On a quick reread, that looks like everyone. Jusker "tried" to leave but didn't, Apex surrendered, Shadowboxer looks ready to fight, Bran's defending, and Silver Shadow and I are trying to talk them down.
Interesting to see what Default does with this situation...
Bran asked me to get Shadowboxer out, but Skuld really doesn't like to leave people behind to take responsibility for something she was responsible for.
My only question is the wind stronger than the foam, otherwise this will be a humorous experience. Still, I am with Wingblade, Default's response is going to be very interesting.
Side note, is this similar to containment foam from Worm, because that's what I was imagining.
Our GM is the reason I'm into Worm, so I suspect so.
God I wish Ward was as good.
Honestly, I've only ever read Worm, I haven't really touched any of Wildbow's other stuff. Good to know, I assumed as much but wasn't entirely sure.
Oh, Pact is WONDERFUL. I personally might have liked it a little more than worm. (1 caveat, I'm the kind of person who likes watching it all burn and everything go to hell, and the characters having to go on).
the only thing is, he was stuck in the GM-mindset, and he started about there, and did his trademark escalation. but it's vary good.
Twig is also good, just not... as good.
I like the antagonist of Ward better than the Protagonist... or most of the fan-favorites. just not for me I guess.

Regarding the latest post, given the quickness of the scene, and the veritable sweep up by Skuld, I've elected to leave most of your attempts to calm things down in the air. So regarding Silver Shroud's legal talk and Wingblade's provocations, you're not sure how much of that is going to have a lasting effect.
Also, will be implementing more GM moves in the future. Normally, I've given players a lot of flexibility and control over their character, but using Hard GM moves will force influence on certain characters, conditions as well. Just so it won't catch you guys off guard when I start to do it.
That sounds reasonable to me. I'm okay with that. If it makes for a more interesting story, I'm all for it.
At the end of every session, choose one:
• Grow closer to the team. Explain who made you feel welcome; give Influence to that
character and clear a condition or mark potential.
• Grow into your own image of yourself. Explain how you see yourself and why; shift
one Label up and another down.
• Grow away from the team. Explain why you feel detached. Take Influence over you
away from another character.
Also, new characters, to get the connections going, choose at least one other character to give influence over you. Whether they impressed you in that fight, or they said something that stuck with you for better or worse. At least one is required, but you may give out more.
I already gave influence to Skuld, Shayera, Bronwyn, And Kenneth. I guess Jusker should take it too. the barrier was pretty cool.
And I think she grows into her Image, specifically, she was useless at actual supering, couldn't protect or save anyone. but she was a useful investigator. so Savior down, Superior up.
Yep, I gave Influence to Wingblade and Bran.
Also I'll choose to grow closer to the team and clear Angry. Skuld helped me out of danger when she could've left me with the authorities, so she gets Influence as well.
Grow into myself-Lee was pretty helpful in taking down the robot, and was immediately targeted by the SCA. He definitely was useful in combat, but was pretty poor at engaging in the human element. Danger up, Mundane down.
I'm pretty sure Bran already has influence, but I definitely feel Wingblade also has some for her work in stopping the rocket arm. Bran was just a solid teammate, and earned his respect
Apex, would you be okay being Shadowboxer's rival? I'm definitely enjoying the back and forth interactions the two have had, and feel the comments have gotten under his skin. If so take an influence on Shadowboxer and I'll mark it down.
I think I'm still in the denouement of the session, so I'll hold off. Currently leaning towards growing into herself, but that could work out differently depending on how all this goes.
I'm gonna get a post up when I get home from work, but for right now, I'm going with Grow closer to the team, and given how they comported themselves, I'm going to give influence to the new people as well.
The "I've got one more idea" cliffhanger is revenge for "In all seriousness, probably Nothing Will Happen" isn't it? :-p

He's already got influence so he can shift my labels as appropriate. Also I'm going to clear Angry.

I think Wingblade is going to grow into herself. She survived a missile -- hell, kicked its ass -- so she's going to feel a bit better about herself. More of a hero who can save people, and is pulling away from that high Mundane that was when her wings didn't work.

Also, I hit another advancement, but I've been hanging on to it, since I want to have a chat with Whippoorwill at some point where she reinforces the whole "Superior" angle which is the Label she embodies. The advancement is +2 to the Label your Mentor embodies or denies.
Just to be sure, everyone is okay with this level of sappy teenage romance right? Don't want anyone to be too weirded out, or feel they can't voice their concerns.

S'fine for me, it'd hardly been teenagers without stupid decisions both romantically and in regards to authority :D Escalation for the escalation queen!

And man, you want to talk name coincidences? I swear to god, I didn't know that Bran the Blessed had a sister named Branwen when I created this character. I really only knew Bran from his cameo appearance in Arthurian mythology, and she never came up. So imagine my surprise when I'm doing a research dive a couple weeks after I've started posting and find out that I've totally accidentally given myself a Super Significant Name.
You didn't know that? I heard the story a couple years ago on a podcast or something, i figured it was 100% intentional on your part.
though, hopefully the drama doesn't get bad enough that you mirror much more of Branwen's story
I'm just waiting for us to find out that Reaver is secretly using a piece of the Cauldron to keep bringing back Shayera, cuz it's not like Bran/Bron don't already have enough issues about that. :P
Eh, I wouldn't say Jusker is crushing on Bronwyn-- more like still discovering who's available and who isn't. (I had someone else in mind, heh. But we'll see what happens.)

I'll admit, the sadistic side of me is bummed, because I had a muuuuuuuch more soul-crushing version of this breakup drafted at one point, but it doesn't really fit the circumstances as they panned out.
May polish it up and post it as a 'What If?' in discussion...
