OK! My clock says it's Friday, so submissions are closed, and I just spent a while agonizing over who's in and who's not. Next time I start a campaign around here I'm going to need to go with a much shorter window.
Pretty sure I found the magic combination of a good mix of classes/genders/races/NPC connections/points of origin though, so as soon as I bounce it off someone, I should have the list of who's in here and end the horrible horrible period of waiting to hear.
By the way...
Oh how lovely Aleon Hunter has a secret crush with a male NPC. I will gladly follow that AP!
Not this time it seems, but my previous experience with this AP included a super tough ulfen barbarian (with a rather odd high concept build that involved hand-forging and throwing Large great swords), who rather late in the AP surprised everyone when it was finally revealed that a full year of teasing Sandru and offering to forge him proper swords to come out on the front line was because he had a crush on him.

OK... assuming there isn't some sudden objection due to one player being the secret mortal enemy of another, it seems those playing in this particular iteration of this AP will be...
Aleon Hunter
Kairi
Niveus Anguis
and
Saif al-Fajr
I think honestly everyone else seriously was this close to making the cut. There were a few rosters I ran through, stopped only by "wait, that'd be an all male party," "none of these is a caster," "can't have everyone tied to Shalelu," and a nasty little snag of not wanting two people both aspiring to be an amazing chef. So... seriously, if anyone drops at some point, I'm coming back to this list. If anyone else is thinking of running this, you can pull another full party out of these concepts easily. If I go entirely crazy a month down the line when I'm between projects I might even come back to this list, but for now, those 4 made the cut.
So, if you're one of those 4 people. Tada. Discussion thread, gameplay thread, have at it. And if you aren't, again, you were real close!

Thanks for considering us GM! It looks like it should be an awesome adventure, congratulations to everyone who made the cut :)
...and if another GM wants to raise their hand I'd be eternally grateful for your consideration as well ;)
EDIT: Honestly, I'd love to run the campaign myself, there were so many wonderful characters. At the moment I'm a bit crazy with my final year of law school, work and wedding planning, but if things settle down in a month or two, I might come back and run a campaign from the list (assuming Googleshng doesn't beat me to it).

I almost want to make a whole party of different types of chefs characters for a Jade Regent game... call it Master Chef Minkai or something.

Skalds? Rock opera? I'm in!!! :D

Thank you. Looks like I barely made it in.
I've been mulling over how to make reign of winter into a rock opera with a party full of bards for months now.
That sounds awesome. I have this idea of having a homebrew campaign that is a little similar to what your saying. Its a group of bards that lost a battle of the bands contest to a full succubi band. Afterwards, they all become paladins, a buttkicking paladin band out for revenge.

ohh well. have fun in the game everyone. but hey googleshng was my goblin spookra on the real close list?
Yeah, everyone was pretty much in a 21-way tie. With a different party composition to wedge you into, I could have a lot of fun with a goblin into a caravan with Shalelu the goblin hunter on board.
