@Bloodwolven, sounds good to me. In that case, the voice of reason in Salereon's backstory was probably connected with your family. With elves' life-span, the individual could have been guiding the family for generations, perhaps since the Choral conquered Rostland 200 years ago, or even longer. Think Polgara and the Arends.
Write Kirren up so we can get chosen!
Friend Kirren! 'Tis the moment to prove our mettle! We shall go forth into this savage wilderness and subdue the villains! Whether by reasonable agreement, or glorious battle! Art thou ready?

It isn't easy to be recognized in this world, especially if you are unwanted like me. Daen often thought of this as he walked down the street in Restov. Whether or not it was true was not something that really crossed his mind. There were other half elves around, even nearby. There was a bit of a community at a nearby orphanage, and he began to wish that perhaps it would be best if his parents had given him up, and then he wouldn't be as lonely.
The itinerant cleric of Erastil who sometimes dropped by to see his mother completely ignored him, as did some of the other people around. He was but a shadow, a piece of scenery, not particularly interesting to anyone but himself. But that was okay, as long as he procured help for his ailing mother. Perhaps some of the people here would need of his skills and recruit him, or perhaps even the gods would take notice of him and put him together with some people who could help. They must realize how difficult it is to make friends, at least it was for him.

Johnny may not be good but he is trying to be better.

PBP is my only outlet to RP so I take it as serious fun.
Let me know please if there is anything I am missing.
My Traits were kind of easy to choose. Child of the Streets, Brigand, and Deft Dodger. I think they all fit well into my character.
Thanks to Garren and Garrion for the tie ins I only hope I did them justice in my backstory as well.

Kirren, is an Elven Ranger who has been recently charged to guide, if not protect. He will help out his charge when need be, the code tells him to guide but he takes it more personal for he does not want any harm to come to Salereon Gavriil, partly because of his instinct to protect.
The road can be a lonely place; this was another reason Kirren decided to join Salereon for companionship and good times. Kirren has a good nature and enjoys laughing and making light of most things.
His father started guiding after being saved from a nasty group of gnolls. He was the last of a caravan to be tortured and eaten, half of them being family, when Salereon’s ancestor came along charging in all her brilliance! Of course there were others but none shined as much as her!
Kirren was raised as many of the elves are to enjoy life and to dabble in everything. Though Kirren was not an average elf, he always was looking for creatures or others to take care of, help and even protect. For this reason he was always wearing his armor and took hits for his charges. His father always laughed at how his promise was truly inspired in his son. He would say, “The stories influence him so much that I see aspects of the focused humans in my son.” Little did he know that there was binding magic in his vows and they had transferred to his son. Kirren’s father was not home to see all of the growing due to his vow. Thanks to his father Kirren was never kept wanting and had a good upbringing by his mother and aunt.
Kirren found his niche in the wilds, with his mother and aunt, for by their practices you must work for your own food, be it hunting or farming the garden. Not having the fitness of his father or aunt, his mother fostered the art of the bow upon Kirren.
During his training days of becoming a Ranger he learned of many different creatures of the woods. Those that seemed most interesting were magical beasts, they always intrigued him and he wanted to learn more about them. Yes, Kirren may want to speak with the creature and learn about it but he has the skills to put it down just the right way if it is threatening.
Kirren’s father has gone missing and he must take up his father’s vow, to continue to guide and protect. He knows he will find adventure with Salereon, he just hopes they will both be able to come out of it alive and to develop close companions on the way.
“You know Salereon, since we be heading that way perhaps we can look into some of those mythic elven ruins and find some of my family history possibly. Hmmm? What do you say?”
If I get selected I would be able to post at least once a day, though I like to focus on the campaign that I am in which will help me flavor my actions. The only day that I may not be able to post is when I have my hometown D&D sessions, which happens roughly every other weekend when everyone can make it. I live in Washington State, so I am in Pacific Time, though my nights are mostly open and really shouldn’t be an issue. I have been GMing for the past 5 years and look forward to getting some playtime! ;)

Kirren Baelash Koehvain |

Tall and lean Kirren the elf holds his posture straight and true, all 6’2”. Many would call his wirey frame of 130 lbs. weak, but he knows just like the yew tree you must bend or you will break. He wears the ageless youth just like his kin, appearing in his twenties when he is near his 125th winter. His hair is kept short for practical matters and kept under the brown woolen cap until inside, then his coppery locks spring forth barely touching those pointy ears of his. His eyes are always watching, keeping that keen lookout for any hint of danger, be ware of those hazel eyes for they seen to catch the light when he is angered and glow golden. His tan skin is spotted with freckles showing his time in the wilderness plying his trade.
After shifting through I think this would the best depiction of Kirren, that I have seen so far

@Sault Is there anything else that I am missing? Are my traits fine, or do I need to do some adjustments?

