Losing Sien’s Spellstrike to Reacive Strike each round hurts.
Does anyone have a solution to neutralizing enemy reactions?
And his ability to multi strike at full attack strength is a losing game - I do not think we want to trade hits back and forth standing still!

If he is out for only 1 round, no major changes to my turn. We need Sien healthy, and this lucky break puts us back in the running, but still in a tough fight.
Nice work, Ketsu-kiba! I presume you intend to sustain it indefinitely?
Chi Sien
The haste spell was interrupted by the AoO crit, correct? So nobody is hasted?
Chi Sien
Yeah, I keep tripping over myself. With haste, Sien should be able to jump back with a reaction, and move in with hasted action, to be able to Spellstrike every round. But it just hasn't worked out. Or maybe the strategy is flawed, not 100% sure. I've never played a magus this high so I'm unsure whether expecting to Spellstrike every round is unreasonable or not.

My husband started at another table of Prey for Death shortly after we did. I won't share the spoilers he told me, assuming I already knew about them. His team is having a much easier time with this fight, and it's not only because of the dice roller (which seems to despise me for now).

Hey if the blame is on me, I will deny it all, and blame the other GM for making the fight overly easy ;)

Thanks, I think I'll stay in and press the assault with the backstab/gang up and healing myself with a big soothe.
Still have a 7th level slot as well as a smattering of lower level ones.

Each and every one of you have 3 rounds worth of actions before another events will happen, then you may have more time. Crimson shroud last a minute So for Ann it is over after this round. Sien and Moonlight will get an extra round
R1
◆) Stow Loaded X-Bow
◆) Stride
◆) Interact to grab keys(?)
R2
◆/◆◆/◆◆◆) Interact x1/x2/x3 to grab all the things?
No doors are closed on this floor, I will say athat it takes you a round to runsack whatever valuables are there, pick the ones that you like
BOLD IS UP!:
──────────
➤ Sien (176/176 HP) │ 3 rounds left
➤ Ann (214/218 HP) │ 1 + 2/3 rounds left
Ordulf (-113 HP) │ dead
➤ Moonlight (172/160 HP)
➤ Ketsu-kiba (59/162 HP) │ 2 rounds left
GM, how many rounds / actions does Moonlight have left?
Ketsu-kiba
Considering it takes 1 minute to take armor off, I don't see a good way for us to get the plate unless somebody has some magical shenanigans.
Chi Sien
I, as a player, do too, but I wonder if our characters would. After all, the job is completed, right? Wouldn't their reactions be to loot the place and get out, leaving behind a wake of carnage for someone else to sift through?

Also, we don't know what tricks he had up his sleeve for resurrection. Ann wants to make good and sure that his soul *actually* leaves his body. And she's wishing she could cast a spell to disintegrate his corpse, just to be sure. He's died and popped back up so many times already.

Is there any reason we don't want the valkyries to come deposit his soul in the afterlife, and how does that interact with the Vernai Training?

Linkified.
I think it may be a different DC than 28 - gunna look deeper into that…
GM Farol
Well, I don't think any of your heroes have been in a situation like that before, you kow that Valkyries take souls to afterlife and not really resurect them, you did not hear of them attacking mortals on their own, does it mean that it will not happen now ... who knows ;)
You are somehow confident that Gorum's boon was supposed to bring Ordulf back, and it did 3 times and you killed him 4 times :) If Gorum would be mad at you, would they intervene? Who knows, he did not meddle with the fight ...
This would be what you roughly know, so you could just focus on looting and leaving, the fortress seems like a 'sinking ship', remaining soldiers are fleeing rather than rallying to face you.

I remember the Spellcasting “engine” changing to be simplified, strengthening casters who dabbled in other traditions and methods.
I think you use your highest proficiency, but then maybe a different Key Ability Score based on the source. Let me look up the KAS for Red Mantis…
Red Mantis Spellcasting. There is a 4-point difference between Moonlight’s WIS and CHA, so I believe DC 28 is correct.

I can't imagine the herald of Gorum doesn't also have reactive strike. Hopefully invisibility will help Sien get those spellstrikes off.

Please somebody else correct me if I'm wrong but I suspect we're happy to move on from the wall of force.
Let us dismiss, or have the Herald of Gorum sunder the wall. Surely he can't be meaningfully stopped by a simple wall.
Or just fast forward half a minute unless anybody else has things they desperately want to do.
Ann Hilate
Ditto.
And we don't know where the stairs at the back of the room go, since we didn't clear the previous level first.

If it helps, Here is a loose diagram:
Key
G = Gorum
M = Moonlight
A = Ann
S = Sien
K = Kiba
===== = Wall
==0== = Wall with a door (at "0")
_ = nothing (empty space)

Description
Basically, Ann and Moonlight crossed over to flank Gorum (who is large), and Kiba backed up to give you "the spot" at the open door. There is a lot of space in the room we are in, less so in the room you are currently in. And we are kinda crammed up against a wall, trading blows through the door.
Maybe that helps?
=)

Herald hits Ann as she moves around. Are you in the stance? No right? so -40 and 1d6 bleeding
Correct. I moved, so I left the stance. Header is corrected now. Apologies for missing that.
