Just FYI, the last post on this thread and the gameplay thread will need more attention than I can give it right this second. Will properly post tonight.

So, new website is a bit tough to read still. Hopefully the improvements will continue to come, but in the meantime:
* If you include a link in your post, please note that in OOC (as it's hard to tell now) -- either at the end of the post or next to the link if it's already in an OOC area, such as the spell you're going to cast.
* If you send me a PM, please let me know. I don't get enough that I expect to check all that often, but without any sort of note, I may otherwise not realize they're there for a while.
* I'm hoping they'll fix the font as right now it's giving me a headache...

Hey, guys, it looks like someone keeps bumping up the font to 36 on the survivors. That makes it really hard for me to read and work with. Please don't do it.
Also, I'm going to update with some of their classes based on gameplay action. I've got a long-ish post coming, I think -- just need to let my eyes rest a little, as this new website's definitely hurting me.

Yeah, that was me.
For some reason, the doc window was TINY and I couldn't get it to adjust. The whole control-scroll wheel trick did NOTHING. The version I could see stuffed about 8 lines in the same height as the site shows the profile pictures. I was putting it to 36 pitch to blow it up enough in that tiny window that I could read it. At all.
Now it is resizing normally. <shrug>

Just wanted to share that my first Campaign Setting work for Paizo is finally out!
I contributed the write-up of the Formidably Maid for Inner Sea Taverns, which was released on Wednesday.

Cool!

So, Knowledge checks: I find it works best if you guys tell me here what default facts you'd like to know when you make your checks (i.e. DR, special defenses, special attacks, special qualities, immunities, resistances, etc. etc.). Then I'll let you know results based on your rolls. Obviously you can let me know when you make your checks if you want something different.

Just a head's up that I'll be leavin' on a jet plane to go see my wife -- for I think the last time! (Hopefully last time I'll have to take a jet plane to see her, that is; I hope to see her again, more frequently starting in June).
I'll be gone -- and probably not posting at all March 10-20 -- plus sometimes need a day or two to recover from jet lag at the end of that. I also sometimes slow down in the preceding work as I set up all my arrangements/do all the chores I need to do for while I'm gone.

Aramis Ekerton |

Advanced Warning: Tomorrow is both of my children's birthdays, so I likely won't have time to make a post. Also, this Saturday is their birthday party, so I probably won't be able to post that day either.
Thanks!

Another Scout camping trip. This time with the troop, like is supposed to be normal. Going back to the site with no cell coverage.
My allergies are hitting me hard enough I want to just crawl into a ball and do nothing. All the boys can't get there unless I drive.

Fulgun Dregg |

Dude, I feel your pain. I grew up in the Scouts and camping is still one of my favorite hobbies, but good golly do my allergies wreck me. That's entirely why winter camping is my favorite. I don't mind freezing my toes off so long as it means my allergies don't leave me in a walking coma.

I'm sorry for the posting delays everyone. My job occasionally requires me to appear in court. The prep for that, along with the time spent being there, adds up to a very big chunk of time. It's about the only time I have to take work home with me.
I had to go at the end of this week, and now I'm sick with a fever. Hopefully I'll be getting back to normal tomorrow, but today I'm just sleeping.
Go ahead and bot me as needed of course.

Okay.. I think I have everyone with a decent job. It's updated on our chart. Obviously, I didn't include any PCs in that list.
@ GM: let me know if I have too much of something, or not enough of something else, and so on, or if someone's not good at their job as we go.
Updated Job List in case anyone's curious:
Magic and Religion
- Aubrin's our religious guidance, and leads sermons. She can heal and magically protect the refugees, and can also mentor our two adepts (Habbly and Aretta)
- Habbly and Aretta are adepts who will train under Aubrin. They can use their magic to repair damaged goods and keep what little equipment we have functioning. When not using their spellcasting for the refugees, they'll need to help out whoever seems to need it most at the time.
Food and Supplies
- Jet oversees our provisions, and the cooking.
- Phaistea helps Jet in her duties, helps with the cooking and distributes water to everyone
- Persephone, Farrow and Clidon can scavenge for food with their survival skills
- Lirosa and Taidel can hunt for food
- Oreld can scavenge for ingredients and craft one object a day (either antitoxin, a single poison, or a tanglefoot bag)
Animal Husbandry
- Skeldra will look for stray sheep
- Yasha and Mithrielye tend to the sheep
(If Skeldra, Yasha or Mithrielye want to shuffle around which of them looks for the stray sheep, or they take turns, they can)
Shelter
- Terey and Ellel with make shelters for the group. Their son, Symond can help them with random tasks
Protection
- Elrik and Drugan are our main guards. In addition to keeping watch (on different shifts) they can mentor the other's assigned to keep lookout/guard with them.
- Aleynn, Harthi and Folke can keep watch/lookout alongside either Elrik or Drugan, and hopefully learn to be more than just extra eyes along the way
Thoughts and opinions?

This work flow should be good for the short term, but food could become a concern if you keep everyone on full rations. I think this will probably be yet another subsystem that just doesn't work super well in PBP, so I'll keep track of things and let you know how they're going generally if that works.

My daughter obsessively adores rabbits, and she's thrilled to see this one fist shake at the hunters post mortem. Haha.

So, I can't get attacked by a bear trap without thinking of the movie Severance. So funny! Although, Aramis isn't laughing...

I just found out my neighbourhood won't have power tomorrow, so I won't be online. Bot me if needed. Thanks!

Hey, guys. My power's going to be on down again tomorrow. Hopefully this is the last time. Thanks.

Clover Cynosure |

Sorry my posts have been sparse lately. I've had a hectic couple of weeks, without much time or energy left over for posting. Things are getting back to normal now.

