound with his mouth that he has heard other horsemen make.
Riding animals are taught the come trick, normally the DC would be 10, or 12 for a wounded animal, but I'm guessing there may be modifiers here. Trying it anyway.

RPGGGM
Slightly before "meanwhile" along the South Rostland Road.
Wild berries and humming birds seem aplenty along the edges of the road whose former grandeur is apparent. The Taldan of antiquity had built it to last but now the brick edges have frayed and loose cobblestone are aplenty in the shallow drainage ditches to either side. Grass and wild flowers grow amid the cracks--taller away from the central path with shows some modern use. From the road you can see the beautiful and perilous rolling plains for miles around. The land itself was obviously once tamed but has grown wild and dangerous again. Its wind swayed grasses beckoning you to leave the road and walk through them like as you might have as children upon a family farm marveling at nature's vastness. But with the storm brewing on the horizon, the plains to the southwest seem a windswept sea full of hard tors and high stones, and the siren grasses that hide dangers undreamt of in their depths.
You come upon a copse of trees lining the road. At one time, much of the road was flanked by such ornaments, most are long dead, and those that were left closed ranks in places like this. They, like the land rest of this place seem to have reverted to their primeval selves and now form a sort of half open cave through which the road leads. No birds sing (nor hum) here. There is only the wind, the grass and the leaves.
Cyrielle, Posh, what are you doing?
Numalar Auritonius

Numalar dismounts, and hefts his spear. He looks around at the others and prepares to advance towards the horse.
"While it would probably be best to eliminate these creatures to spare others this sort of fate, I have no particular grudge against them, and frankly, if we can retrieve Fronar's horse I am happy to quit this place without needless battle. I fear though that Zokon's horse is likely now dead. Zokon, was there anything vital to you in the horse's tack? Do we need to recover it?"
If we are going to engage these spiders I'd probably prefer to do so while produce flame is still running which means it will have to be quick; there were 9 rounds left when combat ended.
Zokon Santyev
"Yes several things that i'll not be able to replace easily out here and a compass specifically especially vital for our exploration. We will also want to check the holes of the spiders we have and may kill as they may have useful gear in them."
RPGGGM
No idea if we've met up just yet. the two of us would run into the group together I'd assume.
You and Cyrielle are on the road to Oleg's (sounds like a Crosby and Hope movie) from Brevoy. They are in the plains to the southwest. Your timing is not quite in synch yet. Technically your bit of the group is about an hour or so ahead in game time. You are very close to one another (relatively speaking) but have not met yet. You would assume that you could all meet up at the trading post, but you just heard from a gnome on wolf-back that other chartered explorers are nearby. Now what all of that business about giant spiders she was spouting was, I have no clue. ;)
Cyrielle Rousseau
"Y'know, Posh, I've been thinking. I know that's dangerous, but still, I have. Now, that gnome said something about giant spiders, and if that other chartered group finds some, they'll either need saving or get all the glory to themselves. I bet they're somewhere south of here. You want to see if we can find them?" Cyrielle looks south into the distance. "Of course, those stormclouds are pretty ominous too..."

Cyrielle and Poshment spot the band they think they are searching for on slight rise ahead. The group seems to be trying to summon a horse to them from the other side of the vale.
The horse snorts, kicks at the earth as if not trusting it but relents to patiently beckoning Celyne. It nervously approaches her.
It is eagle eyed Fronar however who notices the danger first, silken tripwires cast amid the rough foliage collecting leaves and dead grass--and the vibration of prey. Luna too seems on edge. The horse steps upon one of these strands with immediate result--a much, MUCH larger spider emerges from earth. In the blink of an eye it bears down on the horse!

For the record, Numalar's initiative bonus is +5, not +2, thanks to his feat (Noble Scion of War). Edit: actually it looks like several initiative scores got mixed up; Zokon should be +4 and Celyne should be +1, unless you are adding modifiers.
Also, it will be a while before my round comes up, but, is produce flame still active? Or is it gone at this point? There were 9 rounds left when combat previously ended.
@ Zokon: You don't take the -4 penalty for shooting into melee if you can shoot at a square occupied by the target that is at least 10 feet away from your ally. The near corner of the spider is 10 feet away from the horse so you should be good.

The shot clatters across the beast's chitinous hide and the creature instead concentrates on subduing its current prey.
bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
The horse suddenly stops its struggles, and lies still. The spider drags it to its den and drops it is when like a bolt of lightning Zokon's arrow pierces its abdomen down to its fletching. The spider hisses and seethes in pain, its primitive black eyes lock on the party with undeniable hatred.
Guessing where the beast is heading, Fronar, very quickly nocks another arrow hoping that together the group might be able to bring it down before the enraged, buffalo-sized monster tramples them beneath its eight, thickly plated legs.
shortbow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 arrow: 1d6 ⇒ 4
This time he hits!
