*whisper* This is the member that marked my post as favorite...If its not me and it's not one of you then in means *scary music* we are not alone:) Hopefully it's like a talent scout or something and I can quit my day job to write for Paizo, lol!

Grey, the Lady's dog |

My Mother called. She is going to need my help with things a lot more now. If you need me to do something, please 'bot' me for the next few days. I should know in a day or two if I am going to need to bow out permanently.

Professor Quinto Addermire |

I'll get an update up sometime in the next 12 hours, I had a rather nasty surprise to deal with all day yesterday.

Grey, the Lady's dog |

Unfortunately, nothing much has been resolved over the weekend, so I still don't really know just how much I am (or am not) going to need to curtail my postings. I should know by this time tomorrow. Thanks for your patience.

Victor Jankowski, Private Eye |

I am going to Hawaii, tomorrow, to see my daughter receive her master's Degree on Saturday, and will not be back until next Wednesday. Posting will not be high on my list of things to do, but I will be taking my pad, so I can keep up if I need to

I updated the map cause everyone was too small.
Yaknow, this homebrew is kind of a good apetizer for the new AP coming out in August: Iron Gods. The pros are gonna show us how Sci-Fi-Fantasy is really suppose to be done. We'll probably be embarrassed by our little game here, lol!

Figit Pattal |

I don't know. APs are really hit or miss. Look at Kingmaker: while it is kinda inventive with the city building aspect, it's dependent on the players leaving the city and then something bad happening when they aren't there. Meanwhile the BBEG is completely unknown until the last book. So while it's appreciated that they are comping out with new stuff, I like to think what we are doing now will probably be better.

I want to say THANK YOU for all your faithful posts over the last few weeks. This game is a blast. May I please get a genuine interest check on this game at this point? We are at a crossroads. The final battle is sooooo close, yet this teleport device could literally make the game like 20 years longer. I don't know what's going to happen, lol! But if an opportunity comes up for me to go one way or the other with it...would we prefer to bring this story to a climax? Or do we want to savor it and go from the "module" length to full feature "adventure path" length. I swear you will not hurt my feels either way. I just enjoy playing pbp pathfinder with faithful posters and would honored to GM whatever you guys would like. Votes?

Professor Quinto Addermire |

Put me down for short with a proper ending. Plenty entertaining game, and I'm having fun with this character, and I'm not planning on going anywhere, but I think this particular premise and party composition is just better suited to something relatively short where everyone parts ways at the end and shakes their heads at all those eccentric weirdos. You know?

Grey, the Lady's dog |

Not intended as a slight to your abilities in any way Nixie, but I will have to agree with the professor. I've been having a blast, but I would prefer not to 'jump the shark'.

![]() |

No problem at all! I was kinduv hoping you guys would say that believe it or not. This game was only intended to be a short one, mostly to meet players, which I have!
Mabe think about what you guys would like to do next then? I think i've figured out how to report PFS games, so we could do some PFS scenarios. I've never done Legacy of Fire AP, so that's another option. I've got all the APs, and Modules in PDF format are only like $10, so whatever looks fun!

Professor Quinto Addermire |

Hooray for 3/4 view maps. Not nearly enough of those in RPGs. I was entirely too happy when I saw the last one in Legacy of Fire.

Professor Quinto Addermire |

It would just feel too wrong to play the dottering old scientist type and NOT set the final villain up for some proper trust betraying backstabbery right at the climax of things, you know?

Grey, the Lady's dog |

Oh no, we're not going to kill you. We're going to make you suffer...

Grey, the Lady's dog |

D'oh! I forgot to update the character sheet to represent healing... No, Grey is actually at full health.

Grey, the Lady's dog |

Are we still in the same round in which I summoned the Lantern Archon? I've been holding off on acting because I thought we were, if that's incorrect, I'll post an action.

Professor Quinto Addermire |

Could give'em the extra day. I believe history shows this to be a group that's not much for weekend posting.

Professor Quinto Addermire |

For those keeping score:
Normally: 8 Con, 9/24 HP
After poison: 2 Con -4/9 HP
So, -4 being less than -2, our wacky friend the professor officially has Xes for eyes.
Be sure to get all properly righteously vengeful now everyone!

Holy shyza, Professor is dead! That's only the second player I've ever killed as GM and the first one was on purpose. I feel bad. Here take this coupon...

Professor Quinto Addermire |

Well hey, suitably dramatic way to go out! Still doesn't top my last PC death though:
GM gets a bit fed up with my heavy drinking gun toting swaggering merciless mercenary pirate captain consistently dropping the various crime lords and wizards and such he kept trying to make into big bad villains first thing round 1 (part him really not understanding encounter balance, part the dice just loving the hell out of that character and pistols having x4 crits) and finally took my advice on how to properly challenge that party.
Long story short, I'm facing off one on one with a vampire with the rest of the party rather indisposed, just trading hits until I maxed out on negative levels (the GM, in retrospect, was pretty blatantly cheating and not tracking damage, but a gunslinger can eat a -10 to hit without issue, so I was pretty confident he'd drop before I did). A bit of deus ex machina finished the vampire off and let the rest of the party flee... leaving me fully level drained by a now dead vampire, to eventually rise as the free willed sort, and there was this whole bit about this secret magically hidden island where every pirate crew in the region had to pay tribute to this pirate ghost charged with vague tribunal-ruling sea-monster-taming curse/destiny thing he was really looking to retire from if there was a suitable replacement.
On the one hand, it really is not cool at all to just kinda decide you're going to kill off a PC no matter what they do and not discuss it with the player up front. On the other hand, becoming the undead queen of all pirates with your own private hidden island and pet kraken is about as nice of a retirement plan as you can ask for.

Geeperz. That sounds like a crazy home brew! Pirates, gunsingers, vampires, and a Kraken all in one game.
Well you played like a champ in this one. I have no idea how everyone is getting off this asteroid without you there to operate the floating spherical teleporting device. Because if they go back up to find the black portal on the surface Vaynox is going to chop Elai's head off!
Anyway, this has been a fun game. Do you ever GM pbp? I'll volunteer to let one of my characters get killed By GM Quinto!

Professor Quinto Addermire |

Not generally. I got roped into running Jade Regent recently, but otherwise I mainly just run games when a bunch of weirdos on an IRC channel twist my arm.
And I'm sure Figit can work out crazy teleporter shenanigans. Bards are usually good at that sort of thing.

![]() |

No you are not an NPC. You are still figit, just the Neutral aligned Aeon in charge of remaking this unworthy universe, so if you wanna pick which orb to throw at Arael I'll be happy to narrate her horrible death for you. Then you should say good bye to all your friends, tell them you are sorry but you "just gotta do this" and step through some interdimensional portal that you open, or do some other dramatic closing post:)
This adventure has gone in so many different directions than originally intended thanks to the characters (you guys) and I have had a blast. Everybody gets one of these:
Love,
//Nixie//

Grey, the Lady's dog |

Alright. It's pretty much concluded save for a denouement. Which, given that we are all likely wandering off on our lonesome, we can each 'write' individually.