Barhador |

Hello.
Common message for all the games I was participating in:
I know I vanished without warning. Trust me, it wasn't planned. My wife had a new medical condition flare up, and I've been going to work, doing my job, coming home, doing bothe her chores and mine, taking care of her because she's had extermely limited mobility, taking care of her service animal, covering chunks of time that she had pledged towards watching our grand-daughter, and then still trying to keep up with my existing Scouting obligations.
I was suddenly very busy.
She's been better the last couple of days, so I've built the time to craft this message and distribute it. Today she started having a reaction to the medication that was helping her be better, so that bodes poorly. She also has a procedure tomorrow that is part fo the continuum of care for her problem (as required by insurance companies), but her doctor doesn't think is actually going to address her cause. He said tha's another 3 procedures down the list, but the insurance won't approve him skipping down the list or trying multiple things in quick succession.
I want to apologize to everyone for the impact my real-life has had on your entertainment. You at least deserved to hear from me sooner, honestly.
Now you know why I vanished. And why I don't know if my availability is actually going to get any better in the short term or not.
I've really been enjoying this game. It is one of the two or three I would really like to try to stay in, but I don't think pushing for that right now would be very fair to the play experience.

Aramis Ekerton |

A few clarifying questions as I'm assigning NPC gear:
- What class is Edran?
- What weapon are the commoners trained in? Can I choose for each? (Please? Haha.)
- Since they had bows when we met them, can I assume Lirosa and Taidel each have their own longbows and some arrows left? If so, how many arrows? (I assumed they had a longbow but no arrows)
- Were Lirosa and Taidel wearing armour when we found them? (I assumed they did not)
- Can I assume Barhador and Elrik have whatever gear they have and leave it at that? I haven't gone into their character sheets to look around or anything.
- Does Aubrin have any gear or equipment on her? And is she capable of swinging a sword yet?

There's now a section of the treasure tracker which shows what gear each NPC has, as well as our basic camp supplies.
Since no one wanted the climber's kit, Aramis is carrying it. If anyone decides they want it, let me know, otherwise she'll just share it with the group whenever it's needed.
@ GM: Do any of the NPCs worship Desna?
@ GM: Our treasure list shows we have 59 Provision Points. Any idea if that's accurate? Should I be tracking that, or will you? I assume you, since I don't have any of the rolls for our hunters and scavengers who look for food each day? Let me know! And if I need to be tracking it, can I have the roll modifiers for our hunters/scavengers please?
...I think that's it.

motteditor RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16, RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16 |

Sorry, all, for my slow responses at the moment. We're at a section of the AP that's got a lot for me to handle. I'm also finishing up a turnover tomorrow, so hopefully will have a little more time after that.
As for Aramis' questions:
- Class? What's that? Edran says he's a traveler.
- Most of them can use daggers, though some use clubs.
- Yes, you can assume Lirosa and Taidel have their longbows, and a dozen arrows each. Each also had padded armor.
- Yes, I think that's fair to assume with Barhador and Elrik.
- Aubrin is still recuperating and likely needs another three or four days she's sickened and moves very slowly (10 ft. speed). Er, it looks like Aubrin actually has a lot of gear, which we can say she had on her, but was too hurt to realize how useful it was. :) She has oil of magic weapon (2), potion of cure light wounds (5), scroll of cure moderate wounds, scroll of delay poison (2), scroll of protection from evil, antitoxin (2), healer’s kit, holy water (2); +1 armored coatUE, dagger, longbow with 20 arrows, 15 cold iron arrows, and 5 +1 arrows, mwk longsword, mwk quarterstaff, cloak of resistance +1, backpack, flint and steel, flask holy symbolUE of Cayden Cailean, jug of mead, dented tankard, 97 gp I guess we can say Jet grabbed it during the flight from Phaendar, as she probably didn't really have it on her, but you can probably use some more resources.
- Yes, I'm sure several of the refugees worship Desna. If you really need me to figure out specifics, I can. :) Otherwise, assume 8 of them do.
- I think 59 Provision Points sounds accurate. Rolling for the hunters/scavengers is on my list (and part of what's taking me so long!).
Again, sorry, and thanks for your patience all. I've mentioned I'm a big believer in momentum, and I want to get ours back up.

Got it! Thanks! I shuffled around the NPC gear slightly, left some of Aubrin's consumables as camp equipment, and will take some of her consumables for the players to use. As for Desna, we have a butterfly carving so I just wanted to give it to someone who would appreciate it. I'm giving it to the kid.
@ Players: I shuffled around the NPC gear slightly, and left the camp with some healing supplies for when we're not with them (healer's kit, antitoxin (2), scroll of delay poison (2), potion of cure light wounds (2)). The following items can be claimed by some of us, and if no one wants them, I'll leave them in the camp's gear: Oil of magic weapon (2), potion of cure light wounds (3), scroll of cure moderate wounds, scroll of protection from evil, holy water (2)

Clover Cynosure |

Yeah, thanks Aramis!
Clover has all of the scroll spells on her spell list so she can take those if Aubrin is willing to hand them over. Clover could take a vial of holy water too. We could carry one oil of magic weapon just in case.
Maybe front liners should each take a potions of CLW?

@ Clover: Just making sure you added the scroll of protection from evil, scroll of cure moderate wounds, a vial of holy water, and an oil of magic weapon to your gear list. I noticed they're still on the loot sheet, so I'm not sure if you recorded it on yours yet. I'm removing those items from our unclaimed loot list now. Thanks!
@ Group: We still have an unclaimed oil of magic weapon. Who wants to carry it?
