Yeah, I would be unable to use that as well. I wouldn't be able to stick to a reliable time, my life is to hectic. That's why pbp works for me, at least most of the time!

Just a question wouldn't the bandits have to wait till their turn to dismount and draw weapons. Or was it inly bandit ine that did that.
Manzcar
Sal Sal Sal where are you buddy.
Garren Kodlak
I would absolutely love to continue playing Kingmaker but it's becoming clear that Sault is either lacking in the time or inclination to run the game. Responses are infrequent at best.
I'm not sure exactly where this is leading. It's either time for me to drop the game or for us to request Sault pass the reins on to someone else.
I'm not particularly willing to continue with the game as it is now and can accept that I may be the one that needs to leave if the other two active players are satisfied with how things are currently going.
Sal, if you're out there, feel free to chip in as well. We miss you buddy.

We have a player that hasn't posted in weeks and a GM that hasn't posted in a long time either I am kinda with you it isn't really going anywhere we are still on the first battle several weeks after starting. I like my character and want to play this but at this rate it will take a year to get out of Olegs.
Garion Erada
I'm not wanting to continue in this particular game but I really like the characters we tied together. Sal is in another one of my games but MIA and no responses to pm. I'm about to send his pc on a mission and see what happens if/when he comes back. And even though our story lines tie him in I can just as easily write him out. I say we go with your original plan of putting up a DM recruitment post and maybe get a pc or two to fill the void. We really just need a heavy hitter.
Garren Kodlak
We don't necessarily need to write him out. In the end, Salereon just decided to stay at Oleg's to help guard the Levetons. A few other adventurers wandered south.
I'd like to recruit a GM and then discuss recruiting more players with said GM.
Thoughts?
Garion Erada
I'm down with that. That works for the back story as well. I've worked with Sal for a couple of adventures so in my other game I'm leaving space for him to come back, which is why I'm sending him on a "mission". That being said I'm sure a new GM would probably just move on without him. I say let's move forward immediately and see if we can do this.

No objection here

Hi Guys!
The Name is Corsario, an "old-schooler" that loves computers, and now finds it nice to game on the internet, finding hard to find gamers near.
I have mastered several games, off and on line, for a taste of my style, let me brag with a "Rise of the Runelords" game I did last year:
http://forums.rptools.net/viewforum.php?f=68
I normally am a very "heavy-handed" "railroading" master, forcing my players to be the good guys, and trying, sometimes too hard, to lead them to the "scenes" that I have prepared for them. I have also tried to refrain form "Play by post" mastering as I feel it too slow...
I sometimes are too "rules-light", and as a player as different to a "min-maxer" as possible.
But it's never too late to change!
When I read Kingmaker for the first time I imagine myself beign a "Player's" DM. Don't try to force them, but letting them do their best, and only controlling the NPC's and environment reacting to them.
So, what do you think? Are you felling like accepting me as a DM?
Is your "current" DM ok with it? Do we care?
How is the style of play you like? Where do you want the campaign to go? Which players are still on?
About needing or not needing somebody (heavy hitter, for example)...
... well, I'll tell you if we get that far...
Greetings

I'd like to say welcome aboard. If you're up for it, kick off a new campaign and we'll all join in there. That'd give you control of the Campaign info thread and whatnot.
I'd like to wrap up the current fight and then discuss OOG the possibility of recruiting 1-2 new PCs.
Optimally, we'd leave a spot open for Salereon in case his workload ever dies down and he can rejoin us. We could also use an arcanist of some variety. While Sal's gone we're also lacking in some beefy melee action of some sort or another.
A summoner could fill both slots, but many GMs are uncomfortable having them in their games.
Garion Erada
Yes, we welcome you! Hopefully we can get this thing going and have ourselves a successful game!

Excellent! Sounds like we have a game.
I will need some days to get familiar with the Adventure Path (the good think is that I have it) and with your characters. I think I can start on Monday. I will probably will give the fight as over for good, and we can start with the next things.
I will make a new "campaign" for us... just let me find out how :S
In the meantime, I would like to know:
What do you want for your character (love, fame, fortune)?
Do you have some plot points, themes or npcs to appear (find his father, fight the opression, a nice bartender)?
Some magic item you want to try out, or your character will need in the future (a nice flaming sword, something to raise the wis, etc)?
Which progression path are you thinking? Some arquetype? Some school of magic, some church branch?
I don't say your are going to find easy to achieve it (or get it), but it's always nice to know the pot of gold is there, at the end of the rainbow... more in a sandbox campaign like this one.
And about the "missing" players...
Imagine you don't have a "meat shield". I will design the encounters so you can win them by tactics and surprise, commando style. Or you don't have a band-aid box, sorry, a cleric, well, there will be a nice church around to pay for your protection in Wands of Healing. Of you don't have any arcane magic users... well, the broken lands will be like Conan's Cimmeria, with very limited magic (a favorite of mine).
So no, no "public" recruitment for me. But if you know some player from other campaign who you think will enjoy this, I beg you tell him, and we can add him up.
So we recruit by recommendation only ;)
So, I have homework to do, and you have homework to do, and we start Monday. Questions and comments, of course by all means, and as soon as you have them (no need to wait until Monday).

Hey Sault, if you ever do pop back in here, hope that all goes well for you and it's a bummer we couldn't game together. If you could please do us a favor and label this game as inactive that way it'll clean up the profile a bit that would be great. Thank you and good luck!

I wish to apologize to everyone for disappearing. It was rude and unkind, however unintentional. You see, I simply forgot. There's a long story that involves family drama, a disputed inheritance, dying matriarchs, and a long drive across the Nevada desert accompanied by an 80S soundtrack, but really, the heart of the story is rather unoriginal.(I swear on my collection of holy books, everything it's all true.)
Just wanted to pop back in to apologize and give people some idea of what happened. Sorry, and thanks for letting me play with you.
P.S. I remembered when one of the guys from our RL group tracked me down and suggested doing a skype session during the summer holiday. That got me thinking Hmm, if Skype doesn't work, we could use the Paizo website to... Oh crap.
