Aye, thank you MD. It does make things a lot easier for the rest of us.

I have adjusted Quzman's sheet to reflect the one that was used on him and the new ones.

On a side note, The Sand Gnashers would work for me, or what would you think about The Sand Stalkers? I'm odd in really liking alliterative names.


Of those two, I think I prefer Stalkers to Gnashers.

Personally, I'd go for Dune Stalkers rather than Sand. Just my 2 cents.


Fellas, don't be freaked about the demon out of game. If you avoid him for a short while and get the cleric to 3rd level, there's the 2nd level spell Align Weapon that can your align your weapons to good to bypass DR, so you have options.

My group in RL that I ran through this failed all their knowledge checks and did not know it was a demon and were unprepared, so they got their a$$es handed to them. Two in the party died and other 3 had to flee. They're regrouping now. You guys are way ahead of them!


I like Stalkers too, sand or dune is fine by me.

I'm glad you liked the post regarding the demon! I have to say I was a smidgen freaked out, but then I thought I have the Expeditious Retreat spell; I don't have to outrun the demon, just the rest of the party! Just kidding. Yeah, I looked over my spell list and thought it was looking pretty grim.

I don't really have a sense for how far off 3rd level is, but I am sure looking forward to getting the second level spells!


Actually, under the Fast XP chart, you need 3300 for 3rd and you guys have 3050, so you are 250 xp away. Cleric is 750 xp away.

Sand stalker is fine.

For spells, Bahiyy needs a spell component pouch.
And yes, align weapon would be good to have.
Also other nice spells are coming then, like bull's strength or resist energy.

For speed, I could cast longstrider giving Bahiyy a movement of 50.....- for hours.

I updated the treasure record to include all the stuff we found in the ruins minus what Bahiyy oufits himself with. I would have appraised the rugs back then so with a take 20 on the roll I would get a roll of 25.


The rugs are 25 gp each.

Just checked, Bahiyy doesn't need the spell component, it is for arcane casters. Sorry for the confusion.


No problem and please amend Bahiyy's profile to reflect protection domain, which you had mentioned to me.

I have to echo, this is an awsome group to game with. I think our OOC thread is longer than most of the PBP I have been in.

And you guys are superfast in posting, usually a PbP goes one post a day, but not this one - you wanna fly thoruogh it, looks so to me, and am fine with it. Enjoying it tremendously!


Well the way I look at it, is that I am only on the computer all day, like today, maybe once per week. If the DM is on at that time, I post as often as I can to move things along, even if it is not something Jarva is strong in, like the talking to the harpy.

But I will be out most of tomorrow, so I will let you guys do the heavy lifting then. If everyone does that once every week or so, we proceed at a nice quick pace and get things done!

Back to the game...are we going to tackle the boar or are we going back to the temple? I am fine with either, but we need to decide or the demon will decide for us..


I think more than anything killing the boar will tip our hand. I would almost be more inclined to go after the bugbears or something like that. But with the demon floating around... It is daunting. We have no one to blame but ourselves if we end up confronting the demon before we level it could be ugly. But then again, that is entirely metagaming.


I think there's only the wandering demon, the boar, and maybe a patrol of 4 gnolls that might be outside of buildings. The bugbears are part of the huge gaggle in the battle market, at least that's what I got from the description.

I'm fine with going and resting if folks want, as I don't want to push too far too fast. However, Quzman loves a good hunt too.

I'd say take a rest, we know the demon is around and we really don't want to meet him already. And if we only kill the boar, the gnolls will be on their alert.

Alright I thought I go with Craft Wondrous, hopefully getting the chance. Or anything else worthy to consider? Heavy armor proficiency? Loos like Bahiyy will become a front-liner.


Pick wahtever you want, Pete. Both of those could be very useful to the team.

Looks like Bahiyy, Quzman, and Jarva will all be taking turns on the front line at various points. The other side should have plenty of targets!

On a more serious note, I will be out of town from Thursday through Sunday unfortunately. I fear I will probably miss out on the demon hunt =(. Please DMNPC Quzman as you see fit to keep the story moving. Things are really moving along great!

Sorry, yeah, I added it to his profile, I 'think' in all the relevant places, but forgot it here. It's +2 to Init, percep, survival, know(geog), and stealth I think it was in the desert areas.


Waiting on Bahiyy and Eli to update characters. Eli, you going with Combat Expertise and Improved Feint (as Rogue talent) at 3rd level?

Here's an idea for when Bahiyy gets to start crafting. Maybe he could make a wand of Endure Elements, so everyone could start using medium and better armor (when we find some, of course).

+1 hit point for human? You mean favored class, correct? Also channel energy goes up to 2d6.

A wand would need a different feat to create. With Craft Wonderous Items, he could make a Cloak of Comfort, a cloak that provides the benefits of Endure Elements. That would be a 1000 gp item, the cost halved when making it yourself, so 500 gp. It would only take a day to make each one.

For +hp, yes - favored class: cleric.

No problems to craft, if there is cash available.
So, where is the cloak of comfort? Only found the Keffiyeh of Cooling. and for that Bahiyy needs to be 7th level.


I just made up the Cloak of Comfort; its not in any books or magazines that I'm aware of. Basically a cloak that has a continuous Endure Elements effect on it. Under crafting magic items, it would be a use-activated or continuous effect item. Cost would be spell level x caster level x 2000gp. That would be 1x1x2000gp, then you divide the cost by 2 because the spell has a 24 hour or greater.

Where is the Keffiyeh of Cooling? Does it provide more benefits than the base spell of Endure Elements?