Nerandeth Ildelaren |

Wow, I don't check the post for nearly a day and all this happened.
While sitting in his carriage heading south, Nerandeth thinks too himself, I hope this isn't a mistake, after all my father was banished for some kind of crime. Sticking his head out of the window, he calls to Jarvis. "Any idea how long it will take to get there?"
Jarvis replied, "A couple of days at least, provided nothing goes wrong."
Leaning back in the carriage, the Half-Elf let out a sigh. We'll see.

My character Daen might be able to link up with you. One of your so called friends might have been my dad and is part of the reason he is in prison. He could have asked you to look out for me on occasion, and you might have meet up with me and learned about the expeditions from me too.
Also, Sault, if you could look over my character and tell me what I would be missing to be complete, I thought I was several days ago and can't find what fault you have found with him to not include him in your list.

Xerell Maj'ir |

@Daen and Orodreth :I think we can tie our characters stories together along with Orodreth. Seeing that we are both Half-elves that were disappointments to our families, you more then me, but I can see Xerell learning about your situation through his mother's information network. He first approached Daen to use him as a insider to the noble realm, but as he talked with the other half-elf he grew to like him and saw that they have been through around the same. So they became friends and even helped trained each other in there skill with the dueling blade. When Xerell picked up some information about a elf coming into town that is criminally connected to his father or something like that. With your need of Daen to increase his funds, Xerell convinces Daen to come with him to the stolen lands and that his plans with this new kingdom will grant them a vast fortune.
This just an idea, let me know what the two of you think and if you guys want to change around the story. Hope you two are interested.

Orodreth Míriel |

@Daen. Yea, read your story and that seems like a pretty good connection we could have. I would have tried to help you and I can see our characters working together well enough. We are both nobles in a way and have been cast out (in different ways).
@Xerell. Thats a cool idea. Perhaps I happened to gain some information you wanted, you might have helped me escape with my life one time and I gave you the information, we parted as allies of a sort and maybe even I would pass things on when I had something, for a fee of sorts of course.

Xerell Maj'ir |

@Orodreth: Yeah sounding cool to me as well. I just love the idea of 2 outcasted elven blooded nobles and one half elf that pretends to be a noble running together. My network could of picked you up when you arrived in town and I decided to take a interest in you. Helping you change your identity put you in debt with me and you started helping me gather information. We started to click as friends and helping me out gave you that excitement you were striving for without committing grievous crimes. Finding out the early connection between you and Daen's father. So I brokered the deal to have you watch over him. Just an idea.

I would like to submit the gnome sorcerer Gaer for a slot in this upcoming adventure. I do not have a background yet, but I will leave you with this short description.
Gaer stands 3'3" and weighs a mere 38 pounds. His deep green hair is usually stuffed up inside a large red fez with a golden tassel. Great furry sideburns frame a serious face, looking much like moss on the side of a tree. His nut-brown skin is smooth and bright and intelligent blue eyes stare out onto the world around him. He is usually dressed in sturdy traveler's clothes in greens, blues and reds.
Gaer is not alone, however, for a great flightless bird is his boon companion. Called Vorwerk, this axebeak was raised by the gnome from a hatchling and is completely devoted to him. The creature is either outfitted with a special saddle, with Gaer riding upon its back, or between the shafts of a light chariot that carries the gnome and all his gear.
Background to follow..

Dear Lem! This pie represented a danger to the entire local population. Had you been here to assist me...well it would have been appreciated. But finding myself outnumbered and alone, I had no choice but to face them in combat. I am pleased to say that I prevailed.
Fizzy rises and rubs his massive belly, then strikes a pose while he calls for another pie. As he stands he mutters a cantrip Prestidigitate to make his gorgeous scarf flutter.
