Goblins say You be Food
One of the Female Goblins (#4) steps from her Harem room swinging at Brandark with a Dogslicer. The blade of the Dogslicer rings off Brandark's armor.
Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 191d4 ⇒ 2
Another Female Goblin (#5) aims its Shortbow at Brandark and fires. But the arrow careens off the Dwarf's armor.
Shortbow: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 5 - 4 = 181d4 ⇒ 1
And finally the last Female Goblin (#6) also aims its Shortbow and fires at the shortest of the Longshanks. But that well-placed arrow also careens off the Dwarf's armor.
Shortbow: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 5 - 4 = 191d4 ⇒ 2
That Dwarf is hard to hit, 17, 17 and 18 and none penetrated through the AC.

Reminder of the initiative order, Garrath, Brandark, Kelvin, Bugbear, Elektra, Harem Goblins, Podthickle and finally Stone.
Round One Summary
Garrath rushes down the stairs and engages a fat ugly female Goblin (#2). He cuts a wide swath into its green flesh with his Greatsword. It dies.
Brandark follows up with an assault on another of the female Goblins (#3). The Dwarf’s Waraxe cleaves into green flesh and stained silk killing yet another Goblin.
Kelvin moves into the room and fires an arrow at one of the female Goblins (#!). It falls unconsciously onto the floor, green blood pooling around the wound.
The big Bugbear moves into a hallway and fires an arrow at Garrath. It sails way over his head skipping harmlessly along the ceiling.
Elektra reaches the bottom of the steps and shoots at the Bugbear. The arrow sticks into his leathery hide.
The remaining Harem Goblins attack Brandark with Dogslicer and Shortbows. But nothing was able to penetrate the Dwarf’s hardened armor.
Podthickle stays close behind Elektra.
Stone moves into the room and Blesses the party. Everyone gets a +1 Morale bonus to hit for the next 40 rounds.
Round Two
GM Mazra
That is what you meant by that! I just thought you meant "one" instead of "none". Sorry about that.
Retcon Round One
Kelvin sticks an arrow into the big Bugbear. By the end of the Round he will have two sticking in him.
Harem Goblin (#1) steps up and attacks the big Shoanti man with its little Dogslicer. But the timid female Goblin just moves the air around a bit.
Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 41d4 ⇒ 2
EDIT: Brandark gets an AoO on Harem Goblin #4
Garrath Tricks the Giants
Garrath grins a tight jawed grin, and steps over the goblin he just stabbed and pulls his head to the side as the arrow goes speeding by. "That was your one shot. You missed, now you're finished!" He snarls as he swings his greatsword down on the bugbear.

@Garrath - It is 5 + Opponent's CMD to avoid AoO. Goblin CMD is a 12. So that is a 17. Plus, at this moment there are two Harem Goblins. This adds a + 2 to the check for a 19. Both get AoOs on Garrath.
Harem Goblin 1 with Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 111d4 ⇒ 1
Harem Goblin 4 with Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 151d4 ⇒ 2
The same Harem Goblin (#1) that moved air around continues to move air around as Garrath passes her. Another Harem Goblin's blade (#4) touches Garrath's skin.
Your DR avoids any damage.
GM Mazra
Round Two Start
Garrath passes a couple of Harem Goblins reaching the big Bugbear. His Greatsword slices into the Bugbears flesh, severing the necklace of Elven Ears. It falls lazily to the ground.
As another Harem Goblin (#4) steps over a fallen Harem Goblin, Brandark cuts into the brave but foolish female Goblin. It falls unconscious to the floor.
Actually this would have happened just before Garrath's action. But no harm, no foul so moving on.
Brandark moves into the Harem room, dozens of ratty cushions, lumpy pillows, and rumpled dogskin furs lie heaped in the south half of this chamber, which smells of a nauseating mixture of vinegar and rotten flowers. Brandark brings his Waraxe down on another Harem Goblin (#5) rendering it unconscious too.
The Middle South door is kicked open and a ruggedly handsome human with a somewhat rigid look upon his face moves in and swings at Stone with a large Bastard Sword. He carries a large shield with an equally rigid face upon it.
