Yeah, though DM recruitment threads usually go over like a lead balloon. Always more PC's than DM's. We can always try it, especially since we've got a tight storyline. It would be a bummer to waste all that work...

So, Sault, I'm really curious if you are able to continue this campaign. If you can't, that's really ok. This is a game, life goes on. But I would like to know so we can move on and try to salvage this. I worked really hard on that storyline because I really want to play Kingmaker. It's nothing personal, but if you can't respond to our posts we're going to have to move on. Just let us know if you're ok and if you'll be able to continue with us or not.

I'm seconding the above. I understand hardship at work. I've pulled my share of 70 or 80 hour weeks.

If your workload is too much for you to run the game, let us know and we'll work with you to find a replacement.

If you are just having a bad week, give us some kind of idea what your timeline looks like. You left us with very little information and the IG post seems to imply that we'll have several weeks or month of OOG time to wait before the AP starts.

I agree I am very excited about playing this and am very much wanting to see this happen.


You guys keep posting and I'll keep playing. Remember you can always take tens on activities and if you beat a standard DC for it survival rolls, craft checks things like that and assume it goes through.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but in your recruitment post it asked for a minimum one post per day, more if we can. You also said

I'm all for moving forward with the campaign. If the trend of posting every few days is going to continue, however, I'd rather you worked with us to find a new GM.

It's unreasonable, as Garion pointed out, to ask for us to post every day and then for you to go a week and a half without posting.


If you want to drop feel free. It is a game after all. I know there were times when not everyone has responded in a timely manner. If it is really that much of a problem I won't feel bad about canceling the game.

Sorry if I came off a little rude, I mean it. I really just want to play, I have no desire to drop. We just weren't sure what was going on and you weren't responding to our concerns, which made us a bit worried. I know I've gotten busy too and it's been hard to post. We don't need to know the details of your personal life, just that you're ok with continuing on and that we can keep a solid pace.

Let me re-emphasize something - I want you to be our GM and I want to play the hell out of Kingmaker.

I cannot speak for anyone else, but please don't delay responding to the party just because Garren hasn't spoken up in a bit (meaning this "round" of conversation). Sometimes a fellow is just quiet. I'd rather the story had a chance to move forward and Garren was just lost in thought or pondering the complexities that Erastil throws at him.

I mean Combat? Yeah, wait for me to shoot someone, or heal, or whatever. But conversations are hardly ever round robin.

So I feel like a real piece of garbage for doing this but I don't think I'm going to be able to keep up to my own standards of daily posting.

I got a shift change at work and am still recovering from a surgery last fall which requires about 2 hours in a gym.

I'm willing to keep going, albeit at a slower pace, if you guys allow it. If not I can look for a replacement DM.

I'm okay with that. Life happens. Actually, is there a time we could all be on together? Even if it only happesn for say an hour once or twice a month that would help move things along nicely. Thoughts? I'm usually available morning 7-9am MST and evenings, say 7-10pm MST, though I could definately go earlier in the morning if that would help people. My last job was 4am custodial, so I can get up whenever.
