Miakoda Promise-of-Spring |

As a heads up for everyone, my spouse and I will be headed to Japan for vacation from the 18th to May 5th. I might be able to post during that time but it seems unlikely.

Nebbin Elsbet |

I'll also be out of the country, April 22 to May 4. I will not be posting during that time (may have a chance to say something in discussion, but nothing in character, so I don't post from my phone).

Yeah--I hope you two enjoy your excursions.
Sorry about the silence again. What started as merely waiting to see if Miakoda and/or Firinne replied turned into a full-on flake-out. I've been sort of busy, but most of the problem has been sleep-related: Even though I'm typing this in the middle of the night, I've managed to sleep for over 3.5 hours in one go on back-to-back nights for the first time in about 2 weeks...so that's a somewhat hopeful sign. Multiple 2-hour sleeps/naps have been the usual lately.
I'm hoping to get myself together over the coming weekend. I'll likely post here and there while Miakoda and Nebbin are away, trying to at least finish off this part of the adventure. Once they're both back, I'll try my best to post more consistently. Thanks for bearing with me.

Sorry my posting has been so slow lately. I should have mentioned before that I had surgery last week and have been convalescing the past few days. I expected the extra time laying around recovering would give me plenty of time to post. But, I'd never had an operation before and my assumption about the period afterward was rosier than the reality.

GM Crimson |

Nebbin and Miakoda should be back from their respective trips now, so I'll try to push us forward.
@Emi: Yeah, you can never tell with surgeries. I have a minor one the middle of next month, and I'm hoping the recovery will not be a challenge.

Sorry about the delay; I've been busy with work and distracted outside of it. I'll have something posted by Monday at the latest.

Nebbin Elsbet |

Looks like I had the -3 correct in every macro except the one I posted. :D
Our GM noted I also referred to it as a masterwork sword -- even though I upgraded to +1 keen a year ago!

Sorry to be absent for so long. June was really busy work-wise with the end of the school year. Also my allergies also murdered me for a couple of weeks. The pollen count is way through the roof this year. It's been like having a terrible cold and being almost blind from constant eye tearing.

I love her. I may become a Kuthite and she and Kayleigh can fight it out for my affections. :D :D :D
Oh dear, don't do that to Kayleigh. Emi would have to beat Nebbin within an inch of his life if he did. :p

Hey all, I just wanted to add that I reached out to Firinne's player a few days ago, they're in a campaign I'm running. They've been struggling with depression for months now and decided to withdraw from my game. I suspect--but don't know for sure--that they've decided to mostly leave the boards so I don't know if they'll be back, or if they've said anything to any of their others games. Just figured a heads up might be helpful.

Emileva Mavrakis |

What can I say? Emi is immune. To her, putting studded leather kitty ears on a Kuthite doesn't make for less of a Kuthite. It's a generally applicable viewpoint for Emi; Ileosa wearing lots of glitter is still Ileosa.
Maybe it's because Emi never got asked to the prom. Probably it's because Emi is good at ignoring extraneous b@$@%+&& when judging what a person is about. :p

Andrezi Mardu |

Hah! Yeah, I really liked that post Emi.
And yeah, parley with a Kuthite is weird s#~$. But I figure there's a lot of effort put into this NPC and we're out of leads so I'm making Andrezi play nice.

GM Crimson |

Apologies again. My plan is to try to get things up-to-date in real life over the next few days and restart the game on Monday or Tuesday next week.

It's been more than a month since our last post. I think it's probably time to call it. We had a good run, but momentum is critical in PBP, and we just don't have anymore (we had five total posts in September).
I think Nebbin's going to head back to Kaylee and hopefully the two of them live happily ever after.

I'm inclined to agree with the above. I like this game, but the momentum isn't there.

Well, we had a good run.
I didn't want to give up on this game, but I have to face the facts: I no longer have the time or drive to keep things going. I had an increase in hours for work fairly recently, and now I'm getting an increase in responsibilities. I don't see how I can devote the time and creativity needed to keep the game enjoyable for all, so I'm going to end it here.
I want to thank all who played in this campaign over the years, some of whom I got to play alongside in the earliest days. Best wishes for all of you. I have no plans to leave the forums entirely, but I'll be sticking with just being a player for the foreseeable future. I hope to meet up with at least some of you in games here during that time.
Take care.
