I thought we had some credit left, not sure where we spent this.

If i did it right adding 20% to the value gives us 3816 gp for are trade items-328 still owed to Zastiran.

That leaves 3488 minus the total of the requested potions - 2650= 838

838 gp left over as down payment on the next potions. Is that fair? Did we get all the potions? If so I would make sure that 2 each of the CLW and CMW were handed out to each member of the group (before the new guy joins) with the an extra of each given to Quzman and Jarva. Recognizing the Jarva is our most likely healer,x I would also hand off to him the 3 Delay posion and 3 lesser restoration potions to distribute as needed by the group.

Lucendar wrote:
Yes, you received all the potions and your math is correct. However, you exhausted Zastoran's supply of potions. It takes 2 hours to make potions under 250 gp (i.e. cure light wounds) but it takes 1 day each to make lesser restoration, delay poison, and cure mod wounds.

I believe this is from the last time we delt with the potion maker. If I missed something let me know.

Since we came back to rest do we get any XP?

I haven't had time to calculate it, but it's not enough for 4th level yet.

Cool, thanks.

Speaking of which, DM, where do you want Ty to start at with xp? Third level minimum or somewhere else?

Same as Jarva had.

The climatic battle is at hand! Good luck everyone!

ITS ON

I will hang on to the inspire courage for now, I think Quzman will be able to take out the gnolls easily, we willl need the courage bonus to face Kardswann, or if the gnoll "shtuff" hits the the fan.

Sounds like a plan MD. I love the build up, and last minute quirk to the arena fight. Goes to show, no matter how much you try and plan ahead, there's always something you forgot to nail down :)

Dumah offered the rust bag of tricks to Quzman, but I didn't see in the main thread if he accepted or declined it.

Very good purchase with the 2 potions, Tyronel! Good contingency plan, group. I was worried if the die rolls turned against Quzman.

The plan is great, a wisely use of the potion. Bahiyy got some potions in the past, but I don't have a list. And also he might take more?

RPG Superstar 2008 Top 16

Please keep track of the stuff you carry. I went and found Jarvas list and posted in the main thread to potions that Bahiyy should be carrying. On my character sheet, on the profile of Eli is a master record of the treasure we find and where it goes, but I don't keep track of what we buy or what we use, just what we found where and how we distributed it. Once given to a character its that players resonsiblity to keep track of it. Thanks

I haven't adjusted Jarva's sheet since the halberd ...incident..., so that should be a precise list of what Jarva was carrying at the time.

Updated Bahiyy's equipment and added the potions, that should be it. Good luck guys, Bahiyy will run around and heal - and hopefuly not bump into gnolls.

Question: It appears from the latest actions posted that Eli and perhaps Dumah are preparing actions to attack should Quzman fall, which may be in the next succesful swing. I understood the purpose of the invisibility was so Bahiyy could come in and heal Quzman secretly to continue the fight. Is this a disconnect between DM and players, or a disconnect among the players themselves, with conflicting plans? Just curious, thanks.

I think it just represents that Dumah and Eli are on the very edge of their seats. We are hoping Bahiyy can intervene and swing things Quzman's way, but we've lost too many good friends already, and we'll intervene if it looks like a coupe de grace is in the works.

Ah, makes sense now. Thanks.

Sweet fight, Quzman, congrats!

That was intense. I was really worried after Dashki initial attacks. For the longest time, one more hit and I was done...excellent challenge Lucendar.

RPG Superstar 2008 Top 16

Sweet fight scene!!

Yeah, Eli was on the edge of his seat ready to leap in to aid his friend should Dashki get a killing blow. He wont stand still and watch another of his friends die at the hand of these villains.

Great one, very intense, I really liked it. And a sneaky priest =) , rarely words which work together.

That was an awesome combat all the way around. Congrats Quzman! And great job by everyone.

And another yet to come...

Yes, I believe the sneaky priest will continue to be needed...

Bummer. Totally busy weekend, hope I can post, otherwise, just run Bahiyy.

Things just got interesting with Quzman, the tank, going down! Let's see how this plays out.

