Garrath, if you can deal with the last one up there. Brandark says, as he steps on the cheifs body moving to support Stone and Elektra, and then brings his axe down on the goblin on a dog.

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

Garrath grins wickedly, swiftly putting away his greatsword and retrieving his hammer. He looks up at the goblin, and growls out "This ends one of two ways. Drop everything you have, or... He looks pointedly at the goblin's head that's mashed into the post, and then back at Ripnugget as he swings the hammer at the post.

Round Six Completion
Elektra gives Stone the Diviner's Touch. Stone receives a momentary understanding of what is to come.
Kelvin pulls out a Curative potion and quaffs it down.
Round Seven Actions
Stone attacks the Goblin on the Goblin Dog with his Scimitar and then tries to bash him with his Shield. The little cretin managed to avoid both attacks.
As Brandark climbs over the bleeding body of Chief Ripnugget, the Goblin Dog bites at the Dwarf.
Goblin Dog AoO Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 51d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
It was more like a pointless growl.
Brandark's return blow at the Goblin Dog was almost as pointless. :)
It actually took both Brandark and Garrath's blows to bring down Ripnugget. That and Kelvin's previous strike. He had some HPs.
Garrath meanwhile strikes a blow on the post with the last Goblin Commando up a post.
Goblin Commando Reflex Check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
The Goblin Commando fails to hold on to the post as the mighty blow begins to splinter the wood.
Goblin Commando Fall Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8
The Green post holder lands face down upon the ground.
The little green vermin tries to stand up.
Garrath gets an AoO on the Goblin Commando. (#4)
Goblin Commando on a Goblin Dog 3 Ride Check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
The Goblin Commando on a Goblin Dog (#3) fires an arrow at Stone.
Brandark, Elektra and Stone all get an AoO on the Goblin on the Goblin Dog (#3)
The Goblin Dog tries again to bite the Dwarf.
Goblin Dog Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 221d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Goblin Dog Bite Confirm Crit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 31d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Brandark took 6 points of damage and needs to make a Fort Save. Since Brandark gets an AoO on the Goblin on the Goblin Dog (#3), then go ahead with your Save roll too. Also, will need Elektra's and Kelvin's Round Seven actions. Thanks. I think we are nearing the end of a cool little battle.

Garrath will then hold until Elektra takes a step back, and swap with her.

GM Mazra |

Round 7.5 ;)
Brandark does not have any ill effects from the Goblin Dog.
The dander from the Goblin Dog is not a poison effect. It is an Extraordinary ability.
Elektra gives the Diviner's Touch to Brandark.
Kelvin tries to bluff the Goblin that just fell from the post (#4), but the Goblin was too dazed from the fall to notice. He then sends an arrow toward the Goblin. It sails over the prone Goblin.
As the Goblin on the Goblin Dog (#3) fires an arrow at the shortest of the Longshanks, Stone slices into the little green cretin. Brandark misses his swipe with the axe.
Wincing in pain, the Goblin manages to shoot off an arrow. But the arrow just bounces off Brandark's armor.
Goblin on the Goblin Dog 3: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 5 - 4 = 121d4 ⇒ 3
The Goblins and the Goblin Dog in the pits fruitlessly try to climb their way out.
Puzzled, the Goblin Dog on the other side of the pit still continues to stare down at its Rider.
Start of Round Eight
Stone beats up on a Goblin Dog slashing deeply into the beast with his Scimitar and battering it with his Shield.
Goblin on the Goblin Dog 3 Ride Check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
As the Goblin Dog falls the Goblin slips and lands on his butt. Goblin 3 has the Prone Condition.
Since Stone has already dispatched the Goblin Dog, I will say that Brandark's attack was aimed at its fallen rider.
Brandark chops up the hapless Goblin as it struggles upon the ground.

GM Mazra |

The Create Pit Spell will last for 4 Rounds. It started in Round 5, so should end in Round 9. There is one element of the Spell I have not been using. Anyone in a square next to the pit must also make a Saving Throw. I did not force a Saving Throw on either Stone or the Goblin Dog on the other side. In the future, I will try to remember to do so. Had Stone fallen into the Pit with the three other foes, that could have been interesting.

Brandark Plainswalker |

Cannonball. :)
Looking over his shoulder, My thanks lady Elektra
Brandark then looks back to the pit edge, and rocks back and forth waiting for the spell to end.
Stone if you could move back.

