I'm having a really good time with this campaign too. It's not so common to see so much enthusiasm in a PbP from everyone involved. Thanks for having me along!

Hoping for some clarity (and to be helpful):
I want to clarify who has what from what we have found. Looking back through the posts, and my apologies for what I missed! I have the following categories - Booty (aka loot), the items we know are in the armory, and the items we "know" are in crew footlockers.
Questions:
who took the third spell component pouch -I think it would be Beket, but want to be sure we all know this.
We have 2 light maces unclaimed - Bessie will take one if no one else wants it.
What did Bleepos take from Armory Chest 3- or was he able to hide it all?
Can we designate a PC to track loot? ... and yes, I realize I am volunteering unless someone else wants to do it or unless Iron wants to do it himself - I just thought it would be one less thing for him to track.
#################################################################
Also - things we need to look into:
Owlbear
The pirate that was in the cage on the mizzen mast...dead?alive? still there? Who? Why?
Whatever Bleepos did get from chest 3 needs to be moved into Booty... and potentially identified.

aye, that squares with what I saw. I believe Beket did take the 3rd spell pouch to be able to cast his spells w/material components
Beket Runetooth |
I would definitely take the last spell component pouch, as long as everyone is fine with that.
I remember that, in one of my games, one of my GM's introduced a Loot sheet for Google Sheets. Works just like an Excel sheet and can calculate our loot and everything for us. I'll get it in a bit, if people are interested.
Bleepos Droppo |
Yep! And the chart+tools I got are from my starting gear (I believe Nasifi got her full starting gear as well).
We should probably put it all in a spreadsheet. Of course, the starting gear of each one shouldn't count as "party loot".
Bessie Rodgers |
I believe I just heard Beket volunteer to track loot, that sounds great!
Agreed about starting items - I was trying to track what the party has to use more than who is getting what "cut" of treasure; so that it would be more than just party loot. Had a game where a pc died because no one in the party realized he had a healing potion in his gear... it helps if we know what stuff each other has unless the pc has some reason to keep it secret - and hey we are pirates, so that shouldn't be an issue if anyone does decided not to tell all. (IMHO)
Beket Runetooth |
Okie dokie, I created the sheet for everyone so hopefully it'll work just fine. The main page is for general/unclaimed loot and we can keep track of who has what and how much something is worth.
Each one of us can also take a player-specific sheet so we can more easily track our belongings and gold. This link should allow you guys to edit and change things.
Let me know what you guys think!
EDIT: If we like it, do you think we could get the link onto our campaign page? It'd be nice to be easily able to reference it. :)

The bilge is crowded so I just made the assumption you are waiting a round or going to use magic like bessie to support when/if the others get in trouble.
Note to all: I forgot to mention. I use weapon finesse with finesse weapons as a free feat. It seems to me if a weapon is designed to be used with dexterity then you would train with it that way. Therefore, if you are proficient with a finesse weapon, you may use Dex.
Bleepos Droppo |
Since finesse is part of a class features for rogues, could I maybe take a free feat, then? It’s basically making it free for everyone.

Hey guys, I'm being sent out of town from Aug8-Aug15. I hope to still have internet access, but I can't guarantee that. I will do my best to keep up on my games, though I expect my posting rate will drop. My apologies in advance. Please bot me if needed.

I wanted to rehash hit points.
full hit points first level + (1/2HD+1) per level thereafter
Vladimir: CON +2, skald1 8+2 + skald2 5+2 = 17
Nasifi: CON +2, alchemist1 8+2 + alchemist2 5+2 = 17+3 = 20
Bleepos: CON +2, rogue1 8+2 + rogue2 5+2 = 17
Bessie: CON +0, cleric1 8 + cleric2 5 = 13
Guillaume: CON +3, kineticist1 8+3 + kineticist2 5+3 = 19+3 = 22
Beket: CON +2, druid1 8+2 + druid2 5+2 = 17
Did I miss anything? I know during this combat anyone who chooses may embrace the skald song and get a +2 CON which will give 2 HPs.
Ironperenti |
ahh, you are correct.
Not everyone used their FCB on HPs.
Therefore:
Vladimir: CON +2, skald1 8+2 + skald2 5+2 = 17 +2FCB = 19
Nasifi: CON +2, alchemist1 8+2 + alchemist2 5+2 = 17+3 = 20 + 2FCB = 22
Bleepos: CON +2, rogue1 8+2 + rogue2 5+2 = 17 + 2FCB = 19
Bessie: CON +0, cleric1 8 + cleric2 5 = 13 + 2FCB = 15 (looks like Bessie did not put the FCB on skills, so I assume HPs)
Guillaume: CON +3, kineticist1 8+3 + kineticist2 5+3 = 19+3 = 22 + 2FCB = 24
Beket: CON +2, druid1 8+2 + druid2 5+2 = 17 + 2FCB = 19
I think this either left you where you were or added a HP or two to everyone. Some people seemed a little low. I tried to check skills to see if you were using a FCB there. If I missed it and I threw it on HPs let me know.
Bleepos Droppo |
I will add my DEX to bonus on the bite, until I get to find or purchase an effortless lace for my madu (well, and until I get my madu back... Hehe).

I haven't done any crafting before so I wasn't entirely certain about what's involved. As I understand it, since Alchemists Kindness has no particular ingredients they're assumed to be available. The stuff is basically hangover Alka Seltzer so it should be possible to find them in a kitchen anyway I'd guess.
I couldn't find a specific crafting DC for it, but most simple alchemical items seem to be DC 20 so I went with that. In any case Alchemists Fire is DC 20 and the stuff shouldn't be more difficult than that to make I figure.
For Day Action I went with shirking as the closest one that seemed to fit.
Looks like the cost to make the stuff is 3 silver. No idea who I'd pay it to, but I can deduct 3 from Nasifi's money if you like.
I'm also going to assume Nasifi can prep her formulae and bombs for the day at this point as well if that's alright.
Bessie Rodgers |
@ Nasifi - in Paizo's usual fashion of having all the information you need spread out over 3-4 locations... the below should prove helpful for DCs. Alchemist's Kindness is DC 20 to craft.

Hey team! Sorry about the lack of updates - Paizo’s outage unfortunately was combined with some issues here at work and I’m having to put out some fires. I should go back to normal posting next week. Please feel free to bot me!
Ironperenti |
There are days with events and other days that are just the standard day action evening action. We can play through each of them or we can do batches of days and summarize a bit. You've gone through the rigor of the daily process and now have the flow. I think we could do something like:
Assume everyone has fallen into duties that they are best at other than Bleepos (rat catcher) and Beket (swabbing the decks). Then I'll declare the number of days. You can then make the necessary number of work rolls, announce actions and/or attempt to influence members of the crew. Or, we can take it day by day.
Bessie Rodgers |
@Iron (+All) - I am agreeable to either method.
I think there is merit to both options... in playing each day it lets us run amok (role play) as events transpire. On the other hand, moving the story forward to key events helps speed things along real world time and eliminates what might become tedious/repetitive things where we no longer role play "normal" activities out (or are simply repeating activities).
Beket Runetooth |
Stupid boards making me miss fighting Owlbear. I would've went slugging against the man. :(
I'm for doing it in batches. It'll speed things up. However, I'd like to have moments where we can. Maybe use OOC or Spoilers for roleplays with each other between scenes if we get ideas?
Vladimir Oleg |
hmm, there's value to both. We could also do like 'an unusual day every week,' where we skip a lot of the day to day, but zoom in on the odd day here and there
Nasifi Calaso |
I'm fine with the accelerated version. But what about some kind of combo? One day accelerated and one day regular alternating or something like that?
