Great Job Team.

Okay so how are we going to dived the Magic Items? We owe Zedric 448 gp. I was thinking we could trade him the vulture eggs that would mean we would still owe him 268gp. We then could trade him one of the magic items, (+1 dagger 2000gp, Bag of Tricks 8500gp, Chime of Opening 3000gp, Cloak of Resistance 1000gp, Ring of Feather Falling 2200gp) with a trade for more Healing Potions for the difference. Aside from that who gets what items and how to we take care of Amir and Samir? My suggestion is to give the cloak to the brothers as a share for their help and trade the Chime to the potion maker for the amount we owed and some more potions. {Jarva do you need more potions to recover your strength?} I think Jarva should take the bag since he is a druid also its high value offsets the extra 120 gp he paid for the potions. I think that "Tempest" has chosen Eli, its a +1 rapier (Is that true DM or could any of the party take it?) so I am willing to give the ring to someone else if they have use for it. If Dumah keeps the dagger and Quzman the mace, we all get some useful stuff.

I think Quzman will be able to use the spyglass gift best since he is the scout type of the group.

It makes more story sense if the people who want to gives us a name do it based on our accomplishments. I agree I don't like Scarlet Brigade. Maybe something like Vardishal's Chosen which I also don't like but makes more sense. What Ideas do you all have for a name the people can come up with to call us.

How soon until we can add in our new player and our you going to recruit someone to replace Kyra now that TDL can't continue?

DM, did you see my post about having some of us control the archers to take some of the responsibility off of you? I wouldn't mind "PCing" them when I make my posts. What did you decide?

1. Yes, Eli will not be giving up Tempest; he feels at peace when he wields it

2. As for group name, I couldn't think of one myself, so I leave it up to you

3. I don't think we need to recruit anyone else, 5 is good. We'll see how it goes.

4. As for the archers, Garavel has decided that having ranged specialists on the roof of the monastery makes a lot of sense so they will stay in camp for the most part, unless you request them particularly for some mission.

5. If they do tag along, I have no problem with any of you running them

I am fine with splitting the magic items however you see fit, MD. You took on the added responsibility to keep track of everything, so I am cool with whatever you think we should do. Just make sure the archers get their share, since we promised them...

Jarva only lost 2 Str in the encounter, so he is back up to normal. And I still have the one potion of Lesser Restoration if one of us need it later.

I'm not creative enough to come up with any cool name options. A version of Jarva's nickname would be something like "Whispers of the Desert," which might be apt since we are scouting, but if we go from scouting to attacking that might not be right anymore. I dunno.


And has anyone heard from Quzman lately? He hasn't posted since thursday as far as I can tell.

Yeah, I'd been keeping up with the posts for the most part. I ended up not being able to get on yesterday or today till now. Quzman had just been asleep/out of the discussion for Thursday night through Saturday in game, so didn't have much to add.

The split sounds fine by me. Please note that Quzman also has that magical mace (+1 light mace, and I thought there was something about electric about it, but I don't know).

I'll catch up in the game post now.

Yeah, Memorial Day activities caught up to me yesterday morning and took more time than I expected. Today was my Rise of the Runelord game =p.

To expedite things in game can we work out the trade with Zastoran here ooc and just make a brief post about it in game? Eli would go to him and offer him the eggs, and the chime of opening. That would give us 2852 gp in credit with him so to speak so I would see if he could give us more potions (at the agreed 1/2 price rate) I would try to get

10 potions of cure moderate wounds for 1500
10 potion of cure light wounds for 250
3 potions of lesser restoration for 450
3 potions of delay poison for 450

and a 202gp deposit on getting started on making more potions for us to purchase when we return. I would also give him as a gift the sample of mold that Jarva collected from the monastery to see if he can find any use for it.

That sounds fine to me, if the DM agrees, and Zastoran is willing to barter. I'm thinking this is more of a bartering society than a straight cash one for many things. The mold is a good idea.

The if we are all agreed then all the treasure we collected so far is accounted for.

Quzman gets: Mace +1, spyglass

Dumah gets: Dagger +1

Jarva gets: Bag of Tricks

Eli gets: Ring of Feather Fall and the blade Tempest

Brebork gets: Brooch of Shielding

For all the potions Zastoran gets: Spices, 42 gp, 3 giant vulture eggs, Chime of Opening, and a mold sample

Samir/Amir are given the cloak of resistance.

Note that we found some coin and new swords on the dead merchants in the desert but Eli has chosen to return that to the daughter we met at the well in Solku.

The potions we took had a total vlaue of 550 gp

We gave him 42 gp in coins, 60 gp in spices, and Jarvas 120gp
We still owed him 328 gp
If we give him the 3 eggs value 180gp
and Chime of Opening value 3000 gp
3180-328=2852 over paid.

Obviously I am taking the values direct from the book, and are subject to your final ruling. Thats why I thought it would be better to do this in the OOC thread and let the story move along in the other.


Will need a Diplomacy/Bluff check, your choice, from Eli with the following results for barter:

DC 15: 50% price
DC 20: 75% price
DC 25: 100% price
+10% for every point above 25

Hey guys, just want to let everyone know that Jarva will be very hit and miss for the next three days. I've got a work conference, and don't know if the hotel is set up for internet or not. I suspect it is and therefore I can post in the evenings, but I can't say that for sure.

If you need to autopilot him, please feel free. I like Eli's plan to draw then in, and then let Jarva entangle the lot of them. A couple arrows and force missles and hopefully we can deal with them quickly.

My posting could be a bit sporadic for the next few days as well. We might be headed out of town for a mini family Vacation. I have an iphone and it's hard to make decent posts from it, but I will do what I can to try and at least post once each day.


Going to a concert this evening, so I won't be back on until tomorrow morning. If Jarva's turn comes up again, he needs to run a round or two more to close the massive distance he still is away from the action. If he gets close enough, he plans on scimitaring some gnolls.

Gerald, if Jarva's action was not what you would have done, feel free to change it, but I thought it would be nice to have a 120' range touch attack. Which way were you headed? North toward your entangle spell or West with rest of party?


With Quzman going down, I have to go to the rest of the party. If the gnolls get away, I guess we will have to let them go for the time being. The rest of the team needs the backup more...

If i did it right adding 20% to the value gives us 3816 gp for are trade items-328 still owed to Zastiran.

That leaves 3488 minus the total of the requested potions - 2650= 838

838 gp left over as down payment on the next potions. Is that fair? Did we get all the potions? If so I would make sure that 2 each of the CLW and CMW were handed out to each member of the group (before the new guy joins) with the an extra of each given to Quzman and Jarva. Recognizing the Jarva is our most likely healer,x I would also hand off to him the 3 Delay posion and 3 lesser restoration potions to distribute as needed by the group.

Yes, you received all the potions and your math is correct. However, you exhausted Zastoran's supply of potions. It takes 2 hours to make potions under 250 gp (i.e. cure light wounds) but it takes 1 day each to make lesser restoration, delay poison, and cure mod wounds.

And I hope that will keep us good until Zastoran can brew us up some more. I would have hinted to him that the healing potions would be our highest demand.

I had one from the first batch that I erased of my sheet yesterday. I don't know if Quzman had anyleft from before or not so if he did'nt he will have to add one less.

EDIT: Looking at his sheet he has one listed so it looks like he still had one left over from the first batch we bought as well.


I'll note the potions in Dumah's profile. Does the caravan have a resource for scrolls? Or even for ink and vellum of appropriate grade to scribe his own? At some point, I'd like to expand his spell book a little as well.


Yes, there is plenty of ink and vellum. You still have to expend the raw materials cost though for scribing a scroll.