![]() |

At the start of round 9 I believe the pit will still be there till Eletra's turn so Stone will fire at the goblin in the pit then move back.
Attack : 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 121d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 pluse hight bonus if applicable

Brandark Plainswalker |

I would, but I didn't call ahead, and I doubt that the goblins in the pit would appreciate me just dropping in. :)

GM Mazra |

Round Eight Completion
Garrath holds his actions, to change places with Elektra. He will then ready again his Greatsword.
Elektra misses the prone Goblin, then backs up.
Kelvin sends an arrow across the pit, hitting the Goblin Dog (#2). It lets out a loud whelp. Then the Goblin Dog turns and runs out of the stockade, the arrow protruding from its side.
The Goblins and the Goblin Dog in the pit continues to try and claw their way up the sides, but they make no progress.
Round Nine Start
The Goblins look up at one of the Longshanks as he fires a bolt down into the pit. But the Goblins were just too dexterous and were able to avoid Stone's Crossbow attack.
Stone had the first initiative, then Brandark, Elektra, Garrath, Kelvin, and then the Goblins. The Create Pit spell will end on Elektra's initiative. I would say that is an effective spell.

Brandark Plainswalker |

Round 9
Brandark waits for stone to back up, and the pit spell to end.
As soon as the spell ends, Brandark will move up to attack the first one he can
attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
damage: 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Another deep sigh, due to RNG hate. :(

Kelvin Fleetwood |

Longbow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 271d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 -- Threat
Longbow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 202d8 + 2 ⇒ (8, 8) + 2 = 18 -- W00t, confirmed!! 23 total
As the pit ends and the creatures trapped in it rise back to ground level, Kelvin takes careful aim at the front goblin(#4) and sends an arrow into its head, killing it.

GM Mazra |

Since everyone was waiting for the Create Pit spell to end, I think we can alter the initiatives somewhat.
Round Nine Continued
Kelvin indeed explodes the head of a Goblin (#4). The remaining Goblin (#2) is horrified as pieces of bone, blood and brains splatter upon him.
Elektra gives Brandark a touch of a Diviner's knowledge.
Brandark, with this extra awareness, steps over the body of the just slain Goblin (#4). The last Goblin Dog is confused by all that has happened. The Dwarf Cavalier slices into the beast. It lets out a terrible pained howl.
Garrath will notice that both the Goblin (#2) and Goblin Dog are reeked with fear and ready to run.
@Garrath- The mop up is yours.

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

Garrath strikes the goblin dog first and then with his quick reflexes tries to finish them off.

Round Nine Completion
Garrath moves up on the frightened creatures. He first strikes down the last Goblin Dog. And as the last Goblin turns to run, the big Shoanti Barbarian's Greatsword tears through leather and skin killing the little Green cretin.
The Stockade is yours! You are now Fouth Level.
The remaining rooms off the throne room do not have combatants.
(Room C20) This foul-smelling butchery is a horrifying affront to all the senses. Haunches of poorly smoked meat hang from hooks along the ceiling or lie heaped in and atop crates. In some cases, the meat seems to be dog or horse, but in many other cases, the meat has all-too-recognizable features, like feet, hands, or grimacing faces.
(Room C21) This room contains a small armory of crudely made weapons (mostly dogslicers and shortbows) and several small goblin-sized suits of studded leather armor and dented shields. To the south stand a pair of workbenches.
(Room C23) Several rugs made from dog or horse hide lie strewn over the dirt floor of this room. Against the north wall stands an impressive collection of horseshoes, each nailed to the wall. To the east sits a ragged padded chair next to a rickety desk that may have once been an expensive antique. In the northwest corner sits a canopied bed covered with silk sheets and sporting an elaborately carved headboard that features nymphs and satyrs cavorting in a forest. The bed’s sheets are stained with dirt while the headboard is bashed and battered.

The party can raise level in every way except what might be acquired from a shop, like a new Wizard spell. You will need to rest to regain and add spells. Roll HPs in the Discussion threads. Remember you can reroll if you roll a "1" one time.

Brandark Plainswalker |

Brandark with walks back into the main room, and with a swipe, removes the head of both the boss and the warchanter in the corner.
Ah that should be the last of them for right now
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Hey look at this, Brandark holds up a symbol

Brandark Plainswalker |

I think we should go down the back stairs.

Brandark Plainswalker |

Where what goes to ?

GM Mazra |

I have edited the XPs Talley Link. I have also put it at the top as part of the regular Campaign links. It now includes most of the treasure found to date for this section of the adventure. It does not have the stuff the Goblin Druid had because you have already distributed that treasure. It would take some time to gather all of the items listed, including searching and stripping Goblin bodies. However, I would think that Ripnugget and possibly the Warchanters you would want to search quickly. There are items that will be found on the bodies that may help in making the decision as to rest or move forward.

Brandark Plainswalker |

Once again thanks to the Dawnflower Brandark comments.
Lady Elektra, can you determine if any of the items in the room are worth keeping ?
As he drags the two warchanters over to the body of ripnugget.
And the gear with the bodies. :)

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Garrath takes a few deep breaths and calms himself. "A rest would not be unwise. I could use the rest."
Rage is just about done for the day.
