Zokon's fist, and spikes connects with he mite's skull. It's like punching a particularly ripe, but frozen pumpkin with similar effects.

Hmm, caltrops doesn't say it's considered difficult terrain, so I can make 5 ft steps? If not Scarlet will stay put and swat these two down and risk taking damage.

Technically if you are swinging from that square there's the risk you take damage from a caltrop ("spends a round fighting while standing in such an area" - It is implied you shuffle about while fighting), and unless you are Posh or Numalar (or a mite) there aren't any 5-foot moves in this low-hung cave.

EDIT Lemme know how you want to roll. Map updated with new, tasty caltrops--an important part of everyone's breakfast.

Across the gap (for those who can see that far) a shadowy little figure another (orange bordered) mite in an adjoining tunnel begins shouting at the top of its lungs.

Moved you down to ground-level. You might use guidance on Alia or Zokon as both are armed and ready, while Scarlet, who you are also sitting next to is armed, but is hobbled by a caltrop in her foot.

The dart hits the mite in chest. It clutches at the wound. It staggers, and sways in a half-swoon crashing into walls, the back of one hand against its forehead as it moans, and soliloquizes in some unintelligible jabber.

Seeing this the last mite in the room trips him, and squeals in delight as he falls dead to the ground.

The last mite standing in the cave grabs onto the roots overhead, and retreats across the ravine.

That seems a bit longer than the round would allow. 30 minutes x 10 rounds per minute, I'll need 299 more intimidation checks. ;)

Moving Alia back half a step because She's at the point she would have to make Climb checks again, or slip off into the ravine.

Just checked. By the chart it is 10 minutes.

It looks as though you can use the network of roots in the low ceiling to climb across (DC 5) just like the mite did, if not as fast.

Celyne very carefully moves 5' out from under the shaft so one or both of the gnomes can finish climbing down, and she touches Zokon with guidance as well.

What did you think of the additional story info I sent you? Thought it would be interesting to give a face to the people Posh escaped with, some dying on the way and really dragging his soul down with regret.

I like how things have been going with the campaign so far and I am not only interested in Posh's side, but want to know more about things that'll be happening with Alia and Scarlet, especially as Scarlet and Posh have an understanding of doing dirty work and that he consoled with her too a bit about his past.

Got the PM, read up, and there's space for it all. Much of Posh's thread is tied up with Pitax, and Pitax is a ways off I'm afraid. Stuff will happen well before that, but final answers to big questions are a ways off. Eventually everyone's backstories will get a little light, and be woven into the stew--or at least that's the plan, but its on a catch as can basis for now. (i.e. Raven showed up in Restov because, at the time, that worked well, and then you informed me she was dead, something that wasn't in the original backstory, but that's fine too in a world with raise dead ;).) I'm going to try to get to as many NPCs in people's backstories as I can, but be aware it might be a while before you see some people, unless Posh specifically wants to go looking for them--which there will be more time for between books--especially when you guys are laying the foundation for the kingdom-to-be. It is a sandbox after all. That said, the next planned for PC who's getting the 'This Is Your Life' treatment is Scarlet--though there might be a tangential surprise for Numalar and Alia before then.

More importantly, I hope your important stuff turns out alright.

I'll give Nums some room, and press on tomorrow, but in the meantime....

The last mite in the room has scurried across the easy-to-climb roof to the far-side of the ravine. Note too that the tunnel near the edge slopes down enough for a few squares that you would have to make climb checks for those as well. What do our heroes do?

Numalar is only 5 feet off the floor. If he climbs 5 feet and hangs it's a climb check DC 5 and then he'd be standing the floor when he let go. If he's in a rush and just wants to drop, he can drop, but with a distance of 5 feet there's no damage if you land poorly except that you land prone.

The first kobold Zokon cuts down falls limb. None of them seem responsive.

In order from left to right, the kobolds are currently named: black, dr gray, lt gray, and white to differentiate them only. They themselves all have black scales.

Numalar's snapdragon spell hits the mite dead on, blowing it to pieces, in a terrific display of lights and sound and accompanied by a chorus of ooos and aahs from further in the cave. The last visible mite disappears inside the cave mouth.

10 minutes for what?, taking 10 takes no time, taking 20 takes 20 rds, or 2 min, I can see 2 stds,, so 2 rounds, but 10 mins???

It takes 10 minutes to treat the reduction in speed caused by caltrops. See heal chart. I imagine it takes a lot of taking boots off, plucking, wrapping, and so on.

How did I miss that there actually IS a fusion

Anyway, I'm not pressing on alone, so probably picking up one of Zokon's Cold Iron Darts, which basically takes up her action

Seeing the Mites be fascinated, rather than intimidated by her swordplay, and actually standing around and swaying in the rhythm until Numalar comes up and blows one of them right up, causing the other to flee, Alia snaps back to the here and now, too. Expecting more of them down there, she rushes over to one of the mites and pulls free the Dart Zokon threw at it:"You ok, Scarlet?"
