Man, and I thought you guys were just really good at the whole "Yes, and..." thing. :)
Just wanna throw this out there. Both the Silver shadows had kids late. and there has always been one active since 1947, meaning both silver shadows had a >30 year run. everything else in Apex's thing was more or less true (though, blaming him for that team is... debatable. there was a lot to blame for it.)
Oh yeah, he has a very skewed perspective and is happy to look for evidence that supports his conclusion rather than the other way around. I was trying to work generally in the framework you described but feel free to make a liar out of Apex.
Okay, so now that I've got a little space between now and the actual break up - here's where my draft was sitting. I'd assumed that the rising tensions between him and Skuld would push him to a go big or go home kind of place, and so in the middle of some kind of tension...
“Marco, I get that, but-
“Bronwyn,
I love you.”
[b]“Wow...”
Her brows knit in surprise, as a nervous smile started to form on his face.
“Marco..?
Slowly she raised her head to look in his eyes. His heart was in his throat.
”I don't- That's not how I feel.”
Her eyes glazed over with misery, but he could barely see her. Every part of him focused on those five earth-shattering words.
It wasn't the first time he'd surprised her. She'd known exactly what it meant when he asked her to the spring formal, but even though Mary-Beth had been teasing her about him and Eli for months, it was still a shock when he asked. ”Sure,” she had said, once she wasn't speechless, ”It's a date!”
“Wow...”
And dating him had been great! He was sweet, he was cute, he didn't give her a hard time (well, too much of a hard time) about her parents' rules, and she never felt pressured for a moment. He was kind of her perfect boyfriend. And she hadn't been looking, but it was really great to have one. You had someone to be happy for you when things went well, and to be a shoulder to cry on when they didn't.
But you didn't tell him when you got the spear.
“Marco..?
Marco fit in with her plans so well too! She wanted to get married, have kids, the whole thing. Not any time soon of course! But, when she thought about the future, one of the things she always pictured was her kids playing with their cousins, being spoiled rotten by their grandparents. And Marco was a nice Catholic boy, one whose family even got along great with hers already. And he was her friend. They were so good together. This was just the next step towards that future.
”I don't- That's not how I feel.”
But as she forced herself to follow the rest of the steps down the path she'd always planned to walk, she didn't want him to be there. He didn't fit in her mind's picture of her smiling family. There wasn't some other man, there wasn't anyone else who she could paste in in his place. Even her craziest ideas didn't fit in the frame, didn't go with the plan.
But he didn't either. That was all she really needed to know, for now.
I just wish I didn't have to hurt him
“Marco, I'm sorry.”
He took a deep breath through his nose, and started talking, a little too fast, “Sure, sure. That's - fine. You're not there yet. I get that maybe I was too fast, maybe I-”
“No. No, Marco, I'm sorry, it wasn't too fast. I just-” her voice broke as her eyes welled up with tears.
“Oh God, I don't know I just, I just don't!
"I don't want to hurt you, but, I can't anymore. I just – can't. I shouldn't be with you.”
His eyes were cold as he tried, hard, not to say what he couldn't stop thinking. “Oh my God. After all this- You're leaving me for Her.”
“Marco, no - God. I'm leaving you for me. I'm not looking for someone better, but, you're not who I, you're not what I want.”
She reached out to hug him. He endured it; he didn't turn away; he didn't push her back; he didn't move at all. “You're gonna find someone so great, who'll love you the way you deserve.
I wish I could be her, but...
Oh, I'm sorry Marco.”
He didn't, couldn't bring himself to take her arms from around him, so he just leaned away until she got the hint and let go. ”I can't be here right now, Bron. I.. I have to go.”
She nodded quickly, ”Yeah, I get it, I- Yeah.”
As he started to walk away though she blurted out, ”I really do care about-”
”Don't! I just, I know. But, right now, don't.”
Oh, and in bookkeeping matters - for my end of session move I'll grow into myself and go Freak +1 Danger -1. And I'm clearing Afraid (if that's okay) after the scene of literally running away from her feelings.

Not sure if Paizo has had a shoe shopping role-play experience before. That was wild.

Just clarify, just in case folks are not used to having such narrative control and GM who clings to the threads hoping not to get bumped off, you are allowed to create personal details and situations to continue the narrative, but anything pertaining to another character's narrative you should message them about it and discuss. Otherwise, things can get messy when characters are creating details about other characters. Just in case.
Did we lose Shadowboxer? Not sure if he just dropped off or is waiting for me to post.

If this is referring to the two exchanges between Bronwyn and me, that was a series of messages that we handled on another chat board, which we condensed into two posts. That way, it wasn't a bunch of one to two-line posts filling up the page. It might have looked like we were writing for each other, but we weren't.
If you were referring to something else, then I'm not sure what that was, but I'll keep it in mind.
Oh, its mainly for the new folks who haven't been in the game for two long. I thought it might be confusing when one character is creating text strings with seemingly now actual discussion, so to head off any misunderstandings, I just wanted to point how to handle personal vs other character details.
Shadowboxer had commented that he was going through some personal stuff last week, so I think leaving a path open for his appearance would be the way to go. Hopefully he'll be in a good place to rejoin us soon :-)
But umm.. timeline-wise. Are the first tremors hitting in the middle of these scenes? Have Silver Shadow, Jusker, and Apex managed to find anything out at the SCA or are they on the scene when officers start scrambling? Or..?
Definitely hitting mid-scene, as all catastrophes tend to.
As for the SCA, I'll post something. I was so enamored by the tension between Ninja boy and Dick Girl I completely forgot why they were in close proximity to fight in the first place.
EDIT:From my reading, it seems like the Jusker, SS, and Apex group were going to go speak to the kids, not the SCA. In this case, given the timing of my posts and what I've already put out there, I think its better that the catastrophe hits before they are able to track the kids down.
So, since my informed suspicion is that we won't be seeing a GM post til this weekend... but just wanted to drop in to say that I've started watching the new Netflix She-Ra and I couldn't stop laughing.
Let me tell you: Bronwyn is Definitely going to have some Opinions about a protagonist who uses a magic weapon to transform into an 8' demigod and has a 'fraught' relationship with a partially animal-featured girl brought up as a living weapon...
Oh. Oh, wow.

Definitely a Y7 show, but it's really charming.
And yeah, Adora/She-Ra starts off working for the (Evil) Horde (though not actual Skeletor).
Sadly Bron definitely doesn't play mobile games (look at one of the posts about her day-to-day life for why lol), so it's probably up to Silver Shadow or Apex to bring the changing source to light.
Yeah, same for Wingblade. The looks she would get from Whippoorwill if she wasted time on that...

Fiancee and I started watching She-Ra yesterday. It's really good!
Right?! I had had no intention of watching it, but I kept hearing good things.
Also, I know the campaign's in a finals/holiday hunker down mode, but no reason that should keep us from a nebulously-placed in the timeline semi-canon Secret Santa!

Still, Bronwyn's grin is infectious, so the Protege can't help but smile as she reaches into the bowl and pulls out a slip of paper. "So, I can only get something for whoever's on this paper? And they're not supposed to be able to figure it out? Okay. So, I guess no one is getting a high-end sports car, since that'll be kind of a giveaway. Right?" She looks at everyone with an apologetic smile.
She unfolds it, takes a glance, and stifles a laugh. "All right. This should be interesting."
"See?" She held out the bowl for someone else to pick, "It'll be fun!"
"It's not thaat bad if they figure it out, but uh, let's keep it to homemade or aim at no more than $20-30 if that works for everyone.
"Oh, and if you pulled your own name you have to put it back and shake it up."