Bastard Sword: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 251d10 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
He cuts into Stone with his big blade. Stone takes 8 points of damage
Still have Kelvin, Bugbear, Elektra, Harem Goblins, Podthickle and finally Stone in this Round
GM Mazra
Round Two Continued
That shot will do it! Kelvin will put down the Bugbear. He lies unconscious on the floor.
Elektra cast True Strike on Alaznist's Ranseur.
Seeing the Bugbear fall, one of the Harem Goblins (#1) drops her Dogslicer and puts her hands up.
After seeing Brandark take down three of her sisters, the other Harem Goblin (#6) drops her Shortbow.
Podthickle, looking at the actions behind Elektra, will exclaim in his broken Common, "Please don't kill all the women."
Stone cast Hold Person on the two-faced human.
Orik's Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
The Human is held in place.
Victory again!
Another very quick victory at that. You have a Round before the Human gets another save.
Brandark Plainswalker
As the odour finially makes it's way to Brandarks brain and things are not activly trying to kill him, he starts to gag slightly inside the room.
Out . . Out He starts to chivvy the last upright goblin out of the room, and once clear, he removes his helmet and spits.
Ptaw. . that room is foul
Brandark Plainswalker
My bottom, why do you want to see my bottom ? Brandark inquires of Elektra shortly after he comes out of the harem room.
GM Mazra
First you bind him.
Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Then you remove his weapons and shield.
Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Then you strip him down to his skivvies.
When he comes around, the now one-faced Human will look at the party, "What happened? Oh," he says with a sigh. "It looks like my luck hasn't improved much," he shakes his head and looks down.
Kelvin will note that his Common has a strong Riddleport accent.
Brandark Plainswalker
While the others start to question the now stripped man, Brandark starts to collect all the weapons, and then ensures that the Women are disarmed, and bound.
this also includes the armour and weapons off the bugbear
Once everything is gathered in one location. Stone, can the dawnflower let you know if any of these have an enchantment? indicating the pile of equipment.
I expectt this to take about 5 minutes and can be done while they are trying to get info out of the bad guy
Podthickle
Podthickle will look into a room off of this main room. (D3)
You will hear strange crying coming from it. You thought the odor was bad in the Harem room. This is the nursery. And there are six Goblin babies crying in the room.
Podthickle will look at the party, "If you let me take the women and the babies, we will leave Thistletop never to return. I will teach them not to eat Longshanks," He will look at the party smiling.
@Brandark - I will update your treasure list a little later. Thanks!
Stone the Blade of Sarenrae

SM: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Stone will look at thicky very closely and says I know this may sound silly but I believe him
Stone also cast detecte magic on all the stuff
Brandark Plainswalker
sense: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Podthicle, let me make this clear to you. If you have lied to us, I will hunt you down, and you will not like the result.
However, I don't know about the others, but I for one, would rather you just left
Elektra Stardancer
Sighing Elektra nods."They might be a threat, but killing little ones, even if they are goblins is beyong me. But now to you young man. Well maybe your luck has run out. Maybe, because you are still alive. Now.. how about you try to improve it again. By playing a waterfall. Now! Tell us all you know about this area and we might spare you the short fall and sudden stop. Heck we might even throw in some weapons and armor! As far as I know, you haven´t attack sandpoint."
Podthickle
Podthickle will bind the wounds of the unconscious Goblin women. He will instruct the other two to carry them. The Goblin women respond to Podthickle obediently. Then he will go and gather the young ones. He uses strips of cloth to create harnesses to carry multiple children.
"Podthickle not lie. Podthickle promises to teach not to eat Longshanks. Podthickle has own Harem now," with that and a big grin, the Goblins lumber up the stairs and leave Thistletop.
Orik of Riddleport
The young man looks up at Elektra, "You're those Heroes from Sandpoint. I visited Sandpoint once. It is a charming town. I was uncomfortable with the Raid, but Nualia needed something from it."