What a way to celebrate our 2500th post! *throws confetti*

It's okay that he made those two reflex saves, but I really hope he misses the NEXT one. :)

Wow, 2500, just realized it! Woo! Hope I don't kill the mood now with a TPK!

We're also in the Top 20 of PbPs all time, no. 18 currently!

RPG Superstar 2008 Top 16

YEAH 2500+ posts.

At least we have an invisible medic to help with the Quzman situation.

I am going to be out of town today and tomorrow and don't know if I will be able to post. Eli will continue to use inspire courage until its gone. He will also keep fighting as long as he has breath and ways to heal. Once the healing is all gone and he is low on HP he will call for a stratigic retreat. I hope we can destroy him before that happens. :) When fighting he will continue to stay defensive to get the AC bonus, Feint whenever possible and try to get flanking postions whenever he can. If he has an opportunity while Kardswann is distracted (and the chance of an axe blow coming my way is slim) he might not use the fighting defensive adjustmenst (but he still would use his combat expertise to effect his AC) and try to ensure a solid hit. I hate to be unable to post on this critical battle and will try to but I am not sure if I will have access to a PC on this overnight. DM if you would or if someone else would roll for me on my turn I would be gratefull, Good Luck ALL.

On that note, I wanted to let you all know I will also be out of town starting tomorrow. Quzman's sort of laying down on the job as it were at the moment, so not an issue yet. If you would please run Quzman while I am away if he is able to get back into the action. He would mainly try and survive long enough to give flanking to Eli by taking 5' steps to avoid the AoO's as long as he could. I will be out of town until Friday night or Saturday late afternoon. Good luck guys!

Hopefully you guys won't come back to a TPK! Take care!

Yeah, we are in alot of trouble! I didn't really expect him to be able to fly.

Dang! I was hoping those saves would go the other way around, failing the save against Grease!

Tough battle. Lots of people close to death. The genie is bloodied, in 4th ed terms! ;-)

This encounter is a whopper, DM. Don't see any way we can make it through this one, unless we get really lucky soon. Or unless the harpy helps, which I don't think she is there to do. That big bastard is doing HUGE damage!

Main reason is enlarged greataxe does 2d8 base damage and with power attack, it gets ridiculous!

Damn! That is strong...hopefully he fails his reflex against the grease spell. We need some divine intervention.

Gerald, you got 2 attacks against him...hopefully the dice are with you! The web spell did give Quzman and Eli a chance to get back into the fight.

M almost human

Don't wanna know what would happened to Bahiyy if he wasn't invisible...., IIRC he can channel one more time.

How hurt does he look, DM? Are we making any progress at all?

Lucendar said he was blooded by 4e definition. I haven't picked up a 4e book since the first month it was released... Maybe I need to go look it up again!

Just means below 1/2 hit points but with that AoO, he's hurt pretty badly now.

I cannot believe I rolled a 1 on concentration! Must be the pain, or the demon fever...

I have to say that this has been an educational encounter for me as a wizard player. If the character concept allows it, I need to diversify damage types and saving throw types of the spells I have at hand. My excuse with Dumah is he was young and trying to emulate a fighter that was important in his life, so he was focused on direct damage.

Wow, fight is exciting, can't believe Tyronel survived that! With 1 hp, he's still up!

Hey Gerald, sorry for taking your glory moment of possibly killing Kardswann but I did not believe Eli could do more than 10 pts of damage with no Strength score and no Inspire Courage but he crit!

Thank you all for 3 great fights there in the arena! As usual, take your time levelling up and post character changes and hp rolls here in the OOC thread.

We're almost done with the 1st book, there's just the matter of Xulthos and what's through the sealed door in the Church...

As for treasure found in the Battle Market, I will post it soon.

Oh my goodness, Ive been out most of today and just got on. Thank goodness Eli got the killshot in. I am just glad to be alive!

Let's see if I would have hit him...

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

That is three 20's in a row, lol. Calculate the odds on that for us Lucendar!

Oh man! 1 in 8000! He was meant to die that round!
