The bows are both +1 shocking, the armor is +1, and I'm sorry, I must have failed reading class at some point, but it is scale, not chain. The wand is a wand of enervation.
Vars, as you fly above the tree line you see that the path does indeed end at the north end of this clearing. There are a succession of clear areas heading to the east and then curving around to the north. There is a large tor of black stone to the northeast of you.

After traveling roughly 1.5 miles you come to a T in the road. Again the north-western road appears to dead end at the jungle and the sour-eastern road curves around to the left.
Strangely colored blooms proliferate in this glade of massive vines and fleshy trees. The air is thick with a strange smell, like honey boiled in pig fat.

being as my only experience with play-by-post is Academy and Iron Medusa with you guys, perhaps it'll be interesting to see a more "typical" pace: clicking on one those links that are always at the bottom of these posting pages, I came across a module that I played in one (long) day -- these guys started over two years ago!

As the path leaves the clearing it quickly turns due east then just as quickly turns again to the northeast.
A twenty-foot-wide path has been cleared through the dense Abyssal jungle. The trail is clear, but the twisted vegetation on its edges regenerates at an alarming rate, threatening to overtake the roadway in the near future.
You see a huge creature with nine heads swinging a massive scythe to clear the jungle that is threatening to overgrow the path. Trailing behind the monstrous creature are nine giant crawling hands, each leashed with a thick chain and dragged like a dog.