He will notice the party's impatience and continue, "The hallway behind me has bedrooms. There is no one else back there at this time. To the west is a Temple of Lamashtu. Creepy place! I have been in it once. Don't really care to go into it again. There are these Monster Dogs guardian it. There are some caves North of here. They say there is a critter in it. I have not been in the caves. North of the temple are some storage rooms, planning area ands a small library. By the way, try not to kill Lyrie. She's a dark skinned lass helping Nualia decipher all the strange writings found below. I have not been down below. Nualia only lets Lyrie down there. They say there is some kind of strange creature they are trying to set free. Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. But Nualia pays in Platinum. And I needed the coin."
Kelvin Fleetwood
Kelvin just shakes his head as the group lets the goblins go, mumbling to himself I hope we will not be sorry for this.
Knowing that he is not the party spokesman he just sits back and listens to the others question the human. He keeps his eyes open and his ears cocked for anything that is unusual.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28 - and he hears the gnat in the next room pass gas !
Elektra Stardancer
"Well we might spare her, it will depend on her actions. We should clean the temple first than take care that Lyrie can´t help this Nualia. And then we take care of her. What shall we do with you?"
Brandark Plainswalker
You may be good in a fight Brandark pauses That is what we are worried about
He then takes the rest of the group a short distance away I would rather not have an possible enemy in our midst, but I don't want to let him go.
Nor do I feel comfortable with killing him outright. Shall we just bind him here, and leave him in the Harem room ?
Brandark Plainswalker
That might be a better option, how about the rest of you ?
Stone the Blade of Sarenrae

SM Check : 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
I don't know if we can trust him but I do agree that we only have the two options. And scenes killing an unarmed and helpless man is not something I wish to be apart of. Let us keep him with us toward the front. If he fights with us great if not we kill him. In fact is ther a way we can tie his legs or hamper him?
Stone will walk over to the prisoner and ask him.
What assurances can you give me that you will fight with us? Before you answer know you're life depends on your answer.
Intimidate Check : 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
SM Check : 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 For his answer.
Orik of Riddleport
"After fleeing a crime boss in Riddleport, I went down to Magnimar. There I met Nualia. She was looking for bodyguards. And she was paying in Platinum. I was down to a hand full of silvers. Plus have you met her? I mean before the Demon arm thing? She is an Assimar, so beautiful. I was captivated. But now I know it was yet another mistake. I have been trying to get Lyrie to leave with me. But she is so wrapped in all that Thassilonian stuff. With you I may be able to convince her that working with Nualia is wrong. I have no loyalty to Nualia. I'm tired of making mistakes," he sighs. "I can help."
You sense that he is sincere.
Brandark Plainswalker
Still a bit away from Orik.
Stone, I agree that we cannot just kill him outright, but I do not agree with letting him have weapons.
we can bind him and bring him with us, but his equipment should be forfeit for attempting to fight with us.
Stone the Blade of Sarenrae
|
Looking at the cut Orik gave him I understand and agree his stuff is ours. But if we do that he will become even more of a problem. Because we will have to keep a gard on him even while in a fight. I'm not saying I trust him but if he is a mercenary he will fight for what ever side is paying him. So let's cut him a deal we leave him breathing maybe even try not to kill this Lyrie person then he fights for us and tell us everything he knows about this place. In addition to that we give him some armer and a small weapon and keep him in the front. Where you can kill I mean watch him in case he try's something. If he proves useful or not we can change the conditions of our agreement. That being said if the party disagrees I will go along with another plan.
Brandark Plainswalker
Which is why I stated that we bind him.
However, if he offers his Parole to not attempt to attack us, I can see letting him have some armour and a small weapon to defend himself.
As for that Lyrie person, it all depends on their actions.
Elektra Stardancer
Taking out a pen and paper Elektra adresses Orik: "Orik of Riddleport, you have been defeated in combat by superior forces! You have fullfilled your contract. Do you wish to accept a new contract, going for one week, as military advisor to the party of the Sandport Saviors! If you accept, what are your monetary terms? And others? If you accept I will write down a new contract."
Elektra Stardancer
"I can life with that, if you accept last pick! We might turn everything into cash and split it later. BUT.... the others have to agree! Brandark, Stone, Garreth and Kevin?"
Brandark Plainswalker
I may not like it, but I can agree
